Bad Boy: You Are Not Alone by Kelli Walker (10)

Chapter 10

Tina

My god, Spencer was a loud fucker. Literally. I woke up that morning with a pounding headache from being sick with all that shitty wine, and here he was banging the headboard against the wall while his squeaky toy went to town with her fake ass sounds to keep his dick hard. But honestly? The squeaking was a bit funny. She sounded like one of those overpriced dog toys people who are obsessive over their pets buy for them, and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

But I couldn’t laugh too much, because that shit hurt my head.

I sat up in bed much to my dismay, but when I saw the tylenol and water sitting on the bedside table I gladly gathered it all up in my hands. I threw the pills back and chugged the water, then laid back down so they would have time to work. Part of me wanted to fall back asleep and part of me wanted to go downstairs and get some bread to soak up the rest of this alcohol, but I was honestly having too much fun listening to Spencer try to be a man.

“Take that dick. You like that, ya little bitch? Huh?”

I put my hand over my mouth to stifle a giggle. Spencer was around six feet tall and maybe 150 pounds soaking wet. We teased him all the time about needing to eat more food, and Brit and I were both secretly jealous at the foot he could eat without putting on weight. By all accounts, he was the lankiest person we’d ever met, and he always seemed to have a penchant for the bigger women.

Now, there was nothing wrong with a bigger woman, but when you paired her with the likes of Twiggy McGee, it got a little comical. I bet her boobs swallowed his face whole and his dick got lost in her ass cheeks before he found her vagina.

“Yes, Daddy. Oh, yes!”

Yikes. The woman he’d brought back was one of those. Granted, nothing deterred Spencer from slamming some pussy, but I did hear the bed falter for a second. But, after what he said next, I vomited a little in my mouth and got up to go downstairs.

“You like the dick Daddy has to give you?”

First off, I needed to educate him on the fact that he wasn’t doing that right. Second off, if I wanted any more of an appetite, I needed to get the hell outta dodge. I slowly stood myself up and managed to get my robe wrapped around me. I didn’t care what I looked like and I figured if I stunk that bad I could rinse my mouth out in the downstairs bathroom. But, if I stank too much, I’d just chug some orange juice and let the acidity do its thing until Spencer was done with… well, whatever that thing he was doing was.

I slowly made my way down the stairs and I had to grasp the railing tighter than I was proud of. I got myself into the kitchen that was now surprisingly clean, and I smelled the wonderful smell of coffee. I groaned out loud when I saw the practically-full pot percolating in the corner, and I grabbed a drinking glass rather than a mug to pour it in. I needed it black to get rid of the last of this hangover, and I needed a lot of it.

It wasn’t until I turned around that I even realized Kevin was on the couch.

“Why the hell are Brady’s pants down to his ankles?” I murmured.

“Brit was trying to suck him off but Brady wanted to dude chat instead,” he said matter of factly.

Oddly enough, that didn’t surprise me one bit.

I chugged my first tall glass of coffee before I poured another one into the cup, and then I reached for the kitchen door to find something to eat. We had apples, grapes, some watermelon and some blocked cheese. There was milk, but no cereal; bread, but no peanut butter; and leftover meat that turned my stomach a bit when I thought about heating it up.

And then, tears involuntarily rose to my eyes.

I sniffled and brought my hand up to my eyes and I suddenly felt the weight of the world shift. The fog in my mind slowly began to clear and my headache quickly began to recede, and that’s when the events of last night came barreling back to the forefront of my memory. Kevin, the kitchen, our little tryst, his questions…

… shit about my father…

“Fuck,” I breathed.

I leaned my head against the cool freezer door and let the fridge shut closed. Spencer and his little honey bunny were really going at it now, but all I could hear were my father’s words echoing inside of my head.

“Don’t be like me. Don’t be like me. Don’t be like me.”

I heard footsteps from behind but I didn’t bother to turn around and see who it was. A strong pair of arms wrapped around my jumping stomach, and for the first time in years I couldn’t physically hold back the tears rising to the surface. My face crinkled up and my hands rushed to my face, and all of a sudden I lost control of the entirety of my body.

“Why the hell-... is-... is this-... ha-happening t-”

“Ssshhh…” the soothing voice behind me coached. “Just focus on your breathing.”

I turned around in the arms of the person who was helping me along, and I realized it was Kevin. His tall body was shielding me from the world-- and from Brady, if he woke up because his dick was cold. I clutched onto the fabric of Kevin’s clothes and I tried to regulate my breathing, but when his hand slowly began to stroke my hair I realized I wouldn’t be able to.

Not this time.

This was my daddy we were talking about, and I just couldn’t let that slide.

“Why is he dying?” I choked out.

“I don’t know,” Kevin murmured.

“Why did he say those things to me?” I whispered desperately.

“I guess… maybe he wanted you to take more chances with your life than he did. You know, your dad has always played it safe,” Kevin offered.

“He’s the most successful man I know!” I whined.

“But he also never took vacations, or deviated from his routine, or ever bucked up to your mother. He knew his place and he stuck with me. Maybe he just doesn’t want that happening to you.”

As my tears soaked Kevin’s shirt I took in what he’d told me. For all the things Kevin is, what he isn’t is something who can come up with that shit on his own. I had a feeling the man with his dick out and pants around his ankles snoring on the couch had something to do with what just flew out of Kevin’s face, and I was way too worked up and tired and sore to be angry over it.

After all, it sounded like all he did was ask Brady for advice.

Why he’d do that during a blowjob, I’ll never understand. But, then again, I never understand these boys half the time anyway.

“I’m so sorry, Tina,” he murmured into my hair. “I’m so, so sorry.”

“I don’t know what I’m gonna do without my daddy,” I choked out.

“There isn’t any part of me that would want to be in your position, Tina, but I need you to hear me when I tell you this: no matter what we are going away from this vacation, I need you to keep in touch with me. Because when your father does pass away, I’m clearing my schedule and I’m coming to you, alright? You won’t do this alone.”

“I’ll have my mom,” I sighed.

“Do you really think your mother will console you the way you will need during that time, Tee?” he asked lowly.

I didn’t have the energy to be mad. Yeah, my family had their downfalls, but normally I would fight someone who ever tried to prey on those downfalls during a conversation.

But my body was too worn out to do anything like that right now.

“I guess not,” I whispered.

“I think Spencer’s finally finished with the woman he brought back. Do you wanna try to get some more rest?” Kevin asked.

But all I did was shake my head ‘no’ into his chest. His arms felt so good around me, holding me as close to him like he was. I wrapped my around around his waist and nuzzled into his broad chest, and for the first time since we’d started whatever the fuck we were doing on this island I didn’t care if anyone saw us like this in the kitchen. As much as I didn’t want to admit it, Kevin was right: my father didn’t really mean don’t ever be like him, ever… he simply meant to live my life in a way he didn’t. He meant to take the vacations he never did and make the memories he never made. He meant to make stories I could tell my grandchildren and see the world through the eyes of a traveler instead of a businesswoman.

But, above all, I think he meant to bust out of my shell. To break this cage I’d thrown up for so long and to finally-- for the first time in my life-- to not be afraid of the person my mind was wanting to turn me into.

Maybe he would’ve said “don’t be like your mother” had she not been standing right there.

I chuckled lightly at the thought into Kevin’s chest, and he craned his head down before he lifted my chin up to catch his gaze.

“Feeling better?” he grinned.

“A bit,” I admitted.

“You wanna try for some more rest now that Spencer’s done making us all feel like we need a shower?”

“I heard that!” Spencer called out from down the hallway.

“You’re nasty!” I called back at him.

“Morning to you, too!”

“You gotta have a night in order to have a morning,” Brady murmured on the couch.

“Put your dick away, that’s gross,” Spencer quipped.

“Really? And what you did wasn’t just as equally gross?” I asked.

“At least I did it in my room. Brady over there was all too happy to let Brit blow him on the couch!” Spencer exclaimed.

“What’s for breakfast?” Brady asked.

“You gotta have dinner to have breakfast,” Spencer mocked back at him.

“You guys didn’t eat dinner last night?” I asked.

“And by the looks of the kitchen when we came in, you two didn’t eat dinner either,” Spencer smirked.

“He’s talking about the mess we left in the kitchen,” Kevin murmured to me.

“Yeah. And that wet spot my girl found on the floor with her foot.”

“Oh, shit,” I groaned.

“Nasty. I want this entire kitchen disinfected,” Spencer teased.

“I hate you all,” I groaned.

“You love us all, and you know it,” Spencer winked at me.

“Why don’t we get some rest and go into town today so the three of these nasty hoes can recuperate?” Kevin suggested.

“Let me get a long ass shower without wine in my system and I think I could get behind that plan,” I smirked.

“Don’t stay out too late,” Brady murmured.

“Put your dick away!” Spencer yelled at him.
