Crave To Claim (Myth of Omega Book 3) by Zoey Ellis (10)

CHAPTER TEN

DROCCO

He groaned at the feel of smooth warm hands caressing his back as he worked in and out of the slick, tight, heat.

He gripped his Omega tighter, drawing a whimper from her that told him she loved it. The satisfaction of that nestled deep within him, and he reveled in the complexity of her aroma as it filled the air around him. It signified she had been waiting for him, that she wanted him, and that she was his.

He flipped her onto her back, drew her legs up, and lay on his side, positioned himself horizontally, her legs over his hips, as he pushed into her. She moaned at the feel, her eyes closed, her back arching, and he bit back a moan as she clenched along his cock. He began to fuck her again, watching the beauty of her body jerking, her round stomach exposed to the ceiling, her full breasts bouncing, her head tilted back, he reached forward and grabbed her neck, applying that pressure he knew she loved. Immediately she came, shuddering and convulsing, her slick gushing on his cock and the cries out of her mouth forcing him to drive harder into her as her pussy tightened around him. Fuck, it was almost too much. He watched as her body became limp, and then ran his hands down her chest, feeling her purr still vibrating from her.

He rose, widening her legs so he could settle between them. Her purr kept him tethered to the moment, not allow him to drift into any unsettling thoughts that threatened to crowd him. He simply allowed himself to be overwhelmed by the feel of her. The orgasm gripped him, pulsing a maddening euphoria through him, every muscle taunt, the tingle of his balls bounding over his whole body. He spurted into her, holding onto her tightly and reveling in every sense that she had dominated before dropping onto her, sated.

Drocco became aware of himself slowly.

Cailyn lay underneath him once again, fast asleep, her purr soft and mellow as she sought to keep her nose in the crook of his neck. He stroked his fingers through her hair, caressing her face, her shoulders, and running his hands up and down her body, soaked with his seed and scent.

As much as he loved waking up with her underneath him, the lack of memory regarding the start of their encounter and how it got there set him on edge. It unsettled him. The only thing that kept him reasonably sane about the entire thing, was that Cailyn seemed to be completely satisfied whenever he awoke from the strange daze he had been in. She was content underneath him, breathing him in, and a sweet tinge in her scent suggested the baby was healthy and thriving. Still, he didn't like being so out of his mind that he could not remember what had happened between them.

He lowered his face, gently turning her slack mouth to his and kissed her softly, sucking on her lips and brushing his tongue against hers. Soon, his knot would shrink, and once again Mother Azia would be back to tell him to undo the chain around her neck. The woman had been persistent about it and had never failed to turn up as soon as his knot shrunk to make her demands.

He had no idea how long this could go on for, already he felt that he had been here for months. The only consolation he had, was that the charm chain around his neck had begun to vibrate more frequently every time he was aware enough to notice it. He knew the twins were close. When they arrived Mother Azia would have a lot to pay for. Until then, he had to endure with the unsettling feeling of being completely out of his mind at times.

"If you do not take off the charm chain now, this may go too far for you to ever redeem yourself," came a low voice from the door.

Drocco tensed. He turned to see Mother Azia at the door, her face firm and serious. Something about it put him on edge, heightened his focus. “It has already gone far enough,” he said sternly.

“It has,” Mother Azia agreed. “And yet you still won’t do it. You will not give Cailyn or your child that freedom. If you will not remove the charm chain, the child will have to live sheltered and without the Talent."

Drocco snarled. "Is that what this is about? Allowing my child to have the Talent?" He chuckled, humorlessly. "I'm sure you know my feelings about the Talent. I have no interest in my child being able to use it. Your threats will never work, Omega.”

"You are the threat," Mother Azia said forcefully. "You are hurting Cailyn beyond repair. I wanted to teach you that your instincts are unsafe for your Omega, and you have proven yourself too stupid or too delusional to accept that fact. It pains me to let Cailyn suffer due to your stupidity, but it is the only way for you both to see. As for your daughter, it is obvious that you want her to be mounted by as many Alphas as possible. As many Alphas that come into contact with her and smell her with no blocks, no protection. It is clear that you want rape to be your daughter’s experience of the world. And that is why I have no problem taking her from you."

Drocco growled, sitting up. Cailyn whimpered at the sudden loss of heat, but he covered her with the blanket from the bed, his eyes remaining on Mother Azia. "I can protect my child."

"Your ego knows no bounds," Mother Azia snapped. "You cannot be there all the time. You will die before her. Why not give her the chance to protect herself? It is foolish to believe that you will be able to protect all her life. What kind of idiot is leading the Eastern Lands now? You cannot even see that you hurt Cailyn, of course you cannot see how you may hurt your daughter. You are an irresponsible Alpha and it pains me that Cailyn, of all of the Omegas, is the one who has turned out to be your mate."

Although he hated the Mothers and despised everything she said, her words pierced him. Irresponsible? That was the one thing he had tried to never be. "Just because I'm rough with her doesn’t mean I'm hurting her," he said harshly, trying not to shout.

"The last time those sheets were changed," Mother Azia said pointing to the bed, "there was blood all over them. You made her bleed and you didn't even notice!"

A cold shock gripped Drocco. That could not be true.

"And before you tell me that I'm lying," Mother Azia snapped, "why don't you look now and see whether you have once again ruptured something in her to cause her pain and suffering yet again?"

Drocco hesitated for a moment, and then pulled back the blankets to examine his Omega. He drew a breath in at the sight of blood on the sheets. It was clearly fresh and had come from between his Omega’s legs. As soon as he saw it, he could suddenly smell its odor, and yet before that, he had not noticed it at all.

Frozen for a moment with shock, his heart plummeted from the idea that he had been so wild that he had hurt her internally. Carefully, he began to check her all over, dismayed to find the old and new bruises and welts on her body. The only area that remained clear was her swollen stomach and for that he breathed out slowly, relieved.

By the time he turned back to Mother Azia, the twins were back in the room. In his confusion and dismay, he didn't even fight them. He simply let them take him, his mind in turmoil as he contemplated the horrific idea that he was causing Cailyn irreparable damage.

***

"I will take it off."

Mother Azia stood staring at him from the other side of the magical wall. "You will take off the charm chain?"

Drocco clenched his fists harder. This was much harder to do than he had expected, but in the last few hours, since he had seen Cailyn, he realized it was necessary. The anger and rage was rising again and soon he wouldn’t even able to remember the distressing thoughts he had been mulling over. He could not allow this situation to continue. The fact that Mother Azia would let it, burned him to the bone, but he could not ignore his own responsibility. It annoyed him that in all the time he spent soothing her while she slept, after they mated, he hadn’t noticed he’d hurt her. But it was clear that he did and it had to stop. Keeping the charm chain on, was not worth her suffering. Not like this. If the Mothers had been truthful about allowing them to leave, he could formulate some kind of plan to keep their daughter with them, but right now his concern was Cailyn's well-being. "I will remove it," he confirmed, his voice so low it was hoarse.

Mother Azia nodded slowly. "You give your word?"

"Yes!" Drocco roared, his anger suddenly gripping him. "I will remove it providing you let us go."

Mother Azia nodded again before turning and leaving the room.
