Down on the Farm (Ames Bridge Book 1) by Silvia Violet (9)

CHAPTER NINE

“Come in,” Cal called when Beck knocked on his door that night. He’d gone back and forth about whether to show up, and finally decided if he and Cal didn’t fuck that night, it would happen eventually. No way in hell were they going to spend the next few months as neighbors without doing something about the sexual tension crackling between them. So stupid or not, he was giving in to what his dick wanted.

“I’m in the kitchen,” Cal said, but it was unnecessary. Beck saw him at the sink, rinsing dishes to put in the dishwasher. His gaze drifted down to Cal’s well-rounded ass, his thighs, his calves. Damn, his legs looked hot in those worn jeans. He was barefoot, and somehow even that was sexy as hell.

Cal looked over his shoulder when Beck entered the kitchen. “Hey.”

“Hey.” Neither of them seemed to know what to say next.

“Um…I’ll be done with this in a minute.”

“No problem. You want me to put those away?” Beck gestured toward a cluster of glasses on the counter.

“Oh, I forgot those when I was unloading, but you don’t have to—”

“No problem; do they go in one of the cabinets above them?”

“Yeah, the one on the left. Thanks.”

Beck put the glasses in the cabinet in neat rows, glad to have something to occupy him, because otherwise, he might’ve just jumped Cal to keep himself from chickening out and taking off for home.

As he tried to fit the last two glasses into the crowded cabinet—Cal’s parents must have left all their dishes here—he heard the dishwasher come on.

Suddenly, Cal was right there. Beck turned around, and their eyes met. For the space of a breath, neither one of them said anything. Beck’s cock swelled as he stared at Cal. Finally, he swallowed and forced out some words.

“You said we could finish what we started.”

“What exactly did we start?”

“This.” Beck reached for him, gripping the back of his neck and pulling him down. When their lips met, he groaned into Cal’s mouth.

Cal ground against him, moving his hips so his cock rubbed against Beck’s. The kiss grew sloppy, desperate. Cal pushed his hands under Beck’s T-shirt and kneaded the muscles of his back.

“Need you,” Beck murmured.

Cal sank to his knees, and Beck reached back to grip the counter as shock dizzied him.

Was this really happening? Was Cal McMurtry going to suck his cock?

Beck’s mouth hung open as Cal unfastened his jeans, pushed his fly open, and then nuzzled—fucking nuzzled—against his cock, which was now rock hard.

“Cal?” His name was more of a breath than a word.

He looked up.

“You don’t have to—”

“Shut up.”

Beck did exactly that, and he didn’t dare move when Cal pulled his cock free of his underwear and wrapped a big, rough, strong hand around it. Oh my God.

Cal stroked him then, slowly. Up and down. “Fuck. That’s…wow.”

Cal smiled as he leaned closer and took the tip of Beck’s cock into his mouth, making Beck squeeze the counter so hard, he feared it would crack.

A cool breeze ruffled his hair, easing the heat Cal had stirred in him. Oh shit! The window behind him was wide open. Was there anyone else on the farm?

“Cal, what if someone—”

Cal met his gaze, and Beck couldn’t have said another word if his life depended on it. He eased Beck’s cock from his mouth and gave it a long, slow lick. “I’m going to suck you, and you’re going to enjoy it. Afterward, if you still have complaints, you can register them.”

“N-no complaints.”

Cal grinned. “Good.”

Cal took him deeper this time, sucking with a focus and skill that had Beck fighting the urge to thrust into his mouth. Beck had had his share of blowjobs, but none of them had been like this. Cal sucked Beck like it was his favorite thing in the world.

“So good, Cal, so… Fuck, you’re killing me.”

“Mmm,” Cal hummed around his shaft. Then he shocked the hell out of Beck by taking him down to the root. Beck knees buckled. If he hadn’t been leaning against the counter, he might’ve sunk to the floor.

Cal held on to his hips, as if sensing he needed more support, but his rhythm never faltered. He kept going, sucking, licking, using just enough teeth to feel slightly dangerous but oh-so-good. When he started massaging Beck’s balls, Beck knew he’d be lucky to last another minute.

Cal looked up at him then, and that was all it took to bring him right to the edge. The sight of Cal’s lips stretched around his cock was the hottest thing Beck had ever seen.

“Cal, I…I can’t hold back.” He pushed at Cal’s shoulders, but Cal shook his head and kept sucking him. Fuck, he was really going to…

Heat coalesced in his balls, and he couldn’t think anymore. All he could do was feel as he shot his load down Cal’s throat.

Cal swallowed every fucking drop.

When Cal sat back on his heels and ran his hand over his mouth, Beck had barely recovered enough to breathe. He wasn’t sure he’d ever come that hard. He felt like his bones had dissolved. Giving up on trying to stay on his feet, Beck slid down until his ass thumped against the floor.

Cal looked uncertain, maybe even scared. Beck should say something, but he barely remembered his own name.

“Um…”

Yeah, he had nothing. Things hadn’t been awkward between them when Cal’s lips were around his dick, but now he had no idea what to say.

A few seconds later, Cal spoke. “I’ve waited so fucking long to do that.”

“I’ve not even been in town for a week.”

Cal laughed. The sound was bitter, though, not humorous, and Beck suddenly felt much too exposed. He shifted positions and zipped his pants.

“Didn’t you hear me this afternoon? Don’t you get it?”

“Get what?” Beck’s brain wasn’t exactly in top form right then.

“I’ve wanted you since I was like thirteen.”

“You… Really?”

Cal nodded. “I wanted you, even though I would’ve given anything not to. I hated that I didn’t like girls like all the other guys, but if I had to be a freak, why the hell did I want someone so smart and so arrogant.”

“I wasn’t—”

“Yes, you were. You read all the time, and you were too good for running around the farm or riding a tractor or—”

“Wait. You thought I… Did you seriously have no idea how insecure I was? I sucked at sports, and I had no idea how to drive a tractor or do most of the things you did. And you mocking me for it didn’t make me want to hang around with you. Then I moved back, and the first time you saw me, you told me I didn’t know anything about farming, and you stuck me on a damn trick horse, and… Now I don’t know what to think.”

“Even when I heard you were coming back, I still resented how much I wanted you.”

“So what’s changed? Can you really say you don’t resent me anymore?” And if not, why the fuck was Beck there?

“I don’t know.” Cal ran a hand through his hair. “What the fuck are we doing?”

Beck pulled himself to his feet. “I thought I knew, but now…”

Cal looked away. “This was a mistake.”

Wow. In the space of a few moments, Beck had gone from flying to wanting to curl in a ball until the world disappeared. He stood, then headed for the door.

As he turned the knob he looked back, knowing he’d probably regret it. Cal was still sitting on the floor, head hung down. His sides shuddered as he blew out a long breath. When he saw Cal swipe at his eyes, Beck would’ve sworn the floor tilted. Was Cal actually crying?

“Cal?”

“Just go.” His voice was strained, and it made Beck’s throat feel tight. Maybe he was hurting as badly as Beck was? But even so, they had no business starting something between them. Cal was too conflicted about who he was, and Beck didn’t intend to stick around for long.

He stepped onto the porch, closed the door behind him, and started walking. He wasn’t going to look back again.
