Entrance (Thornhill Trilogy Book 1) by J.J. Sorel (47)

CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

Devina Velvet kissed me on the cheek, purring, “Sooo lovely to see you again, Clarissa.” Her hand danced over the silk of my dress. “Now, that is one sublime little dress.” With the projection typical of a singer, Devina’s words traveled. I noticed Jessica stood within earshot. She’d joined the group of Aidan admirers, whose stolen glances and little whispers had been hard to miss.

“And that color is luscious,” she went on. “It suits you. Anything would with the drop-dead figure of yours, girlfriend.”

“Thanks,” I said.

“Where did you get it? It’s such a classic cut, and deliciously silk.”

“I bought it on-line.”

“Oh, one of those designer brands?” asked Devina.

“No, I got it from Vintage Rocks,” I replied. The cat-club went to town, all cackling at my expense. And they didn’t even try to hide it. In what was well-choreographed mockery, they stared at me, whispered, and then laughed.

“They sure made gorgeous dresses back then. You must send me the link.” Devina’s almond-shaped eyes gave a side glance at the giggling gal pals. Projecting her Southern husk, she added, “You’re the belle of the ball, girlfriend. There’s not one chick here tonight that touches you in the beauty stakes, and I love these little darlings.” She pointed to my earrings. “Ooh… diamonds. A little gift from that gorgeous man on your arm?”

At first, I squirmed, not sure if I should divulge that information. But I couldn’t help myself after the battering I’d been receiving. “Yes.” I glanced at Jessica, whose smarmy expression faded into a glower.

Having discovered how tiring unwavering attention could be, I headed upstairs to my own private restroom for some respite.

Upon reaching the landing, I heard Aidan’s voice. “What the fuck is she doing here, Aunt?”

“I have no idea, Aidan. She purchased a ticket like everyone else. We were swamped with requests. We sold out straight after the last event, and to be honest, I didn’t notice a Jessica Mansfield amongst the names. I’d say she used an alias.”

“I hope she doesn’t drink too much and cause trouble. Revenge is written all over her conceited face, and she doesn’t do no.” He sighed deeply. “This is the last event, Greta.”

“The final charity gala?” Greta’s voice tensed. “But it raises cash for your causes. You’re not planning to close them, are you?”

“Of course not. I’ll never do that. There’s too much need out there. It’s what drives me.”

“How will you raise money for them, then? The monthly expenses just keep increasing. And that’s not only because of Bryce but also the rapid rise in need, especially at the women’s refuge.”

“I’ll never abandon women, children, or dogs in need. I’ve got other plans. It’s to do with art.”

I walked past my office and pretended that I hadn’t heard anything.

Aidan saw me, and his face lit up. “Princess.”

“I just needed a little time in my private powder room,” I said.

“You look fabulous, Clarissa,” said Greta, touching my dress. “That dress is striking. I had one similar to that when I was your age.”

“And you too, Greta. Blue really suits you. It brings out your eyes,” I said, genuinely struck by how youthful and attractive Greta looked.

It also made me see how love brought out a glow that cosmetics could never achieve.

Greta smiled, touching my arm affectionately, and left.

Lust was written on Aidan’s face as he stared deep into my eyes. My heart pumped so hard my senses dissolved to the floor. Before my mouth opened, I was in his arms. Aidan’s hands were under my dress, moving up my legs and stopping at the garter. His response so primal he growled.

His fleshy, hot mouth crushed mine, parting my lips, his velvety tongue snaked feverishly around mine. Before I could breathe, Aidan’s fingers had found their way into my panties.

Aidan’s imploring erection pushed hard against my thigh. He unzipped his pants and lifted my dress. His hard cock pushed impatiently into me as he waltzed me against the wall. His need was so extreme, he ripped my panties. His breath rough and fast, he lifted my thigh and entered me with one thrust.

“Ooh… Clarissa. I’m addicted to you, to the way you feel. I love being inside you. You’re so hot and creamy. I just want to eat you, as does my cock.”

What followed was fiery, hard sex. Fueled by the earlier tension, the friction of his thick cock pounding into me had my nerve endings sparking off wildly. My skin was so sensitive that as his hand moved down my bodice to caress my breasts, my nipples pushed out hard against the lace.

His groans became more intense, blending into my own gasps. The build-up was like the crescendo to fire-works. My involuntary spasms made Aidan drive harder and faster until I couldn’t hold back anymore, and a stretched moan escaped my lips.

“That’s it, Princess.” I slumped into Aidan’s arms, tossed about, stars behind my eyes. I panted into Aidan’s neck as his creamy release gushed in, drowning me in raw heat.

His jaw clenched, Aidan trembled in my arms, sighing my name as if starved of air.

We remained against the wall in each other’s arms until our senses returned.

Adjusting my dress in the mirror I said, “No wonder the French refer to orgasms as la petite mort.

Aidan combed back his hair with his hands and cast me one of his adorable lopsided grins. “Do you feel as if you’re dying when you come?”

I nodded. “Don’t you?”

He nodded reflectively. “With you, the release is extremely intense. I’ve never experienced it like that before.”

“Likewise,” I murmured. “Although, I must admit I have nothing to compare it with, other than…”

“Than… what?” Aidan cocked his head. “What haven’t you told me?”

“As you know,” I said, with a nervous giggle. “I haven’t been with any guys, but I…”

His eyes enlarged. “You’ve been with women?”

I had to laugh at his stunned expression. “No…. my hands and Toy Boy.”

“Who the fuck is Toy Boy?” Aidan asked, his face contorted with such intensity, I felt a shiver up my spine. He could be frighteningly jealous.

“Toy Boy is my vibrator. Lately, he’s been relegated to the back of my drawer with Middlemarch.”

Aidan looked puzzled. “Middlemarch?”

“It’s a book by George Eliot.”

Aidan’s lips curled wickedly. “So how do these”— he wiggled his fingers— “and this”— he licked his lips— “and that”— he pointed to his groin— “compare with Toy Boy?”

“There’s no comparison. You, Aidan Thornhill, are a stud.”

He held me again. “And you, Clarissa Moone, are the most arousing woman I’ve ever kissed, touched, fucked, and for the first time ever, made love to.”

My heart melted. “What’s the difference between fucking and making love?”

Aidan exhaled a slow breath. “Um… well, making love is when we’re together all night, touching, kissing, licking, imbibing, swallowing, laughing, fucking, and our hearts swell to the point of no return.”

“And fucking?”

“Just what we did then,” he said. “Only…”

I shook my head. “Only?”

“With you, when I orgasm, it feels as though I’m emptying everything into you, my whole body and soul. So, I guess they’re the same thing.”

Good answer. “I love it when you take me hard, Aidan.”

“I love it hard too. I’m just scared of hurting you,” he said.

I hugged Aidan. “You did,” I uttered in his ear.

Aidan pulled his head back to stare at me. “Why didn’t you say something?”

“It’s divine pain. The type that one can’t get enough of,” I said, arching a brow.

He kissed my cheek and whispered, “I liked you in the shower standing up with your gorgeous curvy butt all hot and wet against my balls.”

“Now I’m getting all steamy again, Aidan.”

He held me tight and kissed me passionately.

We’d taken a few steps when Aidan stopped. “Hey, I’m sorry about Jessica turning up like that. It’s doing my head in, to be honest. She’s a real piece of work.”

“You’re not the type of man a woman gets over easily, Aidan.”

“Hmm…” Aidan took my arm, and his mood brightened. “As Bugs Bunny would say…”

“What’s up, Doc?” I asked, puzzled.

“No.” He chuckled. “On with the show— this is it.” Aidan kicked his legs out like the rooster in Merry Melodies, and I lost it. I laughed like a hyena, so contagiously that we both entered the ballroom giggling like teenagers.

All eyes were on us, especially those of Jessica, whose face soured upon witnessing how easy-going and happy Aidan and I were together. Considering how serious Aidan often was, I imagined his merriment was a rare sight.

Bryce intercepted us. “Have you two been smoking weed or something?”

“No, Bryce, we haven’t,” said Aidan.
