My body was in flames everywhere Jacob touched me. It was so intimate and arousing, I could barely stop myself from coming.
His kisses rained down my torso, stopping on my abdomen. “It feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this,” he whispered, his breath touching my sensitive skin.
“Please don’t wait anymore.”
His lips curved in a tender smile. Then he stepped closer to the table, helping to hold my knees up as his cock touched my opening.
It was freeing not having to worry about anything else in the moment. Not if he’d hurt me or if we weren’t well-matched for each other. It was just him and I in the throes of passion, poised on the brink of absolute bliss.
His fingers grazed the rim of my hole, making my breath catch. And then slowly, more slowly than I thought he could have patience for at a time like this, he slid into me.
He stretched me wide and filled me full, every inch another moment of complete pleasure.
“Jacob,” I gasped when he was completely sheathed inside of me. “That feels so good.”
“You’re so tight,” he hissed through his teeth, eyes closing briefly.
But that didn’t stop his hands from wandering, from tracing the skin on my chest and stomach, from sliding down to my cock to wrap his fingers around it and squeeze.
A thousand bolts of electricity zoomed through me as he began to move. Everything, every single movement he made, every point of contact between us—all of it—was driving me close to the edge.
I never knew it could feel like this. That what we shared could be so magnified and amazing. That it could touch me on a level I never knew was possible.
Still standing at the edge of the table, Jacob was in complete control to take me just how he wanted, and it was such a thrill to know he wasn’t being gentle with me. He was taking exactly what he wanted—and it was everything I wanted to give him.
His hips pumped against me as my body arched with pleasure. “Yes,” I told him. “Keep going.”
Jacob didn’t stop. He kept up the rhythm as my arousal built. Every stroke of his hand and pump of his hips was moments away from making me shatter.
With one last thrust, the whole world exploded. I came against him as he leaned over me, body shuddering with his own orgasm. I clutched his shoulders as my body shook against his and I emptied everything that was inside of me.
“Hawk,” he whispered, breath warm against my lips.
“I’m here. I’m still here.”
He looked into my eyes and smiled. “I know you are. That was…that was everything. I didn’t hurt you?”
“No. That didn’t hurt.”
He pulled out of me and then helped me sit up so he could hold me close. His breath tickled my ear as his arms banded around me.
“I love you so much,” he said.
The catch in his voice surprised me. I pulled back as much as possible to see his eyes. “Jacob.” I brushed my fingers on his cheekbone. “What is it?”
“I feel like I’ve waited so long for you, not even knowing I was waiting for something. I almost sent you away when you got here. I refused to make you into a vampire—all of those things could have gone wrong.” He kissed me softly. “But they didn’t. You’re here. With me. And I love you so much.”
Emotion clogged my throat. Everything he said, everything he was, resonated with me.
“I love you, too,” I told him, my voice dropping to a shaky whisper. “I spent my whole life looking for you, and now I know why. I was meant to meet you all those years ago, so I could find you now. So we could be together forever.”
I couldn’t help the shimmer of tears in my eyes. Couldn’t help but realize how lucky I was. How things could have been so much different. How I had everything I had ever looked for right in this room.
He kissed my eyelids, dashing away any trace of tears. “It was meant to be,” he agreed.
“Are we good?” I asked as he pulled clothes off the floor and passed them to me.
After he tugged his shirt over his head, he asked, “What do you mean?”
“I know you said you’re good, but I want to be sure. Are you okay with me being a vampire?”
He waited until I’d put on my pants, and then took my hand, pulling me against him. His hands ran down my arms and settled on my wrists.
“Yes. I’m okay. Completely okay. It gave us this chance,” he said, grinning at the table where we’d just had sex. “And it means I get to spend the rest of my life with you.”
He smiled, a genuine smile that lit my whole world.
“Good,” I answered.
“But don’t get mad at me if I’m protective. The hunters are still out there,” he warned.
“I know. And it’s my mission to learn more about them—everything I can—so I can help the clan.”
His lips curved. “Trust you to turn it into research.”
“Of course. That’s how I operate. I’m here for you just as much as you’re here for me so I’m going to do my part.”
“You’ve already done everything for me,” Jacob said. “We’re in this together.”
“Forever,” I agreed, and then forgot about my research as he kissed me again.
