Growing Up Santorno: The Santorno Series by Sandrine Gasq-Dion (18)

The kids all hit the bowling alley their first weekend home. Jensen was watching Ryan and Evan joking around, and Hunter came up next to him.

“I think they like each other.”

“No shit, Captain Obvious,” Jensen chuckled.

“No, I mean, like, like each other.” Hunter cocked an eyebrow.

“Well, if they do, they aren’t letting each other know.” Jensen saw Stefan and Nico at the snack counter. “Oh, hell, here comes Jaime.”

“Stefan, Nico.” Jaime slithered beside Stefan and smiled. “How have you been?”

“Stay far away from me, Jaime. You’ve caused enough damage.”

Out of the corner of her eye, Jaime saw Phoebe come in with Chad and she smiled at Stefan and palmed his face.

“You look tired.”

Stefan backed away. “Don’t touch me.”

Jaime took his face in her hands and got as close as she could, still watching Phoebe. “I’m sorry if Phoebe broke up with you.”

Nico noticed Phoebe and Chad and he glared at Jaime. “Stop it right now.”

“She’s here with Chad. She’s moved on. Come on, Stefan, what do you say you and I go out?” Jaime smiled.

“Never, Jaime, and that’s a promise.” Stefan turned away from her.

From where Phoebe was standing it looked as if Jaime was kissing Stefan and she felt her heart break again. She grabbed Chad’s hand and they quickly walked out of the bowling alley. Nico shoved Stefan toward the door

“Go get her!”

Stefan ran out in time to see Phoebe kissing Chad against his car. He walked over anyway and let out a short cough. “It’s not what it looked like, Phoebe.”

“Looks like you two are as tight as ever.”

“We were never tight. You know what? I have tried over and over to apologize. For something I didn’t even have anything to do with, I might add. I haven’t dated since that night or been with anyone else, Phoebe, including tonight. I’m telling the truth! Obviously, you still can’t forgive me — or trust me. I thought you knew me better than that.”

“Move along, Youngblood. She’s not interested,” Chad sneered.

“Hey, Chad, do me a favor and fuck off.” Stefan turned toward the Sabino quarterback.

“Are you trying to start a fight?” Chad cracked his knuckles.

“You really want to go there with me? You’ll go down.”

“Get out of here now, Chad.” Nico had joined them. “This won’t end well for you.”

Phoebe saw the look on Stefan’s face and took Chad’s hand. “Come on.”

“So, I guess lunch is off then, huh, Phoebe?” Stefan called after her.

“I hope you know what you’re doing, Phoebe. Chad has quite the reputation,” Nico warned.

“Just because I’ve gotten laid by chicks and you prefer dudes, Nico, don’t come down on me.”

“Really classy, asshole,” Nico growled at him. “Get the fuck out of here. Now.”

Stefan and Nico watched them leave together before Nico said anything. “I’m sorry.”

“I can’t take it anymore. I have to move on.” Stefan gave Nico a sad smile.

“What did we miss?” Jensen, Hunter, Ryan, and Evan had come out with Colin and Nikolai right on their heels.

“Phoebe leaving with Chad.” Stefan sighed.

Katiana and the rest of the girls hugged Stefan. “It’s okay, we’re here for you.”

“Where’s Tanner?” Nico asked.

“Talking with Arielle and some guy.” Jensen shrugged.

“What guy?” Nico cocked an eyebrow.

“Someone’s jealous,” Evan teased.

“Van.” Nico sighed. “Oh, never mind.”

Phoebe didn’t say a word as Chad drove her home. When they finally got to the house, Chad shut off the car and asked, “What’s going on?”

“What do you mean?”

Chad turned in the seat. “Look, I really like you, Phoebe, and if this is going to work I need to know you like me too.”

“I do like you.” Phoebe kissed him softly.

Chad pulled her into his arms and deepened the kiss. He felt Phoebe tense up and pulled away.

“This is what I’m talking about.”

“What?”

“You won’t really kiss me back. I think this was a mistake.”

“I’m fine.” Phoebe pulled him to her and kissed him.

Chad ran his hands up her thigh and Phoebe pulled away. “Look, I’m not ready for that.”

“Well, I am.” Chad pulled her in and tried to unbutton her pants. The next thing he knew Phoebe’s fingers were in his throat and he couldn’t breathe.

“I said I’m not. Go home, Chad. I could kill you so easily.”

Phoebe released him and got out of the car and then watched Chad peal out with tears in her eyes. No matter what she did, she would always love Stefan. That would never change.

They all went back into the bowling alley and the girls kept Stefan company. Nico’s blood was boiling. The kid with Tanner was showing him how to throw the ball in a curve and was right up on his ass holding his arm at an angle. Tanner was smiling at him and Nico wanted to go over there and beat the shit out of the kid for touching his Tanner.

“Nico.”

Nico snapped his head around to find Lily looking at him; he smiled and pulled her into a hug.

“What’s up?” Lily looked sad and Nico saw that a group of girls surrounded Damon. “Don’t let it bother you; he cares about you.”

“I wish I could believe that.”

“Look, he’s good-looking, charming, and girls like him, but his heart belongs to one girl.”

Tanner let out a laugh and Nico looked over at the table. The guy he was with had taken his hand and Tanner was blushing. Nico’s heart broke and he realized Lily was watching him.

“I could say the same thing to you.”

“What?”

“Tanner has always had a crush on you, Nico.”

“I’m so much older.” Nico sighed.

“Age is a number. If you care, tell him.” Lily took his hand and pulled him away. “Come on.”

By the end of the night, Nico wanted to strangle the kid with Tanner. He was just so damned touchy-feely. Nico shot him a dirty look at one point and the kid had backed off some, but not enough for Nico’s liking.

“Um, Tanner?”

“What’s up?”

“Who is that extremely hot guy watching us?”

Tanner turned around and his eyes caught Nico’s. “That’s Nico.”

“He is so hot.” Arielle sighed.

“Yeah, he is.”

“Oh, my God, Aidan.” Tanner sighed. “You are so gay.”

“So are you.” Aidan chuckled.

Tanner blushed then laughed. “Yeah, I’m figuring that out.”

“Anyhoo. If looks could kill, I’d be dead.”

“What do you mean?” Tanner asked.

“Any time I even touch you I swear he’s envisioning his hands around my throat choking the life out of me.”

“Don’t exaggerate.” Tanner rolled his eyes.

“Okay, Arielle, you watch Nico.” Aidan leaned in and kissed Tanner’s cheek.

Nico almost flew off the chair. The little shit just kissed his Tanner! It took everything he had not to run over there and stomp his face in. Nico curled his fists and took a deep breath.

“Oh, wow,” Arielle whispered.

“What?” Tanner demanded. “What?”

“Aidan’s right, Tanner. Nico is seriously pissed.” Tanner began to turn around and Arielle pulled his face her way. “Don’t look at him for crying out loud!”

“Why not?”

“He’s going to know we’re testing him. He’s got it bad, Tanner.”

“I guess you’re off limits, Tanner.” Aidan took his hand.

“Stop doing that.” Arielle cocked an eyebrow. “I don’t think he can take much more.”

Nico needed air and fast. He went out front and found Jensen sitting on the curb.

“What’s up with you?”

“I have feelings for someone.”

“Hmm, Hunter?” Nico sat down.

“Am I that transparent?” Jensen asked.

“Nope, just one sad guy to another. It’s like a beacon.” Nico laughed.

“Let me join you, then.” Evan had come out and heard the last part of their conversation.

“You too, huh?” Nico smiled.

“Aren’t we pathetic?”

“Ah, I’ve found the right place.” Stefan sat down with them.

“This club is getting full.” Jensen smiled.

Tanner came out with Arielle and Aidan and they stopped in front of the group.

“What are you guys doing out here?” Tanner asked.

“Getting some air,” Nico answered. “Where are you guys off to?”

“My house,” Aidan said. “Movie marathon.”

“Yep, see you guys tomorrow.” Tanner smiled.

“You’re spending the night at his house?” Nico asked.

“Well, yeah.” Tanner shrugged.

Aidan’s dad showed up and the three of them piled in, waiting for Damon. He ran out seconds later and jumped in the car with his brother.

“ ʼNight guys!”

“Oh, I am so ready to go home.” Nico sighed.

“Right with you,” Stefan agreed. “Let’s head out.”

Jensen was spending the night at Hunter’s and they were lying in Hunter’s bed watching horror movies. Jensen had the tub of popcorn and Hunter kept hitting his hand on Jensen’s every time he reached in for it.

“Sorry.”

“You want to hold it?” Jensen handed him the tub.

Hunter met his eyes and almost sighed. He was dying to kiss him. A loud scream from the movie grabbed their attention and both turned to watch it. Jensen pressed back on the pillows and Hunter put his head down on his shoulder.

“You guys need anything?” Brett poked his head in.

“Candy,” Jensen answered.

“Like what kind?” Brett chuckled.

“Movie theatre kind,” Hunter clarified.

Brett went into the kitchen and found Roman eating. He smiled at him and handed him a napkin.

“We just had dinner.”

“I’m still hungry.” Roman looked Brett up and down slowly. “I could use dessert.”

Brett waggled his eyebrows. “Just let me get the kids their candy.”

“You’re my candy — eye candy.” Roman grabbed Brett and kissed him hard. “You just get sexier and sexier!”

“Look who’s talking.”

Brett took the candy in and smiled at his son snuggled against Jensen; they were just about the same height and both of them were already exploding with muscles.

“See you in the morning for breakfast.”

“Pancakes?” Jensen looked hopeful.

“I love your pancakes, Dad.” Hunter winked.

“Fine, pancakes.” Brett rolled his eyes at the two of them. “Anything else?”

“Nah, thanks Dad. I love you.”

“Love you too.” Brett walked out.

Jensen lay back and smiled. “Your dads are so cool.”

“So are yours.” Hunter smiled. “Your dad’s just cute, you just wanna hug him.”

Jensen laughed loud. “That’s what my dad said. He fell for him right away.”

“I wonder if we’ll ever be that lucky.” Hunter looked up at him. God, he had perfect lips.

The urge to kiss Hunter came on strong and Jensen looked at the TV, smiling. “Let’s hope.”

Roman’s hands slid up Brett’s inner thigh and he let out a soft moan. Their lips met and Brett stroked his husband’s strong chest.

“Shhh, Trigger, you’ll wake up the kids.”

“They aren’t sleeping.” Brett let out a small moan as Roman’s fingers entered him.

“They will hear you.” Roman licked Brett’s bottom lip and sucked it in. “Mmm, you ate some of their candy.”

Roman sucked on Brett’s tongue and then searched his mouth. He grabbed Roman and pulled him between his legs, wrapping one leg around him. Roman’s eyes opened as Brett pulled him inside.

“Fuck!”

Brett arched his back as Roman pushed in completely. They moved as one, Brett’s hands gripping his husband’s hair as he hit him relentlessly at every angle and at different speeds. Roman was having a hard time keeping him quiet and he was pretty damned sure the boys heard them at this point. He covered Brett’s mouth, kissing him to quiet him. The loud cry that left Brett’s mouth made Roman laugh as he thought about the undoubtedly horrified looks on the boys’ faces.

“Shhh.” Roman bit his lip softly.

“Then stop making love to me like that!”

Roman increased his speed and both men tumbled over the edge into bliss. They stayed there quietly until Brett started to laugh hysterically.

“What is wrong with you?” Roman laughed.

“I just had this vision of the boys looking at each other thinking you’re killing me or something.”

Roman laughed. “Knowing Hunter he looked at Jensen and said, ‘They’re bangin’.”

“I love you, Roman.”

“I love you too, Trigger.”

Evan was having the same problem as Jensen. He was in bed with Ryan watching a scary movie marathon. He had his hand around Ryan’s bicep, squeezing it with every scary part and Ryan would laugh and call him a girl. Evan just wanted to touch Ryan; he’d use any excuse he could come up with. Ryan had become quite big over the years, bulking up fast. He took after his dad in that aspect and Evan wasn’t complaining.

“Van, you’re cutting off my circulation,” Ryan complained.

“I can’t help it!” Evan laughed. “Why did you pick this movie? You know it scares me.”

Ryan did know that and that’s exactly why he picked it. He knew Van would be close to him and any excuse he could find for that to happen was worth it, even watching the same movie over and over again.

“Here.” Ryan put his arm around him and pulled Van into his side. “Is that better?”

They were looking at each other and Evan couldn’t help moving his eyes to Ryan’s lips.

“Well, helloooo!” Chris poked his head in. “Am I interrupting?”

“Dad.” Evan rolled his eyes.

“I brought you some snacks.” Chris put them on the bed. “I love this movie!”

“It can be on in your room too.” Evan cocked an eyebrow at his dad.

“Oh, I get it.” Chris pouted. “You don’t want me here.”

Evan smiled and grabbed his dad. He put him between him and Ryan and put his arms around him.

“I know you miss Dad. It’s okay.” Evan kissed his cheek.

“Out on another mission with mine, huh?” Ryan asked his uncle.

“Yes. Don’t worry about me. I’ll just go watch some porn.” Chris winked.

“Dad!” Evan blushed.

“What? I didn’t say your porn,” Chris teased.

“Oh, my God!” Evan put a pillow over his face.

“He has porn?” Ryan asked.

“Yep.” Chris winked and crawled out of the bed. “ ʼNight boys.”

“Oh, my God.” Evan’s voice was muffled by the pillow.

“Dude, I love your dad.”
