Growing Up Santorno: The Santorno Series by Sandrine Gasq-Dion (20)

Jensen woke up slowly with Hunter pressed against him. He had put his arms around him sometime during the night. God, he loved being with him. Jensen caressed his face and ran his hand into Hunter’s hair. He wanted to kiss those perfect lips. He heard a soft knock and then his Uncle Brett was peeking in.

“You guys up?” Brett whispered.

“I am.” Jensen replied. He untangled himself slowly from Hunter and got out of bed.

“I’ll meet you in the kitchen.”

Jensen went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He did look like his father. They were mirror images of each other. Jensen smiled and left the bathroom, Hunter was still sleeping, and Jensen pulled the blanket up. Before he could stop himself he leaned down and kissed Hunter’s forehead softly, stroked his face and smiled at him before leaving.

As soon as the door closed Hunter rolled to his back and sighed. He touched his face where Jensen’s hand had just been. Even being away from him for months hadn’t changed how he felt about him. He was in love with his best friend — the best friend who had dated a girl. Hunter sighed and sat up in bed. The fact that Jensen had kissed his forehead should have meant something but the simple fact of the matter was Jensen dated girls — not boys. Hunter dropped back on the bed and covered himself with the blankets.

“Shit.”

Ryan had woken up with Evan in almost the exact same way that Jensen did — Evan was plastered against him and Ryan could feel his slow, even breaths on his neck. God, he was turned on already. Just having Evan in his arms with his lips that close to his neck was driving him crazy.

Evan shifted and Ryan got a perfect view of his face. He moved into him again and pressed himself against him. Ryan’s breath caught in his throat and he put his arms around him to tug him closer. Evan’s lips were at his neck again and they began moving slowly across his skin. Evan’s hand was stroking up his bare back and Ryan moved him even closer, loving the feel of his bare skin on his chest.

There was a knock on the door and Ryan looked up at his Uncle Chris.

“Breakfast is on the table,” Chris said cheerfully.

“Thanks, Uncle Chris.” Ryan got up carefully and headed for the bathroom. He closed the door and looked down at his erection. “You suck,” he whispered.

Chris sat down on the bed and grabbed Evan’s foot. “Oh, stop.”

Evan opened one eye. “What?”

“Fondling Ryan in bed? I should have been in here instead of watching porn.” Chris winked and walked out.

Evan smiled at his father. He had been asleep until Ryan pulled him closer to him and when he felt Ryan’s soft skin on his, he couldn’t resist. Evan sighed and closed his eyes.

“Shit.”

Nikolai got up early to go on his five-mile jog. He had formed the habit of running with his dads in Russia and he wasn’t going to stop now. He knew he had gotten taller because he didn’t have to look up at Colin anymore. Just thinking about Colin made him smile. Several people had asked him out in Russia but he could never get close to anyone. He wanted Colin and only Colin. Colin knew what his fathers did for a living, as did most people, but he obviously didn’t care. It made it hard to make friends when your father was the head of the Russian mob and your other father killed people for a living.

Nikolai looked up to see Nico, Stefan, Conner, and Colin running toward him.

“Morning!” Nico called out when they got closer.

“What are you guys doing?” Nikolai almost drooled. Colin was all sweaty. God, he looks sexy.

“Training Conner and Colin.” Stefan smiled. “Wanna join us?”

“Yep.” Nikolai fell into place next to Colin as they ran.

“You sure got into shape.” Colin was staring at Nikolai’s biceps. Damn, when did he get so big?

“I had a growth spurt.” Nikolai grinned.

They ran the five-mile loop and made their way back to their grandfathers’ house to go swimming. Conner, Nico and Stefan jumped into the pond and Colin stared at Nikolai as he peeled his sweaty T-shirt off. He forced his mouth shut.

“You coming?” Nikolai put his hand out.

Conner was watching Colin’s face and tried hard not to laugh. To say his brother had a crush on Nikolai Markov was an understatement. Colin was in love.

Colin put his hand in Nikolai’s and they went down to the water together. Colin put a foot in and stepped back.

“It’s cold!” he complained.

“You have to hurry up and get in.”

“I’m not that hot.” Colin shifted away from the water.

The next thing he knew, he was over Nikolai’s shoulder, and he was walking them into the water.

“Put me down!” Colin laughed.

“Okay.” Nikolai dropped him in.

“Christ!” Colin popped up out of the water trembling. “It’s freezing!”

“Come here.” Nikolai took Colin into his arms.

The warmth was immediate and Colin rested his head on Nikolai’s chest, hearing his heartbeat.

“You’re so warm.”

His body had an immediate reaction to Colin in his arms. He wasn’t just warm — he was on fire.

“Is that better?” Nikolai looked into Colin’s eyes.

Their eyes locked and Colin’s arms wrapped around his waist. Nikolai’s hand came up and he ran his thumb across Colin’s lips.

“Your lips are blue.”

“I’m feeling warmer now,” Colin whispered.

They both realized it had gotten very quiet and looked over to find the guys smiling at them.

“Oh, don’t let us interrupt.” Stefan winked.

Nikolai let go of Colin and ran his hand through his hair. “Okay, so yeah, you warmer now?”

“Yep.” Colin was warm all right and he was rock hard.

Nikolai went under and Colin shot the guys a look. “Really?”

“Rawr.” Conner laughed and went under.

Nico waded over and picked Colin up. “Chill, Greystone. The Markov boy has it bad for you.”

“Like you have it bad for Tanner?” Colin asked sweetly.

Nico threw him in the water. “There, now you can cool off.”

“Ass.” Colin splashed him. “You have a date tonight.” Colin waggled his eyebrows. He laughed and went under when Nico came after him. They stayed in the pond for another hour before getting out and drying off.

“I wonder how Landon and Joshua are.” Stefan settled back in the sun.

“I called them yesterday. They’re going out clubbing tonight at an underage place. I think he said it was for gay kids,” Conner said.

“Well they won’t have any problems. They aren’t gay but they were raised right.” Stefan winked.

“All of us were,” Nikolai agreed.

Colin reached over and took Stefan’s hand. “As much as I love my sister, Stefan, she’s being an idiot. Even when Conner and I heard what happened that night with Jaime, we both knew you would never kiss someone else — especially…that. I think you need to find a girl and make her see what she’s missing.”

“I appreciate it, Colin, really I do. But it wouldn’t be fair to whomever I was seeing. I’ve only loved one girl my whole life and as much as I’ve tried I just can’t stop.”

“I’m a witness to that.” Nico sighed.

Conner smiled at Stefan. “Colin and I will work on her; that’s a promise.”

“Thanks, guys.” Stefan closed his eyes. He wished he could move one and date. His heart wouldn’t let him.

Joshua sat at the bar with Landon, taking in the club. There was definitely a difference between New York gay and Fort Worth gay. For one, a lot of them were out and proud, there was no hiding it.

“So you guys are from the Southwest, huh?”

Landon smiled. “Yeah. Our grandparents live here.”

“But neither of you is gay.”

“Nope, sorry.” Joshua smiled.

“Oh, it’s no biggie, this place is like a buffet. Besides, I see a table of girls very interested in you two.”

Landon glanced at the back table and, sure enough, there were at least six girls staring at them. One of them motioned them over.

“You up for some fun?” Landon asked.

“I’m a single guy.” Joshua sighed.

“So am I.” Landon smiled sadly.

They ended up partying with the whole table. One of the girls had asked Landon to dance while another one dragged Joshua to the dance floor. At the table, Landon’s phone rang and one of the girls picked it up.

“I wonder who ‘Kat’ is?”

“They said they were single.”

“Hello?”

Katiana checked the phone to make sure she had dialed the right number. “I’m sorry, I’m looking for Landon.”

“He’s on the dance floor, honey, you want me to get him?”

“Is Joshua there?” Katiana looked at Katarina.

“Yep, he’s dancing too. You want me to call them over?”

“No, that’s okay. Thank you.” Katiana hung up and looked at Katarina. “They’re dancing and a girl answered Landon’s phone.”

Katarina looked at Kat; she looked like she was going to cry. “You can’t make judgments, Kat, neither one of us can. They wanted us and what did we do?”

“Doesn’t mean it can’t hurt like hell.” Katiana covered her face.

“This is our punishment.” Katarina sighed.

“Yeah, well, it sucks.”

Tanner bounced off the walls all day. It got to the point where Tyler couldn’t wait for Nico to get there just so he and Damon could have some peace and quiet. With both twins going out, Tyler wanted some one-on-one time with his husband. Damon ran by him with a shirt into Tanner’s room and then ran back out. The next minute, Tanner ran by, going into Damon’s room. Tyler sighed. He felt Damon’s hands in his hair and he closed his eyes, loving the feel of his husband’s fingers massaging his scalp.

“Hey,” Tyler murmured.

“When are they leaving?” Damon asked as he sat down next to him.

“Not soon enough.”

“Where’s that cologne, Tanner?” Damon was searching through their bathroom.

“Under the sink on the left.” Tanner frowned in the mirror; his hair was pissing him off.

“Damon?” Tyler called out, getting off the couch.

“Yeah?”

“You take the car that’s automatic. I don’t want my transmission in the road.” Tyler snickered.

“That happened one time, Dad!” Damon protested.

“Oh my God, why?” Tanner was pulling a comb through his hair.

“It looked fine.” His father stood behind Tanner and ran his fingers through it and styled it as he had seen Tanner do it before.

“Thanks, Dad.” Tanner smiled. They all heard the knock at the door and Tanner froze. “It’s him.”

Tyler answered the door. “Why are you knocking?”

Nico blushed and shuffled his feet. “I didn’t want to just walk in.”

“As opposed to every other time?” Damon cocked an eyebrow.

“Hi, Uncle Damon. Is Tanner ready?”

“I am.” Tanner walked out and had to suppress a gasp, Nico was wearing black jeans with a blue button-up shirt that played up the color of his eyes.

Nico couldn’t stop staring at Tanner. God, he was so beautiful. “You ready to go?”

“Yep.”

“What time should I have him home?” Nico asked his uncles.

“Before dawn.” Tyler snickered.

“Dad!” Tanner blushed crimson.

“Is ten okay?” Nico asked.

“Whenever is fine.” Damon smiled at his nephew and son together.

Damon and Tanner exchanged glances and Damon mouthed ‘whenever’?

“So, what time do I have to be home?” Damon asked his dads.

“Ten.” Damon and Tyler said it at the same time.

“Pffft.” Damon stomped back to his room.

Tanner joined Nico, who put his hand on the small of his back, ushering him out the door.

“You two have fun now,” Tyler called out.

“God, look how cute they are!” Damon smiled at his son.

“Okay, well I’m off to get Lily.” Damon came out in his jeans and T-shirt.

“Wearing that?” Tyler asked.

“Is this not good enough?” Damon looked panicked. “I knew it! I need a new shirt.”

Damon grabbed his son. “You look fine; your dad is messing with you.”

Damon was searching the kitchen and Tyler handed him the car keys. “I’m not sure you should be driving — you just got your license, and you are seriously freaked out.”

“I’ll be fine as soon as I puke.” Damon dropped down and put his head between his legs.

Tyler shared a look with Damon and they both crouched in front of their son. Damon cupped his face.

“Breathe. It’s Lily.”

“I know and that’s why I’m so nervous. Do you know how many times I’ve asked her out only to have her turn me down flat? Why now?”

“Just go with it,” Damon told him.

“Okay.” Damon took a deep breath. “I have to go now or I never will.”

They watched their son get in the car and pull out of the driveway. Tyler turned to Damon and asked, “What do you say we go snuggle in bed?”

Damon picked Tyler up and kissed him. “I like snuggling.”
