Growing Up Santorno: The Santorno Series by Sandrine Gasq-Dion (32)

The rest of the school year flew by and, suddenly, it was summer. Tanner hadn’t spoken to Nico since that day in the hospital and neither of them had tried to call the other. Stefan had watched Nico throw himself into his work. He hardly slept and Tanner’s absence in his life was taking a toll.

“Nico, come with me to Fort Worth for a month. You know Lily wants to see you.”

“I can’t, too much work.” Nico picked up another folder.

“Bullshit!” Stefan knocked it out of his hand. “Get your ass out of that chair and get on that plane!”

“I can’t see him!” Nico stood up. “Don’t you think this is killing me? How do you think Tanner feels when I’m in and out of his life!”

“Then stop this and tell him you love him!”

“You’re one to talk Stefan, what about Phoebe?”

“She made her choice. I asked her how her love life was and she said she was dating.” Stefan sat down.

“In January. It’s now in May; your birthday is coming up.”

“Don’t remind me.” Stefan sighed. “Yours is too.”

“Shhh, if I don’t acknowledge it, it’s like it never happened.”

“Pfft. Please, come with me. I need you,” Stefan begged.

“The guilt card.”

“Is it working?” Stefan looked hopeful.

“Fine. God, I hate you.”

“I hate you too.”

Joshua went to pick Landon up when his plane arrived from New York. They ran to each other and Joshua hugged him hard.

“I missed you!”

“I missed you, man.” Landon hugged him.

“Hey, little brother,” Colin said.

“Colin!” Landon hugged him. “God, you guys look like the

“Ha ha. Very funny.”

“No, you did.”

“I did?” Colin turned to Joshua.

“Duh, I mean you’re not six foot yet, but you got taller.”

“I’m six foot,” Conner argued.

“Dude!” Landon grabbed him.

Conner took a look at Landon. “Wow, you got taller and bigger too.”

They all laughed and jumped in the Jeep. Joshua gave Landon a briefing on everything that had been going on since they saw him at Christmas. Joshua had the fun task of telling him that Katiana was dating Joe Weiss.

“What? Seriously? He is such an ass!”

“Well, I guess he finally charmed his way in.” Joshua sighed.

“Oh, this is so not going to go over well with Nik.” Landon shook his head.

“Nope, it sure isn’t,” Colin agreed.

“You’re dating who?” Nikolai gaped at Katiana in shock.

“Joe Weiss.”

“Oh, hell no.” Nikolai shook his head.

“Thank you!” Dante threw his hands in the air.

“That guy is the biggest bully, Kat.”

“He’s been nothing but nice to me.” Katiana walked into the kitchen.

“Nikolai?”

“I know. I don’t like it either, Uncle Dante.”

Colin slept over at Nikolai’s house the first night. They wrapped up in a blanket, pressed together.

“God, I missed this.” Nikolai pulled Colin closer.

“Me too. I missed you so much.”

The urge to kiss Colin hit him hard and he looked away, staring at the TV. They watched the movie and then both of them stretched out. Nikolai wrapped Colin in his arms. “You got tall.”

“So did you.”

God, but Nik was gorgeous. He just got better and better looking every time he saw him. “Nik?”

“Yes.”

“Have you…dated in Russia?”

“No. Went out for pizza a few times with Sebastian and some friends. I mean the ones who aren’t scared to death of my dads.” Nikolai chuckled. “Why? Have you?”

“No. Kind of like you, just hang out with friends and stuff.”

“Good.” Nikolai said it before he even knew it and wanted to kick himself. “I — I just mean you deserve someone who’s going to be good to you.”

“So do you.” Colin looked up at him and couldn’t help but stare at his lips.

“Colin?”

“Yeah?” Colin forced himself to look up into Nik’s eyes.

“Never mind, we should get some sleep.” Nikolai hugged him close.

“Yep, it’s your birthday.” Colin smiled. “What do you want?”

“I already have it.” Nikolai pulled him in.

“Jensen.”

“Ryan.”

“Van.”

“Hunter.”

“Now that the pleasantries are over.” Jensen loaded a clip into his gun. “Ready?”

“Yep.” Hunter winked.

“And, go!” Justin hit the stopwatch.

The loud firing made Brett, Chris, Dylan, and Brandon cover their ears as their sons took out target after target. “Whose bright idea was this?” Dylan shouted.

Justin watched his son hit the bull’s eye time after time and smiled. His son had inherited his marksmanship skills. Roman watched Hunter hit the bull’s eye with pride. His son wanted to go into the family business, much to Brett’s dismay.

“Look at our son, Christophe. He is a natural.” Dimitri smiled at Evan.

All four of the guys were expert marksmen and were now training with their fathers. Dylan and Alex had fought about it and finally Ryan had interceded, saying it was what he wanted to do.

“You have to take another human’s life, Ryan!” Dylan had shouted at him.

“They’re evil people, and it’s me or them, Dad.” Ryan had walked out and Dylan had turned on Alex.

“This is your fault!’

“Yes, it is. He has my DNA. The more you forbid it, the more he will want to do it.”

Dylan had put his face in his hands. Alex took him in his arms and held him. “I’ll teach him everything I know, babe.”

“What if something happens to him, what if he forgets —” Dylan couldn’t finish the sentence.

“Who he is? That could happen while he’s crossing the street, babe. Life is fragile.”

“I love you.” Dylan hugged him.

“I love you.”

Alex smiled at the memory and watched his son run through the obstacle course.

“I’m still not happy.” Chris pouted.

“You cannot stop him. This, this is what he wants.” Dimitri pulled Chris to him. “He is very gifted.”

“They all are.” Justin smiled.

The boys ran back and stood in front of their fathers.

“That’s it?” Jensen didn’t even appear to be winded.

Roman laughed loud. “Oh, hell no, sweetie. This day is just starting.” Roman whistled and Lorenzo and Jay came out with the rest of the guys. “Now, they hunt you.”

“What?” Hunter looked at his dad.

“You have a half hour, then we come for you.” Lorenzo smiled wide.

“Oh, shit,” Ryan whispered.

“I suggest you go ahead and leave,” Mason advised.

Jay and Greg smiled as they watched Landon and Joshua pull up with the remaining boys. Once they got out of the cars and were closer, Landon asked, “Okay, we’re here. What’s first?”

“Get suited up.” Jay told them.

“You’ll be at the firing range first,” Vince stated.

“Then what?” Colin asked.

“Then we have fun,” James said.

“I don’t like the way he said that.” Conner was staring at Leo and Theo.

“Me either.” Nikolai arched a brow.

By the end of the day the boys were exhausted and almost asleep standing up. Vince threw a bucket of water on them and they all straightened up. “Time to go home.”

“Oh, thank God.” Colin leaned back on Nikolai.

Vince smiled as his son and Colin dragged themselves into the house. They both went to the bathroom and Colin took his shirt off.

“Shit. You have bruises.” Nik ran his fingertips over them.

“I’ll live.” Colin felt his skin break out in goosebumps from Nikolai’s touch.

Nikolai smiled watching Colin trying to get out of his uniform; he put his arm around him and held him up. “Let me help you.”

“You going to shower with me too?” Colin snickered.

“Yes, I am.” Nikolai took his shirt off.

“What?”

“Chill, I’m leaving my boxers on.” Nikolai helped Colin out of his pants.

They both got in the shower and Nikolai turned the water on. He soaped up his hands and rubbed Colin’s shoulders.

“Oh, God, that feels soooo good.” Colin rested his forehead against the shower wall, he had an instant hard-on from Nik touching him. “Shit.”

“What’s wrong?” Nikolai bent over him.

“Just sore. I don’t think I can lift my arms.”

“I got it.” Nikolai bent Colin’s head back and massaged the shampoo into his hair; he was so hard it hurt. Being this close to Colin was torture.

“Oh, my God. You’re so good at that,” Colin whispered.

“Lean your head back so I can rinse.”

Colin leaned against him and Nikolai ran his fingers through his hair. Colin let out a loud sigh and closed his eyes.

“Are you okay?” Nikolai turned him around.

“I’m so tired.” Colin looked into his eyes.

Nikolai couldn’t help himself; he caressed Colin’s cheek, wiping the soap off. They were looking at each other and Colin sensed Nikolai wanted to kiss him. The water suddenly turned cold, shocking them both. Nikolai turned it off and handed Colin a towel.

“I’ll get out first so you can get out of your wet boxers.”

Colin watched him leave and dropped back against the shower wall. “Holy hell.”

Andrei glared at Vince. “Must you be a child?”

“What? I had to pee.” Vince chuckled.

“You knew they were in the shower and yet you flushed the toilet?”

“Aw honey, I have to find some way of amusing myself.” Vince jumped on the bed and straddled Andrei.

“I can amuse you.” Andrei pulled him down.

Vince brushed his lips softly over Andrei’s and smiled when he heard a small whimper. “I can still get to you.”

“You always will.” Andrei pulled him down.

Vince held onto the mattress as his husband pounded him into the bed. Jesus, Andrei was downright feisty tonight. His fingers were digging into his hips, then the next thing he knew Andrei gripped his dick, stroking him.

“Fuck, Andrei!” Vince’s fingers were gripping the headboard now and any minute his head would hit it. There was a reason they had stayed married for so long — they both enjoyed angry, nasty, bang your head on the damn headboard sex.

“I want to hear you,” Andrei growled.

Vince let out a loud moan as Andrei smacked his ass hard. The fingers were bruising his hips again and then the pounding became slamming. Andrei let out a loud cry and his body shuddered. Vince’s dick hardened in his hand and he pulled out, slid under his husband, and took him in his mouth.

“Oh, fuck!” Vince grabbed the headboard hard and his hips jerked, sending his dick down Andrei’s throat. He came hard with a loud, guttural moan and Andrei stroked the base, coaxing more into his mouth. His tongue slid around to make sure he had gotten it all. He kissed and licked the tip of the now-sensitive head and rolled out from underneath him.

“I feel better now.”

“Holy hell, babe.”

Jensen and Hunter had fallen asleep in the car and Brett hated to wake them up when they got home. Roman, on the other hand — “Get up! On your feet!’

Jensen sat straight up and looked around. “Are we there yet?’

“Yes.” Brett smacked Roman. “Come on, boys.”

The boys went to take a shower while Brett made them dinner. Roman came around the counter and squeezed his ass. “God, you are sexy when you cook. Is that moose?” Roman looked into the pot.

“Yep, Frank sent it to us.”

“We need to go visit him. It’s also the perfect opportunity to train the boys in cold weather.”

“You’re loving this aren’t you?” Brett asked.

“Yep.” Roman smiled wide.

Hunter hurt everywhere. There wasn’t one area that hurt more than the rest. It even hurt to breathe.

“Hunter?”

“Yeah?”

“You about done in there?” Jensen smiled.

“Yeah.” Hunter turned the water off, pulled the curtain back and grabbed a towel.

Jensen almost fell over. The door hadn’t been shut all the way and he had a perfect view of Hunter in all his glory. Holy shit. It was one thing to see him shirtless; it was a whole different story seeing him stark-ass naked — and he was hung very well. Jensen chuckled and turned around.

“What’s up?” Hunter came out with the towel wrapped around his hips.

“Dinner.” Jensen almost drooled.

“You okay?” Hunter eyed him, he looked flushed.

“Uh huh.” Jensen turned around.

Hunter watched his ass as he walked away. Damn he had a nice tight one.

Roman smiled as the boys tried to eat. Jensen was holding his head up and Hunter looked as if he was already asleep. He shook Jensen lightly. “Go to bed.”

Brett and Roman helped put the boys in bed and smiled. Jensen rolled right into Hunter, and Hunter put his arms around him.

“ ʼNight boys.”

The next morning, Evan groaned as he tried to get out of bed. Ryan was still asleep and Evan shuffled into the kitchen and sat down.

“Still want to do this, huh?” Chris smiled at his son.

“Breathing hurts.” Evan put his head on the table. “Where’s Dad?”

“Running.” Chris put a plate of near Evan.

“How does he do that?” Evan shoveled a bite into his mouth.

“He and your Uncle Roman, as well as the rest of them, have been at this for years. I was so scared in the beginning that your dad wouldn’t come back from a mission but I’ve seen him in action and I know he’s a professional.”

“Did it ever bother you that he’s killed people?”

“He asked me that once.” Chris smiled thinking back to that day in the pool with Dimitri; it was the day he had told Dimitri he didn’t care that he had killed people, which had led to touching and the kissing.

“You have that look on your face, Dad.”

“What look?”

“The one when you’re remembering something sexual.” Evan cocked an eyebrow.

“Not that day.”

“Oh, God.” Evan banged his head on the table.

“No, it never bothered me. They kill people who need killing. I love your dad very much.”

“Really? I didn’t get that.”

Ryan came out looking just like Evan. He sat at the table in a daze. “What time is it?”

“Almost nine.” Chris told him.

“How long were we out?” Ryan asked.

“ ʼBout twelve hours.” Chris smiled.

“What?”

“Let’s see, you went to bed around eight thirty. So a little over twelve, actually.”

Dimitri came in shirtless and Chris hung onto the counter staring at him. Dimitri walked over and kissed him. “Good morning, Christophe.”

“Yes, it is.” Chris agreed, running his hands up Dimitri’s chest.

“Okay, eww.” Evan laughed at his parents.

“You two, get dressed. We are going on an adventure.” Dimitri pointed at the boys.

“Oh no.” Ryan sighed.
