Chapter Nineteen
Greer
“Are you sure this time? Because last Monday, you told me this Thursday.” I pointed my words at the contractor who seemed always to need more and more time.
“I’m sure this time. I apologize for the delay. We had some things come up.”
“Sure, sure. But just know that I’m holding the final payment until the work is done.”
He nodded and walked down the stairs. I’d been staying at Tenn’s tiny apartment for going on six weeks now. And I loved living with him, learning his everyday quirks and habits, and simply being with him when I came home from work was wonderful. But I missed my space and my house and my things.
Tenn had been more than gracious to let me stay as long as he had.
I glanced at my watch and realized how late I was.
“Crap!” I fumbled with getting my shoes on and scoffed at the mere thought of breakfast, dry gagging a little in the process.
“Love, you are the owner, you know that, right?” Tenn glanced up at me from his scrambled eggs. I looked away instantly. I used to love eggs.
“I know. But that huge truck is coming to load up the orders for the supermarket that picked up our products. It’s the first giant order. I need to be there. I want to be there.”
He nodded and stabbed at the baby chickens again. I had to get out of there. “You’re off today. Wanna have lunch?”
He got up and wrapped his arms around me. “You know I do. I’ve got some errands to run as well. How about I text you when I’m done. I want my omega fed. Oh, love, you smell delectable this morning.”
He nuzzled my neck and sucked on my earlobe. “Maybe something else for breakfast?” Tenn rocked his hips against mine and showed me just how much he intended to give me.
“I’m going to be late,” I whispered to him, being unconvincing on purpose.
He reached to untuck my shirt, and I moaned his name as he did. Our appetites for each other were insatiable.
And just as I got my hands on the band of his boxers, my phone rang.
“Ignore it,” he joked and then reached into my back pocket to fish out my phone. “Just kidding. Go ahead.”
I answered it while Tenn finished undressing and lay on the bed. I could barely speak to Jarmin as he said he was at Just one Lick and the truck was there. He said something about them wanting more FiDough, our biggest selling cookie dough pup cream, but he couldn’t find it.
“I’ll be there soon,” I said to him before hanging up.
By the time I got off the phone, Tenn had his head tilted back, legs hanging off the side of the bed and wide open, stroking himself fast while leaning back on the other arm. “Oh, Greer, don’t make me wait too much longer, love.” He moved his hand to cup his sac and tug at it while his dick bounced, begging for attention.
I got on my knees at the side of the bed and pulled him forward, taking him into my mouth all at once. I grabbed his ass with both hands and used the leverage to take him deeper. He leaned back on both elbows now, and as I looked up, he watched me, eyes only half-open.
I pulled off him with a pop and asked the question I’d been too worried about asking before.

“Yes, omega. Touch me anywhere you want. In fact, if you wanted to top me, I’d be willing to let you do that as well. Anything you want.”
Anything I wanted. So damned tempting. And one day, I would take him up on that.

I wrapped my mouth around him and gently slid two fingers into his entrance. He sat up a little and used his leverage to make my fingers go deeper while I sucked his cock until the head hit the back of my throat.

“I have to get to work, and you have things to do, too.”

“What?” I asked, almost breathless.
“I love you. I’m in love with you. I’m actually sad about you having your house done. It’s going to be lonely here without you. I wanted you to know that.”
A tear flowed down my face. “I love you, Tenn. I have for a while, I just didn’t…”
“Didn’t know how to say it?” He laughed and gave me a quick peck.
“That. Anyway, I was thinking it would be a good time for you to move in with me.” My stomach clenched in a bundle of nerves and my heart beat overtime.
“Do you want that?” he asked, staring deeply into my eyes.
“I want you in the night and in the morning and sitting at my kitchen table and on my sofa. I want you around all the time. That’s all I know. If you don’t want to, it’s okay. I probably shouldn’t…”
He put his finger to my lips and shushed me. “I’d love to live with you, Greer.”
Well that shut down every nervous bit of me.
“Okay. Now I really have to go.”
I went to the bathroom to wash up and then ran out of the apartment. In only one hour, the truck had not only picked up their order, but doubled it, taking most of our inventory.
I needed more freezer space. I needed another recipe tester. I needed more hands in the kitchen. We needed more work space.
I bent down and put my hands on my knees, all of a sudden overwhelmed with the expanse of things to be done.
“Greer, you okay? You look…”
That was the last thing I heard. The edges of my vision blackened, and a sick feeling washed over my body. Then the room went sideways.
