Pregnant By My Boss: A Bad Boy Secret Baby Romance Compilation by Cassandra Dee, Kendall Blake (25)

Epilogue

Jax

A year later…

I scratch the scruff on my face as I sit in my third meeting of the day. I didn’t get a chance to shave this morning, and the stubble is starting to itch. Jenna’s orgasm with my head between her thighs makes it all worth it, though. She loves the friction against her skin, and I love the moans it elicits.

I usually stay clean cut for business purposes, but on the weekends, I keep my face stubbly for Jenna’s benefit.

Throughout all of my meetings, my mind drifts to Jenna. She and Cory make my life so much happier and fuller. Hell, they are my life. Being a billionaire with no one to spoil is like being a chef with no one to cook for.

And it makes me incredibly happy to know that Jenna and Cory never have to worry about dealing with Martin and Irene Jones again. It took Jenna two months to decide that she did want to confront her father about the lies he had told that had kept the two of us apart for seven years and had caused me to miss the first seven years of my son’s life. But confront him we did.

After threatening to go public with the abuse Jenna had suffered and to press false imprisonment charges on him—both of which would run his political career—Martin had decided to severe ties with Jenna for good. I was happy about that, but I had really hoped to be given a reason to punch that asshole one and for all as payment for what he’d put Jenna through. Ultimately, though, I was just glad Jenna could live her new life with me in peace.

After my last meeting of the day, I head back to my office. Joan smiles at me knowingly.

“I have scheduled a car to pick up Jenna at seven. Marcus will be here any minute with your suit.”

“Thank you, Joan. Did you pick it up?”

“I’ve been guarding it with my life,” she says, reaching into her blazer pocket and handing me a ring box.

I open the box and smile.

“Do you think Jenna will like it?”

“She’ll love it. She is a lucky girl, Jax.” Joan squeezes my arm and kisses my cheek.

“I’m the lucky one.”

I thank Joan again before heading into my office. Once my personal assistant arrives with my suit, I freshen up in the office bathroom.

The car is waiting for me when I step out of the building. The spring air is cool with a slight breeze—perfect weather for our date. I arrive at the restaurant a few minutes early. I tip the driver heavily before exiting the car. I don’t wait long for Jenna’s car to pull up, but it feels like an eternity. My mind, body, and heart crave her presence.

I tip the driver as he gets out to open Jenna’s door, and I relieve him of his duty. I see Jenna’s legs before anything else. Her red dress hugs her curves so deliciously. The material splits at her right thigh, exposing her entire leg. The halter top hugs her breasts so snugly without revealing any flesh, making them look like they want to break free. Or maybe I just want to release her breasts so that I can have my way with them.

Jenna’s hair is in some sort of a braid, pulling her hair away from her beautiful face. Her big brown eyes are made up, but not overdone, and her full lips have a hint of color that I want to smear away with a kiss.

I offer Jenna my hand, and she accepts it. I kiss her knuckles as she runs her free hand through my hair.

“Have I ever told you how sexy you look in a suit?” she asks.

I laugh. “Only every day. You also tell me that I look sexy in that awful onesie Cory got me for Christmas.”

She laughs. “We had fun with it. The easy access was nice.”

Jenna presses herself against me and kisses my lips. I remind myself that we’re in public and pull away as soon as I feel my pants getting tight.

“Later,” I warn. “I hate your dress, by the way.”

Jenna looks down at herself and back up at me with a hurt expression.

“You’re lucky I don’t rip it off of you.” I grab her ass.

Her eyebrows unfurrow, and she rolls her eyes.

“I wore this for you.”

“And you look stunning,” I tell her. “But if anyone stares at you, I will lose it.”

She pats my chest and smirks.

“Two can play at this game.”

“What do you mean?”

She grabs a handful of my ass, taking me by surprise. A couple walking by scoff at our inappropriateness.

“You’re always wearing tight pants. You don’t think women look at your ass or your cock?” she asks.

Her tongue hits the roof of her mouth as she says “cock.” I groan as my dick jumps.

“Let’s get inside before we both lose it,” I offer, afraid we’ll never eat dinner if we keep it up.

As soon as we walk in, the maître d’ recognizes me.

“Mr. Morrison, so good to have you back. Your table is waiting.”

He escorts us to the roof, which is reserved for private parties. As soon as we walk in, an orchestra starts playing. A waiter appears, handing us two glasses of champagne. Jenna looks at our surroundings and then at me.

“We’re the only ones up here?”

“I didn’t know how big of an audience you wanted.”

She has a confused look on her face.

“An audience for what?”

I ignore her question, realizing I almost gave away the surprise.

“Happy Anniversary.” I clank my glass against hers.

We both take a sip of champagne.

“Mm, that’s really good,” she says.

“It’s Dom Perignon,” I laugh, remembering her teasing me about that.

Jenna laughs too.

“It sure does beat Bourbon.”

I shrug before smirking. “I don’t know. Bourbon goes down pretty smoothly when I’m sucking it off of your skin.”

Goosebumps form on Jenna’s arms at the memory of our vacation to the South of France. We walk over to the table, and the waiter pulls out Jenna’s chair for her. He lingers a little too long at her exposed thigh. I shoot him a glare. His embarrassment shows on his face as he steps away. He just bumped his tip down by five percent.

“How did Cory do on his science test?” I ask, taking a sip of champagne.

“He aced it,” Jenna grins proudly.

“You’re a great teacher, Jen.”

She blushes. “He’s smart like his daddy.”

Her Southern drawl comes through. It has diminished a little over the past year, but I can still hear it on certain words.

“Cory is smart like his Mama.”

I drop the New York accent I’ve taken on over the years and give into my original twang. Jenna smiles and laughs. We had originally planned to send Cory to a regular school but had decided he needed to adjust slowly to a new lifestyle.

New York is a lot to handle for a kid who was practically a shut-in. Cory has never interacted with other kids before. Instead, Jenna continues to home school him. She socializes him with play dates, sports teams, and other group activities. He is adjusting so well that next year, he should fit right in with a school environment.

The waiter comes over to take our order. He keeps his eyes to himself, now barely looking at either of us.

Jenna chuckles and shakes her head, realizing the waiter is afraid of me.

“Do you have to intimidate everyone?” she asks after he steps away.

“I didn’t do anything,” I shrug innocently.

“Right. Don’t think I didn’t see that dirty look you gave him.”

“Do you want to dance?”

She nods, and I lead her out to an open space. There is a cool mist hitting us from the fountain on the roof. I place my hands on her hips, and she links her fingers around my neck.

“This past year has been perfect.”

“It has been,” she agrees.

“Now that things have settled down at work, I really think we should focus on the future.”

She looks up at me. The brown in her eyes almost looks golden tonight.

“I’ve been thinking about the future myself,” she swallows.

Her fingers fidget behind my neck. Is she nervous? That is my job tonight.

“Everything okay?” I ask her.

She nods, but I’m not totally convinced. I stop dancing and take her left hand in mine.

“I love you, Jen. Will you be my wife?” I blurt out impatiently.

Jenna’s mouth drops. I reach into my pocket and pull out the ring box. I flip the box open and hold the diamond out to her. Her hand shakes in mine when I take it again.

“Um, this is where you say something,” I laugh.

She must have gone into shock.

“I love you, Jax,” she finally blurts out.

She jumps into my arms, not giving me a chance to put the ring on her finger. She kisses me, long and slow. With the ring in my hand, I wrap my arms around her and almost forget about the proposal all together.

“Wait, that wasn’t an answer,” I argue as soon as she lets me breathe.

Jenna laughs. “Well, that wasn’t a no.”

“But it wasn’t a yes. I need to hear you say you’ll be mine forever.”

“So primitive,” she taunts me.

I grab ahold of her arms and twist them behind her back playfully. Her chest juts toward me, and it takes tremendous will power on my part not to touch her.

“You fucking love every second of it,” I whisper in her ear. “…Knowing you’re mine. Admit it.”

I suck on her earlobe, and Jenna lets out the tiniest of moans.

“You own me,” she smirks.

I let go of her arms and wink. She holds her hand out and wiggles her fingers toward me.

“Yes, I will marry you, Jax Morrison.”

I slide the ring on her finger and the band applauds, reminding me once more that we’re in public. Fuck it, I kiss her like we’re the only two people here.

I can’t wait to get her alone and show her what being married to me is going to be like.
