Chapter 9

 

Lexi looks around her apartment. Everything is squeaky clean and the unit looks like no one has been living in the place. By the door is a large carton box with all her things – mostly clothes. Lexi has always been a minimalist instead of a hoarder. Growing up and living on a shoestring budget, she’s learned only to buy the bare essentials to save on expenses.

 

She grasps the handle of her carry-on suitcase where her personal laptop and a few other knick-knacks are. He lets out another heavy breath before he continues.
