The Alpha's Foxy Omega: A Haven MM Mpreg Shifter Romance (Couples of Haven Book 2) by Lorelei M. Hart (9)

Chapter Nine

Felix

We finished the main meal, and I made Locus stop as he reached for his third piece of pie. “Slow down, love. There’s always food here for you. No more binging. It’s bad for your stomach.”

He nodded again and sat back in his chair. It pained me to say no to him. My alpha animal wanted to feed him anything and everything he desired so he would gain weight, leaving his lankiness behind. But the vet part of me knew better. Far better he gain weight at a snail’s pace, with healthy foods nourishing him while he put on the pounds.

“I always have a cup of tea after dinner. Would you like one?” I asked, scooting away from the table.

“No, and I’ve got those,” he said, jumping up to help gather the dishes. “I don’t drink tea—that I remember, at least. Maybe there’s coffee?”

I nodded. I would make it weak for him. Too much caffeine in his state might cause him to be up until next week.

“You like coffee, then?”

He chuckled, and my heart swirled with gratitude. I didn’t know how much I wanted to know my omega’s laugh until I heard it for myself.

“You’d never catch me crying when coffee and I are in the same room. That’s what I’m saying.”

I put down the dishes and laughed, long and deep.

He looked at me like I’d grown a third ear. “Was that funny? I think I’m funny. Am I funny?”

That made me laugh even harder until my stomach was clenched and my dinner threatened to come back up. “Omega mine, you’re going to be a fun partner. I can already tell.”

He shrugged and continued to pick up dishes. Our hands and arms brushed while we wiped down the table.

The energy and lust between us made the air around us thicker, so thick it was hard to breathe.

But I didn’t want to rush him. All those years in animal form were tough on him, of that I was sure. Even though his comments made me know he was ready, I couldn’t help but not want to push my luck. I’d found my omega, finally. He was mine now, forever.

I put on the electric kettle after filling it with water. I felt my omega’s eyes on me as I walked around the kitchen, grabbing the coffee, light roast, and putting a few scoops into the French press. For me, I pulled out a drawer filled to the brim with all varieties of tea, organized by flavor, each having its own little cubby.

“Milk? Cream? Sugar?”

“Um, probably some sugar and a little milk. I forget.” His eyebrows bunched.

“That’s okay. You and I will discover everything together.”

Picking out a lemon-cake tea, I put the bag in a cup and waited for the water to heat. I turned to lean against the counter, arms crossed over my chest, and tried like hell not to march over to where he sat on a barstool at the counter, throw him over my shoulder, and take him directly to the nearest bed—or couch—or carpet.

“You’re too far away,” Locus said just as the kettle wailed, letting me know it was ready.

“I’m coming back to you. Don’t worry. You’ll never be alone again.”

I must’ve taken too long because while I dipped my tea bag into the hot water, two arms circled my waist. Locus’ head rested between my shoulder blades.

“Thank you, alpha. You saved me. But now I’m afraid you’re stuck with me.” His voice grew very quiet. “I don’t actually have anywhere else to go.”

I whirled around and pulled him to me, enveloping him in all the love and safety I wanted him to know. “I’m gladly stuck with you. Lay your head on my chest.” He did as I asked and placed his ear next to my heart. “You hear that? It only beats for you, now.” We stayed like that for a few minutes until I kissed his temple and suggested we move to the living room. We sat on the couch next to each other, our thighs touching. I left his side just long enough to bring out coffee and tea and put on some soft music, not wanting to overwhelm his renewed human senses.

He took a sip from his cup. “This is really good. And I’m stuffed. Thanks for stopping me.” He laid his head on my shoulder, and I turned and raised my arm so he could lie on my chest again.

“You’re welcome. We’ve got to get you clothes and some other things. But that can come later.”

“Like what?” he asked.

“Oh, I don’t know. A toothbrush. Hairbrush. Things humans need.”

He jerked back. “It’s been like eight years since I brushed my teeth. Gross.”

I laughed. “It’s fine. Patty scrubbed them while you were foxy. You’re good.”

He bit down on his bottom lip. “You think I’m foxy?”

I barely quelled a smile. “I do. A foxy fox and a foxy human—my foxy human.”

His irises darkened. “I want you to mate me. Now.”

I nearly spit out my tea. “Are you sure? You’ve been through so much.”

My omega, so strong and lean, squared off his broad shoulders. “I’m not fragile, alpha.”

I ran my hand across his cheek gently. He turned and placed a kiss on my palm and then pressed his face more firmly into my hand. “I know you’re not, Locus. I know that. You’re probably the strongest omega I’ve seen.”

“Then what? I’m not enough?” A tear came to his eye, and I couldn’t take him feeling that way.

I stroked the back of his neck. “You are so much more than enough. I’m the one who should be thanking you. Come here. Sit on my lap.”

To my surprise, he pulled off his shirt before straddling me. He took my cup from my hand and placed it on the sofa table behind us. “Take this off, alpha. I need to feel your skin.” His fingers pulled at the hem of my shirt, and I nodded and lifted my arms, allowing him to take it off me.

With him on top of me, my doc, my body pulsed and my throat went dry with need for him. “Kiss me, omega. I’ve been dying to feel your lips.” He leaned down and took his time reaching my mouth. Softly, he kissed me, chaste and innocent. No, that wouldn’t do at all. I grabbed the back of his head, threading my fingers through his hair and pressed my lips against his, coaxing him to open. When he did, I filled his mouth with my tongue as he moaned and bucked his narrow hips against mine. His thick, hard erection pulsed against my stomach, and I moved down to his neck, nibbling and sucking his skin, loving the taste of him. Roaming downward, I took his left nipple into my mouth and sucked hard, instinctively knowing he would love the sensation while my hand played at the other nipple.

He undid my shorts, unzipping them and freeing my cock with one movement. I looked to his face and saw him licking his lips.

“You don’t have to. We are in no hurry.”

He smiled, and I almost melted. “You keep saying that.”

Locus got down onto his knees in front of me and pulled my pants down to my ankles then stripped me of them, throwing them across the living room. Seeing him like that made me desperate for anything he was willing to give me.

“Either take me into your sweet mouth or bend over this couch, omega. You’re killing me.”

He laughed. “Finally, you’re catching up.”

Seconds later, the length of me was fully in his mouth. My tip bobbed against his tonsils as he pumped his mouth up and down my shaft in a torturous pace. One hand tugged at my sac while his other mimicked my previous actions, pinching and pulling my nipples one by one. I combed my fingers into his hair and drove myself deeper into his throat.

“Yes, Locus. Don’t stop. I’m going to come,” I cried out, and just as the words left my mouth, my passion concentrated in my groin and hurled me into an orgasm that left my ears ringing and my chest heaving with breathlessness.

“You’re gorgeous when you come, Felix,” he said, wiping his mouth and getting back onto the couch.

“Oh, we’re just getting started.” I got up and lifted my omega into my arms, intending to get him into my bed and onto his knees before he would say another word.

I took the first step and my cell rang, the emergency ringtone.

Fuck it all.
