The Devils Fighter (The Devils Soldiers mc) by Cilla Lee (30)

Scythe

I spend the day back at work now that the Oregon Chapter had gone home the place has gotten back to normal, everyone was back to their lives, but at least we’d have some good stories to tell until the annual run to Sturgis and probably the next time I’d see Widow. As I pound away on the bag, I felt someone come up behind me, and I turn ready to strike, but stop the second I see Niya “Hey darlin’ what can I do for ya?” I ask her.

“Heard Widow left today! How are you?” she asks.

“I'm fine,” but she looks at me skeptically.

“Your fine,” she asks me, and I nod.

“Yeah, darlin’ I'm good.”

“The fights were really great, weren’t they” I smile, havin’ all the Brothers here, was great

“It was great more than I hoped for.”

“Are you sorry you lost to Widow.”

“No! Why should I be?”

“I don't know because she's a woman” I blanch at her comment.

“Don't let her hear you say that.”

“Why?” she says, and I point to my two black eyes and swollen nose.

“Did Widow do that?”

“Yep”

“Why?”

“Because I called her a woman, ” she laughs at me and I frown at her

“What's so funny.”

“Did you say it like 'you’re a woman' or 'because you’re a women'” I think about my exact words (shit) Niya laughs

“You said the latter didn't you” I nod.

“Man, you've really messed up,” she says smiling.

“FUCK!” I yell and hit the bag “tell me how to fix it.”

“Did you see her after it happened” I nod “did she yell at you.”

“No”

“Then she's probably on her way to forgiving you already.”

“Um”

“What else did you do?”

“I was still pissed,” I tell her.

“Scythe”

“I may have rubbed Bliss in her face and taken her back to my room.”

“Scythe! Why?”

“Cause I'm a fuckin’ idiot,” I tell her lookin’ around to make sure no one else is listenin’ to our conversation.

“You are! What did she say before she left?”

“She wanted to know if I fucked Bliss.”

“Did you?”

“No”

“No!” she gives me the ‘sure you didn’t’ look all women have

“Well, she sucked me off, but that's it, I didn't fuck her” Niya throws her hands up.

“You men are so fucking dumb” I step back the shocked look on my face.

“What?”

“You swore” she rolls her eyes at me.

“Scythe just give it time, Widow will come around eventually.”

“That's it, that's your sage advice.”

“Yes, women need time to think things through, just don't fuck any of the whores in the meantime, if she's the one then save it just for her” I smile.

“What?”

“You’re the second person to tell me that”

“Then it must be good advice.”

“Yeah, it must be,” I say as she punches me in the stomach.

“Asshole,” she says, and I laugh louder.

“Three swear words in one day that must be a record” I yell out to her, and she gives me the finger, and I laugh louder, getting back to punchin’ the bag that I'm imagining is Magic.

Widow Maker

As I sit in the chair in the room the two fucks who stole the Kings money are in Doc stitches me up, dad watching me the whole time as Doc sews my skin back together. “Do ya think it's gonna scar?” I ask him as I watch the needle pierce my skin over and over.

“Just a small one, you won't even notice it.”

“Good, gotta look good for summer,” I tell Doc, but he looks at me smiling but shakes his head at me.

“You’re the only one who can make a joke out of being shot or stabbed.”

“What else do you want me to do cry like a little bitch? I'm not Hawk Doc!” I look over to Hawk, who's standing next to Preacher, and he gives me the finger. I pretend to be shocked dad growls at me (that's all men seem to do these days is growl at me) I smile as Doc puts the bandage over my wound, I move my arm, but there’s a sharp pain, and I hiss through my teeth

“Your jaws not broken and your neck will look worse tomorrow, but nothings damaged.”

“I need to put your arm in a sling.”

“How am I gonna ride my bike?”

“You can't.”

“Doc!”

“No, Doctor's orders, you'll ride back to Coral City in the van, and one of the Prospects will ride your bike.”

“Doc Brother dude please.”

“No!” he says, and I sit back sort of glad because my arm is killing me, my head busting and my throat a little raw. I turn as Preacher, and all the others stare down the two sitting on the bed the Jake guy with a bloody nose

“So! Where's the money?” Preacher asks, looking at the kid, but he doesn’t say anything, Magic punches the guy again, and the girl screams, “I said where's the money, the Five-Mill you stole from the Kings” the kid still says nothing.

“Boss we gotta move,” Boogie says

“Neo” Preacher says, and I look to Neo who has the guy's laptop open, and he's typing away fast.

“It's gonna take time boss.”

“Then we move, take them in the van gag 'em so they can't talk, Cheshire you take Widow's bike did you load up the others.”

“Yeah, boss checked them too no trackers.”

“Good, let’s get movin’ before Stoney misses his boys” It takes a while to get back to get back to Coral City the girl cried most of the time leaning on the guy's shoulder, I watch Cheshire ride my bike in front of us, and I kick the dash.

“Wow Widow! Don't kick my girl like that” Rex says, and I look at him.

“It's a van Rex don't be a dick.”

“It's more than a van Widow; this machine is support for the guys. It's transport for the wounded and hostages, and other stuff. She's loaded with guns and ammo for the guys if they need it, she works hard, and I treat her good puttin’ the expensive fuel in her checkin’ her engine rotating her tires makin’ sure she's in tip-top shape for when the guys need her. I roll my eyes at him.

“Rex you’re an idiot,” I tell him, and he laughs as my stomach rumbles.

“Hungry?” he asks me.

“Yeah,” he flips the seat in the middle of us up, and there's a mini fridge with drinks and a small box full of snacks I look at his smiling dumb face.

“You’re the one we should be calling Cheshire,” I tell him and he laughs as I reach for a coke and a bag of chips. As we pull into the compound I notice Razor Nash Preacher and dad talking, Rex pulls up to them, and I get out.

“Thanks, Rex,” I say, and he looks at me smiling again.

“No prob Widow” I look at the two in the back the girl has tears running down her cheeks, and the guy's nose is still bleeding their arms and feet tied, I look at the Jake guy.

“Just tell them what they want to know, and you'll be out of here, don't make this harder than it has to be.” I step back and make my way inside, I look around but Scythe's nowhere to be seen but Niya Lilly Tink and their men are all here. Niya comes over when she sees my shirt all bloody, and my face and neck all bruised

“Oh my god Widow! Are you ok?” she asked concern on her face, I smile but hide the pain.

“All good,” I tell her, my voice a little raspy.

“What happened?” Colt asks

“Nothing much, couple of stab wounds they'll heal in no time,” I tell him

“You were stabbed,” Lilly asks shocked.

“Yeah, but it's all good Doc said I'll be bikini ready for summer,” I say, trying to lighten the mood, but they all frown at me.

“Are you sure you’re ok?” Niya asks, and I look at all the women smiling, a nice warm feeling making me heat up (I think the pain pills are kicking in)

“I'm good,” I say as Niya pats my arm, “I promise” I look at Tink with her huge belly and a tear in her eye “I'm fine,” I tell them and they all nod.

“Are you hungry” my stomach growls, and they smile.

“Just a little bit,” I tell them.

“Come on,” Niya says, and I follow all the women into the kitchen where Maggie is feeding little Logan.

“Sit,” Lilly says as Niya and Tink sit on the other side of the table to me Maggie staring at me.

“He, look as bad as you,” she asks me.

“Not anymore,” I tell her, and she nods.

“Good” the women all fuss over me making me food and helping me cut the meat, it's three of my mother’s all fussing and I smile, I like these women.

“What happened?” they ask and I know I'm going to say those two words that piss every woman off.

“Club...”

“Business,” all four of them say, and I smile.

“Yeah”

“What's it like being one of the guys,” Tink asks me, and I look at her for a little thing I can definitely see a little rebel in her

“It's all shits and giggles until someone gets stabbed,” I say, and they all look at each other not sure if they should laugh or cry luckily, they all laugh.
