The Draglen Brothers Domlen (BK 6 ) by Solease M Barner (5)

DOMLEN

I’d planned to cook two steaks but I was so angry after Tempest’s tantrum, I only grilled one and it was for me. Was it cruel to eat in front of her? Maybe, but she brought it on herself. Although I must say, she was a sight to behold. I’ve never seen such fire and strength in a woman. When she shredded her clothes to shift into her wolf, I received a quick glimpse of her assets but once she finally changed back to her human form, I was able to take a good long look… and her body is sweet and utter perfection.

But not for me.

I should never have touched Tempest but her disrespect had to be dealt with. I would have killed anyone else for much less. I let her off easy with a few light love taps on her luscious afla. Maybe I did go a little too far, but I couldn’t stop myself. Her scent is always intoxicating but when she’s aroused, it’s like a drug. Although she would deny it, I know she was aroused. I could barely restrain my beast. And seeing her unravel with my fingers buried in her pussy, well, it was a thing of pure beauty.

Despite her objections, I am going to feed her and she will eat, but I need to prepare something quick so I can take her home. I don’t trust myself around her. I need to get her out of here, preferably before I give in to temptation and take her virginity.

I open the refrigerator and take out the ingredients to make a quiche. I hurriedly throw everything together and place it in the oven. I smell her before I see her, but I know she’s here.

I turn around and heaven help me… She’s wearing one of Tika’s gowns. Yeah, I know I said earlier she was nothing extraordinary, but I was so wrong. Without a doubt, Tempest is the most exquisite creature I’ve ever seen in my life. She looks regal, like a queen. I can’t take my eyes off her.

“What the heck is this thing, Domlen? Do none of the women you screw wear actual clothes, just this gown thingy?” she asks, flouncing into the kitchen and taking a seat at the bar.

“You look beautiful, Tempest,” I say simply.

Color rushes to her cheeks as she drops her gaze, but just when I think she can take a compliment gracefully, she opens her mouth and lets it fly.

“Beautiful? To you? Naw, I don’t think so, buster. I know I’m not beautiful and your compliments won’t work on me. You just tethered me to a wall like a dog, whipped my ass, and finger fucked me. Is that what you call being a gentleman? If so, we’ll have to agree to disagree.”

“I’m not sure what a buster is, but I do know I’m not one. And you received exactly what you deserved, Tempest. The pleasure at the end was a little extra gift. You didn’t deserve a reward, not after the way you behaved. Nonetheless, I decided to give you one, because I am a gentleman.”

“You know what, forget I said anything. Just give me the food so I can go home and we’ll call it square, okay? You don’t want to see me and I certainly don’t want to see you. So, no more threats and no more kidnapping. Deal?”

I’m so distracted by the clear outline of her hard nipples showing through the silky fabric of her gown, I can barely comprehend her words. Then like a splash of cold water to the face, I remember she’s a wolf and a virgin. She needs to be with one of her own kind. Let them take her virginity. It can’t be me.

“Right. Once I take you home, I won’t bother you again,” What else is there for me to say?

“Good,” she agrees. She hides it well but I see the pain in her eyes and for some reason, it hurts me as well.

I remove the quiche from the oven, plate it and place it in front of her. She hesitates but slowly picks up her fork and takes a bite. She peers up at me occasionally, eating in silence, but I can tell there’s something she wants to say.

“What is it, Tempest? It’s obvious you want to say something.”

“Well, I do have a question and I’d really appreciate an answer,” she admits.

Okay, Tempest. I won’t guarantee I’ll answer, but fire away.”

“How did you find me, Domlen? I’m not on the internet and I don’t have any social media accounts. I even tried to Google my own name and came up with nothing, so how did you find me, and how were you so sure I was the one your mother saw in her vision? And why even bother to find me? I don’t understand.”

“That’s a lot more than ‘a question’, but I’ll answer what I can.” I walk around the bar and take a seat beside her.

“My brother saw your face in my mother’s vision. It would only confuse you if I tried to explain his ability. But to put it simply, my brother can not only see the future, he can also sometimes see other people’s visions and thoughts. He’s very gifted. He described you to me and then my other brother, who is also gifted, was kind enough to draw a picture from his description. Once I saw the portrait he drew, I began to see your face in my dreams.

“You may not be aware, but my family owns a very large and successful security company. We can find anything and anyone. Have you ever heard of facial recognition software? It’s a sophisticated technology that can find anyone on Earth and government agencies are not the only ones who have access to it. As a matter of fact, we have contracts with quite a few governments across the globe. I used the portrait and ran it through the computer program. It was then only a matter of using the vast resources at my disposal in conjunction with the influence of the Draglen name along with a little money to grease a few palms and just like magic, I found you. You may think you’re hidden but you have a driver’s license which includes your photo. Even after I saw your file photo, I still wasn’t sure. But once I found your location and saw you in person, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, you were the one.”

“But Domlen, the address on my driver’s license is not correct. It’s my old address, the one before I joined Corbin’s pack. So, how did you know where I moved?” she asks, arching her brows quizzically and scrunching her little adorable nose.

“Oh, I know. Although it made the process a bit more complicated, I was still able to continue my search. I showed your photo around and talked to a lot of wolves who live near your family. Thankfully, the women were always more helpful than the men, but in the end, I found you.”

“But why did you go through all that trouble to find me? I’m nothing special, Domlen.”

“It’s really simple. I just needed to guarantee my mother’s fear of me having a relationship with a wolf would never come true. My mother thinks she’s all-knowing and infallible, but I wanted to prove her wrong and rub her nose in it.” As I say the words, I study her face for a reaction.

She blinks rapidly several times and lowers her head. I know I’ve hurt her feelings but it’s for the best. There can never be a future for us. Tempest needs to go home to her pack. I need to go back to Kalin to find a new Giver, and the sooner the better. Tempest may have had an orgasm today but I didn’t and I need some relief. And it doesn’t help that her intoxicating scent is driving my beast wild.

She stands, pushes her plate away and looks at the floor.

“I’m done, Domlen. I want to go home now.”

I stand and look down at her. “Look at me, Tempest.”

“No.”

“Don’t you want to tell me goodbye, little wolf?”

“No.”

“Won’t you at least look at me?”

“No.”

By all that is holy, this is one infuriating female. I sigh loudly and pull out my portal.

“Alright, Tempest, have it your way. Hold onto me.”

She wraps her little arms around my neck and it feels so good, right yet somehow wrong. We enter the portal and she tightens her hold, laying her head against my chest. I place my hand on her lower back, pull her closer against my body and mark her with my smell. I’m not sure why I did it, especially since I told her we would never see each other again. I can’t explain it but I felt compelled to do it. I want to be able to find her. I don’t know what the future holds but for some reason, I don’t think our relationship, if you can call it that, is finished. Maybe I’ll contact her again to have sex. After all, she does owe me since I did give her the best orgasm of her life. I know she didn’t say it but trust me, I know. And yes, I’m that good.

But only after she loses her virginity. Yeah, I’m an asshole.

Once we arrive in Petoskey at the edge of pack territory, she looks up at me with sad eyes. I place my hand on the side of her lovely cheek and lightly stroke her soft skin.

“You’re home, Tempest.”

I hear the wolves approaching as they crash through the forest with the Alpha in the lead. He shifts quickly to his human form along with another wolf I recognize as the man who tackled Tempest to the ground. I believe he’s her brother.

Corbin stalks over and roughly pulls Tempest from my arms. She balks and jerks away from him. I’ll never admit this to her, but I’m happy to see her sassy attitude back. She’s been so withdrawn since our conversation.

“Corbin, let go! Don’t snatch me like that. I’m home and the dragon won’t be bothering any of us again,” she declares as she walks through the forest holding her gown above her ankles. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, what a woman!

Corbin shakes his head and turns his attention to me.

“My cousin is not wearing the clothes she left in, dragon.  I hope you were smart enough not to use her and steal her purity. If I discover you have violated her or harmed her in any way, I will end you. You may be a Draglen but I’m not without resources. I’ve already contacted a coven of witches who are more than willing to help me destroy you,” he growls, inciting all the other wolves to join in.

“Have no fear, pup. I didn’t take anything from her.” At least nothing she didn’t want to give, but I know better than to throw that in Corbin’s face.

I take out my portal to leave but stop to consider his words. I can’t allow a threat like that to stand. I feel compelled to show this Alpha who is really in charge here.

“You seem to think your threats and growls frighten me, wolf, but allow me to show you differently.”

Before Corbin realizes what I’m about to do, I use my superior speed to sweep through his pack of guards, throwing and pummeling wolves faster than the eye can see. The sound of howls, whines and cries fill the forest as bones splinter and break. I make sure I don’t kill anyone but it will take several days for the dogs to heal from their injuries. I want them to see how easy it would be for me to destroy every single one of them, without even breaking a sweat.

I open the portal and travel directly back to my home on Kalin. I will probably never see Tempest again, but regardless of whether I do or don’t, I need to find a new Giver and soon.

It wasn’t the best night of my life but it also wasn’t the worst. I haven’t seen my mother, Queen Nala yet, but she’s on my list of people to see today. I know I said I couldn’t wait to inform her of the inaccuracy of her vision, but I’m not really looking forward to our visit. She’s been on the war path since my sister Beauka left the palace the night of Gemi and Shalisi’s wedding.

Despite the best efforts of the entire family, no one has been able to find Beauka. My father, King Dramen, is in a panic, my mother is ready to declare war on Earth, and my brother Prince Draken, who is my father’s successor, is barely holding it all together. I don’t envy him one bit. He and his Wella are the proud new parents of twins, so he has his hands full trying to help handle his new brood while simultaneously trying to reassure the family along with the entire kingdom that their princess will return home unharmed.

I, on the other hand, know my sister well and have spent a great deal of time with her. If my suspicions are correct, and they generally are, Princess Beauka has not been kidnapped. She ran away voluntarily and all by her little self. My not-so-innocent baby sister will have a lot to explain once the Queen stops spewing fire.

That’s enough contemplation for one morning. It’s time to get started on my day.

I shower and dress, then decide to check my mail and schedule for the day. I hate interruptions but I sense her presence before she reveals herself.

“I’m not in the mood to be bothered, Tika. What have I told you about entering my home without an invitation?”

“Prince Domlen, I’m sorry to come uninvited, but I owe you an apology,” she says softly.

Tika is in love with me but I don’t feel the same. I like her, more than any of my Givers, but not enough to make our arrangement exclusive and certainly not enough to make her my Wella.

“Tika, you need to leave immediately. You and I are finished and nothing you can say will change my mind.”

“Domlen…”

“Prince Domlen to you. Now say it,” I snap. She needs to know I’m serious.

“Prince Domlen, I’m so sorry, but I need you, and if I dare be so bold, you need me, too. I know your needs, better than anyone.”

I quickly stand and stalk over to confront her. She flinches but to her credit, she doesn’t back away. I will never acknowledge the truthfulness of her statement, but she does know me well and is well versed on the things I enjoy. I lower my face to hers and see the fear and hurt in her eyes.

“You, obviously, don’t know my needs. If you did, you would not be here. I want you to go and this time, Tika, do not return.”

“But, please, I’m begging for another…”

“Stop! Don’t say anything else. Just leave, Tika, and go home, start a new life, and get a Molla, because you will never be my Wella, nor will I touch you again.”

She takes a ragged breath as she swipes away the tears trailing down her cheeks. Tika and I have been down this road before and I have no intention of traveling it again.

“Okay, Prince Domlen. Please forgive my intrusion,” she murmurs before disappearing from my sight.

Once Tika leaves, my thoughts return to Tempest. I hope she’s all right. I may have been a little rash by injuring so many of her packmates, but it’s their Alpha’s fault. He should never have threatened me. I hope they don’t blame her.

Enough regrets. It’s time to get started on my day. I have much to do.
