Uncaged (Havoc MC Book 1) by L.A. Boles (22)

Chapter Twenty-Two

Diablo

The little fucker wasn’t smart enough to be hiding when we rolled into his neighborhood. He was sitting on his porch in his wealthy neighborhood. Being on this side of town makes my skin itch. We don’t fit in here. But right now, I don’t give a fuck about fitting in. I have some questions that need answers.

Thirty bikes rolling into the quiet upscale neighborhood would scare the baddest motherfucker, so we took cages. No need to draw unnecessary attention to ourselves. The little fucker wasn’t even hiding when we pulled in. He’s not too smart. Or he thinks he’s a genius.

Stupid fuck.

He’s sitting on his front porch drinking coffee like he’s waiting for a friend to visit when we pull into his driveway.

“Hey man. Good seeing you again,” he says.

What the fuck is wrong with this guy?

“Get the fuck up!” I bark. He doesn’t move. “Get him up, Skull.”

“Oh, Skull is it?” he says as Skull moves to pull him up by his shirt collar. If I weren’t so pissed, I’d laugh at his stupidity. He looks like a wayward child being scolded. “Hey man, no need to get physical,” he whines. “Would you like to come inside?”

“No,” I say. Just as the word leaves my lips, the prospect pulls in his driveway with the cage. I look him in the eyes, and stare him down, showing him I have no soul. He knows he’s fucked and begins to struggle.

“Wait, man. I have information that can help you!” The confident asshole is replaced with a little whining bitch. “I know about Savy’s dad. He’s after her man. He says he’s going to kill her and take that brat back.” Skull punches Tyler in the right temple as soon as the words leave his lip. Knocking him out.

“Get him in the fuckin’ cage!” My blood is boiling. How the fuck does he know about Paul? Savy said she has told no one. “Joker, be thorough,” I say waving a thumb in the direction of the house.

“Right, Prez.” He goes inside to check every inch of the house for information.

“Let’s get the fuck out of here,” I say. Wanting to leave before any neighbors decide to be good citizens and call the cops.

Kris

I’m laying in bed at Tyler’s house thinking about how he can change my life forever. He’s rich and just the man I need to change my life. That was until I hear Diablo’s voice. He’s pissed. I’m sure it’s because I showed up to The Jungle with Tyler. I knew that bitch would tell him. In this life, snitches die.

You are going to die too.

Shaking my head, I quietly, but quickly slide from the covers and snatch up my clothes. Hastily pulling them on, I enter the bathroom and look for an exit. The window is small, but large enough for me to fit through. I stand on the counter and lift myself to the sill, peeking out. I see no one so I lift myself up to the window and crawl through. Ungraceful, I drop to the dirt below and lay flat against the earth, attempting to listen for approaching footsteps. I hear none, so I spring up and dash to the line of trees, out of sight. How the hell am I supposed to get out of this one? Reaching for my phone, it’s gone.

Fuck! I left it in Tyler’s house.

Diablo will find it and know I have been working with Tyler and Paul. They already know though. At least they know about Tyler. Maybe I can feign innocence and act like I know nothing about the plans Tyler and Paul have for Savy. This should work as long as Tyler keeps his mouth shut.

He will. He’s afraid of Paul, too.

Paul!

I need to get to Paul and tell him that Havoc was here. I move to the other side of the trees to see when they leave. Once the trucks and vans leave the subdivision and the coast is clear, I go back to Tyler’s house and climb back through the window. The house has been trashed, but my cell phone is still laying on the floor where it fell the night before. Tyler and I made love on the couch, and I remember hearing my phone hit the hardwood floor. Dialing the number programmed in my phone. I wait as it rings several times.

“What?” Paul answers.

“Uh, Paul. It’s Kris. Havoc just took Tyler.”

“Fuck!” he screams into the phone.

“Where are you?”

“At Tyler’s house. I ran when I heard them outside talking. I came back when they left.”

“Is Tyler’s car still there?”

I look outside and see the black Mercedes sitting in the driveway. “Yes.”

“Get in Tyler’s car and come to the house. We need to kick this plan into high gear.”

Diablo

“Let me show you why they call me the devil,” I say. Typically, Wolf handles this part of the job, but this is personal, so I’m leading the interrogation.

“No! Please, I’ll tell you anything you want.” He’s fucked, and he knows it.

“You are going to tell me everything I want to know, but first I need to show you who you fucked with.” Turning to Wolf, he hands me a surgical blade, my tool of choice.

“You see, Tyler. Savy is mine,” I say. My lip curls with so much menace, and some of my brothers start to fidget. I know I scare them when I get like this. I’m a scary motherfucker, hell if I ever had to face myself, I’d be afraid too.

I make the first slice down his chest. The incision is so thin that it doesn’t bleed for a few seconds. Then it only beads blood. I plan to make thousands of incisions. He’ll live for a long time, but will be in constant pain.

“Please man, I’ll tell you everything.”

“Start fuckin’ talkin’ then.”

“Pa-Paul is planning to kill Savy. He wants her dead.”

“You already said that, Tyler,” I chastise. “Tell me something to save your life.” We both know he’s a dead man, but he tries to save his life, anyway.

“He is going to ambush her after work at the club. He’s been watching her for over a year,” he rushes out.

“How the fuck do you know, Paul?” I ask.

Tyler doesn’t say a word. So I add ten more slices. This time, I cut deeper, making eleven straight lines in a row.

“How. The. Fuck. Do. You. Know. Paul?” I ask again, knowing Tyler is staring at the devil and afraid of how I will react to what he is about to tell me.

“He…” he stops.

“He?” I ask. He doesn’t answer me fast enough so I twist the surgical knife in my hand and stab Tyler in the thigh, leaving the knife embedded in his flesh. His screams fill the dungeon. It’s like music to my ears. The dungeon is the holding cell and torture chamber housed below the Compound. No one knows it’s down here and no one will hear Tyler’s screams.

“You better fucking tell me what I want to know, Tyler. If you do, I’ll make sure your death is painless.”

“He hired me,” he rasps out.

“Hired you to do what?” I growl.

“To, to date Savy. He wanted me to have sex with her and marry her. Then he would kill her so I could collect the insurance money. I was supposed to get half, but she found out I was fucking my secretary and she broke it off with me. He was pissed that I fucked it up. That’s why I wanted to meet her for dinner. I needed to get back with her. He said he would put me in jail and tell my father. I can’t go to jail,” he says all in one breath.

“What else?” I ask. My voice so low it’s almost inaudible. I fight to control the anger rising within me. My neck is tight and my body feels hot. I want to snap his fucking neck. He plotted to kill Savy for insurance money. This shit is worse than I thought.

“That’s it, man. I swear!”

“Bullshit!” I bellow. “You were outside her house that night. What did you want?”

“He wanted me to make sure the coast was clear. He knows you are helping her. He’s a cop man. He said he will kill her and anyone else that tries to stop him.”

I stand to my full height and pull the blade from his thigh, causing him to scream again. Handing the instrument off to Skull, I punch Tyler in the face and body. I work him over in a barrage of blows. For several minutes, I let all my frustration out on the man that tricked my ol’ lady into dating him, just so he can fake a marriage and kill her. Despite my attempts, the rage within my body doesn’t lessen. With one final strike, he topples over and the chair he is tied to crashes to the ground.

“Someone else can have fun with him. Make sure he disappears, forever,” I say as I walk out of the dungeon.

“Wait! I have information on Kris!” I stop, but don’t turn around.

“She’s working for Paul, too. He had us go to The Jungle to scare Savy. He’s crazy, man! Please! Please don’t kill me! He also has that girl Hazel. He’s fucking her up real good.”

“Where is he?” I say one last time. He hesitates again so I continue walking out.

As the door closes, I hear his last cry, “Nooo!” Once the door shuts, his words are cut off, and he’s dead.

Fuck!

How the fuck did I miss that Hazel is missing? I assumed she left when Kris left, they’ve always been close. I need to find this fucker. Now that he has Hazel, and he’s still after Savy and Ena, it’s as important as ever. Paul is getting more dangerous, and it’s clear he doesn’t care about taking innocent people to make his point clear.

Hazel’s a good girl who never gave me any trouble like Kris did, but she’s weak. Just the type of person Kris would attach herself to. Someone she can control. This bitch got Hazel mixed in with a psycho like Paul. We need to find her fast. Walking upstairs from the dungeon, I enter the main room and look around. I need to talk to Axel.

“Axel!” I yell.

He stands from the couch where he is talking to Misty and Molly. They are both sitting on his lap topless, but as soon as he sees it’s me who called him, he taps their legs and stands up, almost dumping the women off of his lap to the floor.

“Yeah, Prez?” he asks.

“I need to talk to you, in my office,” I say.

We walk to my office and I tell him what I need. He begins searching for Hazel’s phone and looking for any new information we may have missed during our first search on Paul Riley. I need to know where this fucker is staying while he’s in Sage, and I need to know fast.

We are going to find this fucker, and he will die a painful, slow death.

I smile at the thought.
