It had been three more days, and we still didn’t have our new identification. Martin said that it would be any day now, but I was starting to not believe him. I wanted to yell and throw things across the room, tell him damn my father and his morality clause. But I saw the look on his face and knew that this was as hard for him as it was for me. Instead, I went to him slowly and kissed him ever so gently.
