Vrak's Bride: Mail Order Brides Alien Mate Romance (Galactic Brides Book 2) by T.J. Quinn (8)

Chapter Ten

They ended the call and Vrak went looking for Aliyah. She was in her room, looking out of the window. He closed the door behind him and leaned against it. She turned around to look at him.

“Well? Was your friend able to get that idea out of your mind?” she asked frostily.

He didn’t answer right away, looking at her and relishing in the way the scarce daylight made her golden hair shine. She was still wearing it loose down her back, and it looked amazing.

“No one will make me change my mind, Aliyah. I’m not letting you go,” he assured her.

Her hands, tightly clasped in front of her clearly shook, but she quickly regained control over them. “You know this is insane. The man I’m supposed to marry will come for me…” she started saying, but he interrupted her.

“Yes, he probably will, with a small army as a backup, but I don’t care. I’m not changing my mind.”

She let out a small cry. “Why are you doing all this? You’re looking for trouble over what? A few days of wild passion?” she grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest.

“What if I am? Can you honestly tell me it’s not worth it?” he challenged her, but she chose not to answer.

“Let’s say you get away with your plan, what will happen to me when you realize all this wasn’t anything but a fling? A passing attraction?” she asked, with a slightly tremulous tone.

“If, and that’s a huge if, that happens, I’ll make sure you have a place of your own and enough money to last you a lifetime,” he assured her.

She snorted, not believing him. “I won’t be a part of this. When this storm ends, I’ll ask Kahm to pick me up and take me to the meeting point, and that will be the end of it,” she stated, determined not to play his insane game.

“I won’t let you.”

“And how do you plan on stopping me?” she challenged him.

“I’ll make you my prisoner if I have to,” he assured her, crossing the room and standing right next to her.

She raised her hands to stop him, but the moment they touched his hot skin, she knew she was lost.

He cradled her face and grazed his lips over hers. “The minute I laid eyes on you, your fate was sealed,” he whispered, grazing her cheeks all over to her earlobes, kissing and nibbling the sensitive skin.

She moaned out loud and unconsciously, took a step closer to him. Grunting his pleasure, he picked her up in his arms and carried her to bed, trashing her clothes on his way, eager to feel her silky skin.

When she was completely naked, he laid her on the bed and crawled next to her, covering her whole body with kisses and caresses, leaving no part untouched, from the tip of her toes to her forehead. Each kiss and each caress raised her arousal so high that by the time he reached her breasts she was squirming and whimpering, begging for release.

But this time, he didn’t seem to be in any hurry. He took his time to pleasure her countless times, making her come again and again. Finally, he took his place between her legs and made her his with a loud grunt.

She had no words to describe how she felt each time he took her. With his cocks, he filled her like no other man ever had, and the pleasure it summoned in her was definitely mind-blowing. But the most exquisite moment of the whole experience was certainly, the moment he came inside her. It was as if a huge wave of pleasure and bliss washed over her, making every single cell of her body hum with the pleasure he conjured for her.

He slid out of her and rolled away from her, lying next to her and pulling her closer. “You’re not going anywhere,” he whispered in her ear.

“We shall see that,” she mumbled, her eyes already closed, as she slipped into a well-deserved slumber.

Chuckling, Vrak kissed her forehead and waited until she was sound asleep before he jumped out of bed and put on his pants. He didn’t want to leave her, but he had things to tend to, and he might as well do it while she was sleeping.

He was closing the door to her room when Asim showed up in the hallway. Her expression changed completely when she saw where he was coming from.

“You were with her?” she hissed, furious.

He frowned and looked at her with a stern expression. “You have no right to question my life. Our private deal didn’t give you any rights over my life, and you are well aware of that,” he stated, in a cold tone.

She opened her mouth to protest, but she must have reconsidered her decision because she didn’t say a word. She simply nodded and walked away.

Shaking his head a bit upset, he went downstairs, and out to his men’s housings, looking for Bulk, his foreman.

Aliyah woke a few hours later to find herself all alone in bed. It was dark outside, but she could tell the night hadn’t fallen yet. She slid out of bed and went straight to the bathroom, needing a warm shower urgently.

She came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, and she was about to enter the dressing room when she noticed Asim, standing at the door.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, with a frown.

She didn’t move or say a thing for a few moments, her blue skin looking darker than usual. “You won’t last, you know that, don’t you? He has had the most beautiful females in the universe in his bed, and none has been able to capture his attention for more than a few moon’s rotations, and you won’t be any different,” she ranted.

“Why is this any of your business?” she asked, in a cold tone, facing the other woman.

“Because he’s mine. I’m the one who’s always here, waiting for him,” Asim said, in a threatening tone. “You will not jeopardize what we have, I’ll make sure of that.”

“If he’s really yours, as you say, then you have a serious problem with your self-esteem, girl. Why the hell do you let him treat you like a living sex doll?” she asked, with a scornful grin.

She didn’t like the other woman. She had been hostile ever since her arrival for no reason. Aliyah had no idea if she was telling her the truth, but this wasn’t the way to handle the situation. “You should be discussing this with Vrak, not with me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I would like to get dressed.”

Aliyah showed her the door, and for a moment, she thought the other woman would attack her. Fortunately, she turned around and left the room and Aliyah decided she had to talk to Vrak about what had just happened.

He had no right to turn her life upside down if he already was engaged in another relationship. She would never be a part of a damn harem that was for sure. Not willingly, anyway.

She put on some pants and a t-shirt and went looking for him, not bothering to put on shoes, since the whole place had thick, fluffy carpets that made walking barefoot a real pleasure.

But Vrak wasn’t around. She had to wait impatiently for him to return at dinner time. She had left a mark on the living room carpet from her constant pacing.

It was obvious he had been working with his men in some of the barns, and he was all sweaty. How he managed to be sweaty in cold weather like that one was a real mystery, though.

“Were you waiting for me?” he asked with a wicked grin, closing the distance between them.

“Yes, we need to talk,” she replied, taking a few steps away from him. She had no intention of being seduced by his presence this time.

“Can it wait until after I take a shower? I’m all sweaty,” he asked, still smiling.

“Yes, certainly. It’s not urgent.”

“You could always accompany, but then again, if you did, there wouldn’t be much talking between us,” Vrak suggested, in a sensuous tone.

“I’ll wait here,” she declined his offer, determined to stay as far away from him and his seduction as possible.

“I won’t be long.”

She nodded and watched him disappear up the stairs.

“You are really planning to tell him about our small conversation, aren’t you?” Asim’s voice on the other side of the room startled her.

“Wasn’t that what you wanted?” she asked with a cold tone. “What other reason could you have had to tell me all that?” she asked scornfully.

“I just want you to leave, as soon as this storm goes away. There is no place for you here,” Asim explained, walking towards her, menacingly.

“I never meant to stay, so why don’t you mind your own business and leave me alone?” she asked, towering the other woman.

For once, her big size played in her favor, and Asim cowered and quickly left the room.

Too impatient to keep waiting, Aliyah went looking for Vrak. She had no idea which room was his, so she looked for him in all the rooms upstairs until she saw his pants on the floor.

Taking a deep breath, she walked right into his bathroom and found him still under the shower.

Vrak turned around and smiled pleased when he saw it was her. “Did you change your mind?” he asked, with a flirtatious tone.

“No. I just got tired of waiting,” she assured him, in a very cold tone.

“What’s going on?”

“Were you really planning to disrupt my whole life over something you’ve been doing with every woman you find attractive?” Aliyah ranted, pacing the small area in front of the shower stall, too upset to stay still. “Ruin my life and upset the man who’s waiting to marry me so that you could have a few weeks of fun?”

Frowning, he finished showering immediately and walked out of the stall, grabbing a towel on his way out.

“What are you talking about?” he asked, in a stern tone.

“Asim has told me all about it. She told me about all the women you have brought here and how you play with them until all the fun is over and how you always return to her,” she ranted, finally stopping and facing him. “You started a relationship with me while she was still warming your bed!” she yelled at him, doing her best not to let him know how hurt she was underneath her rage.

He dropped the towel and looked at her. “I haven’t touched another woman ever since I saw you,” he stated in a stern tone. “My past arrangement with Asim has nothing to do with you. I have no idea why she came to you with those stories, but I will find out,” he added, his tone getting colder by the word.

“The point is, I’m not allowing you to ruin my life just because you decided, on one of your frequent whims, you wanted me in your life,” she ranted, her heart aching as she realized he hadn’t denied having been Asim’s lover. “As soon as this storm is over, I’ll leave, and that will be all,” she added, turning around and striding out of his room.

Unwilling to be in her own room, alone with her thoughts, she picked up her winter jacket and her boots and left the house. She didn’t plan on going further away from the house, she just needed to cool off and give her heart some time to heal, from her stupid crush over a man she didn’t even know.

Sure, he was fabulous in bed and made her feel like no other man had, but that was just lust. Love was a lot more, and she didn’t know him enough to love him. She would get over her lustful feelings for him. She would be a faithful wife to the warrior she was engaged to. She would have the life she had been dreaming of ever since she was a child – peaceful, filled with joy and satisfaction. She had had enough drama in her life to last her an eternity.

Or so she kept telling herself.

A gust of wind almost knocked Aliyah off her feet, and she took note of where she was. She had walked way too far from the house, and the building was no longer in sight. If that wasn’t enough, the storm was getting worse once more.

Shuddering, she turned around and rapidly walked towards the house, backtracking her footsteps, as fast as she could, sure the wind would soon erase them, and she would be in deep trouble.
