Jake
I take the fastest shower ever known to man, just to rid myself of all the sweat and blood so I can touch Annie. Then I pull on my sweats and swing Annie up into my arms.
She squeals. “Put me down before you hurt yourself!”
I laugh as I carry her out the door and down the hall. “I’m not taking any chances of losing track of you before I get you back into my bed.”
“Jake, I’m serious,” she says, laughing. “I’m too heavy. Put me down.”
“Oh, come on. How much do you weigh? One forty?”
She hesitates. “Close. One forty-five.”
“I can bench press three of you, babe, so don’t worry.”
When we reach the foyer, she tries to shimmy out of my arms, but I hold onto her and begin to climb the stairs, taking two at a time.
“Oh, now you’re just showing off,” she says, laughing.
She’s right. I am. I need to show off a little after that sissy crying fit downstairs. Not my greatest moment. I can be sensitive, but for a grown man to bawl his eyes out in front of his woman is a bit embarrassing. Thank God the guys didn’t see that. Or Charlie. They’d never let me live it down.
Once we’re safely in my room, I nudge the door closed with my shoulder. Only then do I set her on her feet. She pulls out her phone and checks the nanny cam app—showing me the screen. Aiden is sound asleep.
“This is going to take some getting used to,” I say.
“What is?”
“Having a kid. I’m not complaining, mind you, but I’ve never had to worry about a kid waking up and walking in on me having sex.”
She laughs. “Get used to it, pal. We’re a package deal. If you want me, you have to want him too.”
“Oh, believe me, I do! It’s actually kind of cool. Shane has a son now, and so do I.” I know there’s a stupid grin on my face. I can tell by her pleased expression.
Smiling at me, she steps closer and wraps her arms around my waist. “I love you, Jacob.”
My heart contracts at the sound of those words. Words I thought I’d never hear from her again. “I love you, too, Elliot. For now and for always.”
I lean down and nuzzle the side of her neck, right below her ear, and place a series of open-mouth kisses there. The scent of her skin really is an aphrodisiac for me. I so desperately want to suck on her skin and leave my mark behind, but she might not appreciate being covered in hickeys tomorrow. My body responds instantly, growing hard and hot and impatient. While she’s distracted by my kisses, I pick her up and sit her on my dresser.
She grins. “What are you up to now?”
“I’m making up for lost time. I want to take you on every possible surface, starting with this dresser. Then we’ll move to the bed and try a few other positions. But first I want to strip you bare and taste every inch of your delectable body.”
I take hold of the hem of her top and pull it up and off her, dropping it at my feet. She’s left in a pretty pink bra and pink PJ bottoms.
My gaze is locked on her cleavage. Unable to help myself, I cup her breasts, weighing them in my palms. They’re substantial and heavy, much more so than when we were kids. I press a kiss between the soft mounds and breathe in her warm scent.
My dick twitches in my sweats, lengthening and hardening, straining.
