Chapter 2

Felicia

Stepping into the elevator, I hold the box close to me, tucking the awkwardly bulging part of the appendage under my arm. I grin at the thought of meeting the hottest young CEO in the Seattle metro and walking away with a dildo in a box. Ever since Kip informed me that he needed some space a few weeks ago, an unfulfilling sex life has transitioned into a nonexistent one. I know our lack of sexual chemistry was one of the reasons for his reluctance to move forward. That’s the main reason working for a guy like Rex appeals to me. I’ll show that dumbass jock who’s a boring prude. The elevator stops at the fourth floor, and as the doors begin to open, a man to my left pushes past me, clipping my elbow. Fuck is the only word that springs to mind as the klutz dislodges the gift box in the process. I gasp as the box crashes to floor and the dildo bounces up against the metal panel below the buttons before coming to a stop, resting on its side.

“I’m sorry,” I blurt out, feeling the need to apologize to the other occupants. I pick it up and look to my portfolio, already knowing it’s not going to fit in there. I simply shove it back under my arm, but now I have a pair of fake balls resting next to my left breast. God, help me.

“You must work for for the sex toy guy?” a guy my age asks with a chuckle.

“How did you guess?” I reply, shaking my head and trying to ignore the fact that my cheeks are literally on fire. “I’m not an official employee yet.”

“She has to take a test drive first,” the young guy’s buddy chimes in, causing a good laugh for the other half-dozen people in the elevator. I glare at both of them, wanting to put an immediate end to it.

“It’s okay,” a woman says, holding out her hand. “I imagine we’re going to the same parking ramp, so I can throw it in my bag for now.”

“Oh, you were the lady who was meeting with Mr. Hastings before I did,” I reply, suddenly recognizing her. “You work there?”

“I’m Sally. I was his first hire. I was the one who took the mold and lined up the manufacturing for the RH Signature line. I’m surprised he already lent out the only prototype. We need it to take photos for the website and the revised catalog,” she says, turning the dildo in her hand before dropping it into her bag.

“Well, I’m supposed to write a marketing pitch by tomorrow morning, so I’ll be sure to bring it back in perfect condition.” My attention is pulled to the two young men who are trying their best to contain their laughter as the elevator finally reaches the lobby. I relax and crack a smile. “You’re welcome, guys. I know this will give you something to laugh about over beers tonight.”

“You definitely made my day,” one of them replies as the elevator doors open. Both guys burst into full-fledged laughter as they exit and head toward the other side of the lobby.

“You’d better get used to it,” Sally advises, lowering her head and looking over the top of her sunglasses. “If you’re going to work around sex toys and ‘Mr. O’, you’ll need to develop a pretty thick skin.”

“Yeah, I heard him teasing you earlier. I told him I wasn’t going to sign up for any harassment.” I pause for a moment, looking for the exit to the parking garage. “I never pay enough attention to where I park my car.”

“Just follow me,” she says with a toss of her head. “If you’re in guest parking, it’s right outside the door. Rex is a little more verbally liberal than other bosses I’ve had, but he never crosses the line. He just likes to tease us.”

“I’m fine with a little teasing, but I’m going to have to get this blushing under control,” I reply, still fanning myself with my portfolio. “It felt like my cheeks were going to burst into flames after that thing bounced across the floor.”

“The look on your face was priceless, my dear.” She pushes the door open, and my shiny black BMW is just ahead of us in the third stall.

“There I am.” I walk over to it and grab the handle to trigger the locks.

“Nice car,” she comments, walking around the back of it. “Wow, an M6 convertible . . . that’s my dream car.”

“It was a graduation gift from my ex-boyfriend,” I admit sheepishly. “Then he broke up with me two weeks later.”

“Well, that’s a pretty awesome parting gift. Hell, I’d probably trade my husband for one of these,” she jokes before her expression turns serious. “I’m only joking. I love my bald little Sylvester to death.” She smiles and reaches into her bag for the dildo. “Now, you take good care of this baby. I don’t want to see any damage when it returns.” She glares over her sunglasses again. “And don’t put it in the dishwasher because it will discolor it.”

“I’ll treat it with the utmost respect,” I assure her, feeling the warmth returning to my cheeks. The dishwasher hadn’t even crossed my mind. The dishwasher?

“Yeah, you definitely need to get that blushing under control,” she adds before turning to head toward her car. “You really should take that thing for a test drive tonight though. We’ll want to hear the passion in your words as you describe why women should buy it.” She glances back, giving me a wink as her heels click rhythmically against the concrete.

Passion. There’s that damn word again. That’s exactly what Kip said I lacked, and I honestly can’t say he was wrong. I’ve never been passionate about anything. I like music, going out, dancing, and even golf, but I can’t say I’m passionate about any of them. As far as Kip is concerned, I think I might have convinced myself that I loved him. He’s good looking, has a great body, and even my mom liked him, but he’s right, I was never passionate about him.

It was nice to be with him, but I have to admit that I also looked forward to his going out of town for games. Football is definitely not a passion of mine, so I found myself having a hard time focusing during his endless ramblings about what had worked and went wrong in the previous game. It would take him until Wednesday to finally stop critiquing Sunday’s game, and then he would start talking about the next one. Over time, I found myself simply checking out and letting him ramble on. It’s probably a good thing that he got cold feet because I would’ve endured it for the sake of making things work. I had convinced myself that it was a small price to pay for a financially secure future with a sexy guy.

Moving from his beautiful home overlooking Lake Washington to a studio apartment just a few miles away was rough. Even the rent on that place is out of my league until I land a decent job. That’s actually why I was visiting Mom that day when I saw that catalog in her garbage. I needed to borrow some money for the security deposit. I had a hard time swallowing my pride, but she didn’t make a fuss about it. She got half of Dad’s assets in the divorce, so she’s set for life. If things aren’t showing signs of improvement by next month, I’ll have to look at selling something. The diamond necklace that Kip gave me last Christmas is at the top of the short list of assets I can purge. I’ll sell this car, too, if I have to, but it would be much tougher to part with.

I click the number to call my best friend, Becca, as I turn onto Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and traffic slows to a crawl. I’m disappointed as it clicks immediately to her voicemail. “Where have you been, hun? I’ve got fun things to tell you about. I went to a job interview today and that led to the most embarrassing elevator ride in my life. Call me.” I click to end the call and debate calling Mom, but then I hear Brand New Moves from Hey Violet playing in the background. I crank it up and my mood instantly improves.

Since the last time we danced, I learned some brand new moves.

Since the last time we kissed, I’ve learned a thing or two.

I’ve listened to this song quite a few times since the breakup. It’s definitely time for me to learn some brand new moves. I glance over at the large silicone penis resting in the passenger seat, thinking that might be the right tool to practice on. I can’t believe he sent something like that home with me when he doesn’t even know me. That’s pretty bold. I wonder if he has any male employees? I didn’t see any during my brief visit. Maybe he likes the idea of being surrounded by women. I’m going to have to get my blushing under control. It’s so damn embarrassing.

After my Lean Cuisine herb-roasted chicken and an oversized glass of chardonnay, my thoughts turn back to the marketing challenge that Rex gave me. I set the dildo in the middle of the table wishing Becca would’ve called me back. She’s easily the kinkiest person I know and would’ve been a great brainstorming partner. My mind goes completely blank after picking up a pen and opening my tablet. It’s large, flesh-colored, and looks like a penis. What more is there to say about it? It’s pretty realistic, down to the fact that you can see the veins running the length of it. The balls are large and would probably work well as a handle. I laugh out loud as I write that down as one of the benefits. It also has a flat base, so it stands proudly at attention.

The downside? I don’t think I will even be able to get the thing inside me. Maybe there is a lube or something that I’m supposed to use. Crap, I don’t have anything like that. I think back to the commercials I saw around Valentine’s Day and try to recall the name of the product. They make one that gets hot, one for girls, and another for guys. I type sex lubricants into my phone. KY! That’s it! My cheeks get warm at the thought of walking up to the checkout counter with a bottle of it. I type in homemade sex lubricants instead. Coconut oil is the number one answer. Yes! I actually have some of that. I gradually come to the conclusion that I’m going to have to try this thing out if I’m going to write a convincing marketing piece. I have some leftover condoms, so I’ll stick one of those on it to keep it clean. Giving Rex back a used dildo seems wrong on so many levels. I’m not even going to admit that I used it.

I pick it up from the table and go to the sink, putting a dab of soap in my palm, and wash it thoroughly with warm water. The sexiest young CEO in Seattle creeps into my thoughts as my fingers move along the length of it. The immediate reaction between my thighs catches me off-guard. I’ve never had a good imagination, so the fact that I can easily visualize how he looked earlier is a pleasant surprise. The other surprising thing is how realistic this thing is to the touch. He wasn’t kidding when he said that it feels amazingly like the real thing. I leave it sitting in a big glass of warm water before going to slip into some more appropriate attire. The anticipation continues to build as I toss my dress clothes into the hamper and retrieve my robe from the back of the bathroom door. This is something so far out of the norm for me that I find myself checking my face in the mirror. As if I need to look good for a sex toy.

I can actually feel my heart beating in my chest as I go back to the sink to retrieve it. I towel dry the warm, firm cock before retrieving the coconut oil and taking both of them to bed with me. After retrieving a condom from my nightstand, I click Spotify and select the Romantic Ballads playlist. How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding begins to play. I can’t help laughing as I unroll the condom down the length of the shaft. Wow, that’s impressive. There are still a couple inches of bare silicone showing once it’s completely rolled out. This thing needs one of those extra-large ones. I close my eyes and think of Rex hovering above me as I touch the tip of it to my slick, overheated lips. Maybe coconut oil won’t be necessary after all. I picture lust in his eyes and the sexy grin on his perfect lips as he pushes his engorged head past my snug lips before pausing to give me a passionate kiss.

“Go slow. I’m not used to something so big,” I whisper, adding a bit of realism. He pulls back just slightly, moving slowly and methodically, letting me get used to it. I feel a surge of lust course through me as I begin to crave the feeling of having him deeper within me. After several more short, conservative strokes, he pushes an additional inch or so into me. I immediately sense the top of his head firmly against what must be that infamous G-spot, because a definite shudder sweeps through my body. He pulls back a few inches before moving across the same sensitive area once again. It must be the right angle or something, because I’ve never felt anything this intense before. “That’s the spot,” I whisper, wanting him to continue in that same spot to see where it leads. I’m beginning to see why it may be easier for women to have an orgasm on their own. Most guys don’t pay that much attention to whether they are hitting the right spots. My legs are now trembling and I feel as if I’m beginning to lose control, so I pause to adjust my grip. I want to be able to focus directly on that spot that has forever been neglected. The feelings surging through me are only intensified by the expression on Rex’s face as he continues to fuck me to my very first orgasm. “That’s incredible, baby,” I moan, my body beginning to writhe beneath him. Things are becoming fuzzy, and foreign sensations begin to surge through me. Becca has told me that there is nothing like a mind-blowing orgasm, but she has never been able to explain what it was like. Now I see why.

After the first wave of orgasmic pleasure begins to subside, I immediately feel the urge to experience all of him. “Give me all of it.” His rock hard cock continues deeper within me, stretching me in a way that has never been done before. Unlike the spot earlier, this is less intense and less focused but is equally as pleasurable. The feeling of being stretched beyond where I’ve been before is a rush of its own. After allowing only a few strokes to adapt, he pulls back and plunges his full length into me. “Oh, fuck!” I cry as an immediate wave of pleasure and pain surges from my core. A thought of worry flashes through the back of my mind—hopefully, the pain is normal. Within a half-dozen strokes, however, the pleasure has completely overwhelmed the pain and I continue to take him all the way to the hilt. My toes curl so hard that I feel a pinch in the bottom of my foot, but again, the pain is nothing but a momentary distraction. I’ve never experienced anything close to the climactic pleasure that is currently breaking through me. I take him all the way to the hilt and hold him there while wave after wave crashes through me. I can picture the self-assured grin on his face. The one that says he knows exactly what he has just done for me. It’s no wonder the man has such a confident air about him. Good lord, that was incredible.

After spending several minutes in a warm state of bliss and listening to Enrique Iglesias sing Hero, I begin to come back to my senses. Wow, it’s probably a good thing I didn’t discover this at an earlier age. I would’ve never left my room as a teenager. I snicker at the thought of spending prom night at home with my silicone friend. It definitely would’ve been a more satisfying experience than going to prom with Jordan Sacco. He was a nice guy but a terrible kisser. I’ll never forget being grossed out by how he used his tongue. It reminded me of being licked in the face by the neighbor’s dog and was just as big of a turnoff. I glance down at the beautiful cock standing proudly at my side. I suppose I’d better go clean it up and write down my thoughts. I just need to enjoy this feeling for another minute or two.
