Chapter 9

Eyes drifting slowly open, Caitlyn soaked up the feel of Nolan's warmth pressed up tight against her back. One of his arms was slung around her, holding her securely to him. Something told her that if she were to move away from him he would just tug her right back into his body. A small smile on her face she pulled away, testing her theory she put a small space in between them. Nolan didn't disappoint her, bringing her right back towards him as he scooted forward to meet her. Thinking about him chasing her all over the bed while she slept had a swarm of butterflies tickling her insides again. Finding a man who cuddled you after sex wasn't difficult, but one who held you close all night long, that was a rarity indeed.

"Mornin' beautiful. Where do you think yer going?" His voice still deep and gravelly from sleep.

Filing the sound of it away in the recesses of her brain she leaned back into him shrugging her shoulders. The action itself had been casual, but the words she said were anything but. "Nowhere, Nolan. I'm not going anywhere."

He moved the hair off her shoulder. "Good, I like right where ye are meself. In fact, I'd be a damn fool not to take full advantage of the bounty laid in front of me." He said while laying kisses across the top of her shoulder.

Caitlyn's breath caught in her throat as his hand slid knowingly down her body. His fingers slowly teased the patch of short red curls until goosebumps broke out over her skin.

"Jesus, love." He breathed into her ear and slid a finger up inside of her. She was wet, and already aching hungrily for him. From this angle his palm pressed deliciously up against her clit while his finger stroked deep inside her pussy. Within moments she was gasping for breath her body racing towards that first peak. Crying out she reached back tunneling her fingers into his hair. Nolan added a second finger to the first one still working inside her. "One more time. I love how ye feel when yer breaking apart around me." He said scraping his teeth along her skin. Helpless to do anything else with his hand doing that to her she moaned as the aftershocks from the first orgasm built, and built until she was shuddering as another one crashed through her.

Nolan leaned away from her a moment, and she heard the condom packet ripping open before he pressed against her again. Reaching down he hooked her leg in the crook of his elbow giving him better access, and slid slowly inside her still trembling pussy.

"Fucking hell ye feel good." He said holding still, his dick all the way inside her absorbing all the little spasms as her quaking body milked his. Caitlyn pushed back into him, silently begging him to move, and he gave a teasing rotation of his hips. "Need me?" He asked her, knowing the answer.

              "Oh god, yes." She whimpered.

"I'm all yers love." He said and finally rocked his hips, moving his dick. Hitting the perfect spot.

Crying out a thankful gasp she closed her eyes lost in the way his body made hers feel. Every time he was buried deep inside of her the rest of the world just faded away. The room could burn up in flames around them, and as long as he kept making love to her everything would be okay. The sound of his breathing, deep and excited in her ear, his chest hair tickling her back, his fingers gripping her leg as he held it up, was all too much. She could feel the effort it was taking him to keep moving steady, and needing to feel him come with her she as she raced towards the edge, dug her fingers into his scalp. "Come with me Nolan...I want...together." She heard his growl in her ear, his hips stuttered as she came apart around him with a breathless moan.

They lay there tangled in each other while their hearts slowed down. "Love?" Nolan asked.

              "Hhmm?" She answered sounding content.

"Still wanting a drive today?" He asked stroking his fingers softly over her skin.

"Yes. I want you to show me somewhere. I want to remember for the rest of my life, this is where Nolan took me."

"I'd like to take ye everywhere." He said sitting up and looking down at her. "Caitlyn, I..." He started before she quickly put her fingers up to his mouth stopping what he was going to say.

"I'm, uh, I'm going to get dressed and send my kids an email a minute. Want to order us some breakfast?" She said with an edge of terror in her voice. Whatever it was he was about to say was something she knew she could not handle hearing this morning. The intense look in his eyes told her that much.

"Alright love." He said flopping back down on to the bed as she got up and walked away.

Grateful he didn't push she checked outside and saw it was raining softly, but the sun was somehow still managing to shine. It gave the morning a dreamy, ethereal quality. Although being in his arms could have added to that magic. Opening the closet she pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans, and a white t shirt that had slim horizontal black stripes on it. Pulling out her lacy white bra and matching underwear from the dresser drawer she headed into the bathroom. After she was dressed, face washed and had a little makeup on she pulled her hair up and off her neck in a messy pony tail, strands floating carelessly around her face. Walking back out into the room she saw Nolan was just pulling his shirt on. It took her a full minute to remember how to breathe seeing him in the deep blue color. He was so effortlessly sexy that it was literally a punch to her solar plexus.

Catching her watching he winked. "A man could get used to ye watching him like that, love."

Shaking her head at him she let out a shaky laugh and picked up her laptop carrying it over to the couch to type up her email, leaving the desk for Nolan to make the call to room service. There was an email in her inbox from Bryan. Dreading what it would say she opened it. He was asking her why she was staying the whole time in Dublin now, instead of moving around like she originally planned. One of the boys must have mentioned it to him after her last email. As a rule Caitlyn didn't like to lie, but telling her ex husband about the exciting affair she was currently enjoying didn't seem like the best idea in the world. She told him instead how she loved her hotel room, and didn't feel like packing and unpacking over and over. That getting to the places she wanted to see wasn't that hard, nothing seemed too far from here. After that she sent off one to her boys, making sure to include pictures she took in the Guinness Storehouse yesterday. She asked how they were doing, told them she missed them, and to be good for their Dad. Ending it with all her love she sent it off.

By the time they were done eating their breakfasts Caitlyn was practically buzzing to get going. Shrugging her shoulders into her well loved denim jacket she grabbed her purse, checking for an umbrella. She turned to ask if he was ready when she saw the way he was looking at her. "What?" She asked, tilting her head quizzically to the side.

"Damn, I'm a fuckin' lucky man." He said with his blue eyes like the waves dancing in the sun. She loved that he looked thunderstruck, and was so willing to show her how he was feeling.

Walking over to him she ran her hands up his chest and leaned up to kiss him. Telling him with her lips and tongue what she couldn't manage with her words. His arms wrapped tightly around her, pulling her in as close as he could. She kissed him until she was damn sure he understood what she was saying. Then she pulled away and with a beaming smile said, "show me your country Nolan."

Downstairs the valet brought his car around for them. He watched her face closely when the black Range Rover pulled up to the curb. He held the door open for her, and she climbed up inside passenger seat. Wondering why he had been looking at her that way she watched him round the hood and walk to his door. Not coming up with any reasons that made  any sense at all to her, she gave up and enjoyed the ride out of the city, glad she wasn't the one driving. Nolan reached over and laced his fingers through hers like it was something he had always done when they rode together. Nothing ever seemed like it was the first time with him, it all came so naturally to them.

Once they were free of the hectic hustle and bustle of the city the openness comforted Caitlyn. It was always like that for her. The buildings had a way of crowding in, and making you feel surrounded. Once the horizon cleared it always eased something down deep inside of her. Caitlyn was enjoying her time in Dublin, but seeing the vast green rolling past the window was enough to have her sighing in relief.

"This place is so beautiful. I would never be able to name all the different shades of green in front of me if I tried. There just aren't words." She said still looking out the window.

"All that rain is good fer something then." He joked, his thumb rubbing across her hand. He took her to the lovely Powerscourt Gardens, in County Wicklow. The massive 47 acre estate was full of statues, formal gardens, with lakes and walking trails. They strolled for hours lost in each other. Caitlyn took a million pictures of the stately old house, and wondrous gardens. The ever present sprinkling of rain not even bothering them. Tucked up close to each other underneath the umbrella, it felt like they were the only ones there.

A little while later a bored looking blonde teenage girl walking with her parents near them stopped and openly stared, not seeming to notice that her parents kept walking on. Her young freckled face turning a deep shade of scarlet with her blushing, before a giant grin spread across her face showing off the multicolored braces on her teeth. She gave an excited little wave of her hand, before running away to catch up with her parents. Caitlyn remembered what it felt like to be that young, and if she had happened across Nolan, in all his easy masculine beauty, well she would have probably had the same response too. Looking up at him she wasn't even sure he had noticed the girls reaction though, since he was staring intently down at Caitlyn. So many thoughts flitting across his ocean eyes, too fast for her to interpret any of them. Then he smirked at her, in the way only a man who knows exactly what you taste like can. Now she was the one who's cheeks were blushing.

He reached down holding her face in his hand, caressing her cheek reverently. "Are ye enjoying making memories, my love?" He touched his lips softly to hers a moment.

Gazing up into his eyes she admitted, "this is definitely memorable, Nolan." The smile he awarded her with was bright enough to blind, and she basked in its warmth as they made their way back towards his car.

He took her to a small restaurant that looked like the kind of place tourists usually passed by, but that the locals knew was really the best place around to eat. They were seated in a quiet spot Nolan facing her, and away from the rest of the room. Caitlyn knew she had his complete and undivided attention. Having Nolan focus so intently on her like she was the only woman in the whole place was dizzying. After she finished eating she excused herself to go to the restroom while he paid the bill. The woman looking back at her in the mirror as she washed her hands over the sinks was hardly recognizable to her. She looked so carefree, happy, and completely besotted. Caitlyn wasn't sure when she had ever seen herself look like this before, but she liked it.

There were a few people around Nolan when she walked out, talking excitedly. As she approached she heard snippets about goals scored, and what everyone thought about it. She guessed he was finding out what the score was on a game he missed out on, she walked up smiling, thinking nothing more of it. He said goodbye politely and walked them out of the restaurant and to the car with a hand lightly on her back.

The long exciting nights spent in Nolan's arms, followed by days out exploring finally caught up to Caitlyn on the ride back to Dublin. Unable to fight the drugging pull of the quietly humming engine, and smooth motion of the miles speeding past she curled up in her seat, resting her head on her arm laying on the leather center console she fell asleep.

"Love, we're here. C'mon baby, lets get ye up to bed." Nolan said as he ran his fingers over her hair.

Caitlyn blinked at him bewildered for a moment while her brain worked to fight free of the wonderful hold sleep had on it. "We're here?" She asked with a yawn.

"Yeah, ye slept the whole way back. Want me to carry ye up?"He asked as she fumbled with the seat belt.

"No, I can walk. I don't need to be carried up to bed like a baby." She said grumpily.

Nolan disguised his laugh as a cough, opening his door and climbing out. Handing the valet his keys he walked over and opened her door. Leaning in he held out his hand for her. Caitlyn used him to pull herself out of the car, and stepped onto the pavement. Nolan's arm came around her, guiding her into the lobby. "Wait, my purse." She said.

"Don't worry, I've got it love." He said leading her into the elevator. Leaning on Nolan was the only thing keeping Caitlyn upright the whole way up to their floor. The doors dinged and she took a clumsy step forward. Nolan caught her before she weaved into the doorway. Scooping her up with an arm under her legs, the other behind her shoulders he walked them towards the room.

"I'm not that sleepy." She protested, her words mumbled as she pressed her face into his chest. They stopped at the door, and he tucked her in close to his body leaning back a bit as he reached for the key card in his back pocket. He managed to get them successfully into the room, and closed the door with his foot. He carried her straight to the big four poster bed. Setting Caitlyn down on the soft expanse of white comforter Nolan squatted down and took her shoes off. Caitlyn sat there frozen watching him take care of her like it came so naturally to him. He gently lifted her striped t-shirt up off her, then unbuttoned her pants. Caitlyn sleepily helped him tug the jeans off her. Once she was in her lacy white bra and panties he pulled the covers back and tucked her in gently.

"I'm still wired from the drive, love. I'm gonna check me emails and come to bed in bit." He said in a whisper as he leaned down pressing a kiss on her forehead. Caitlyn watched, through heavy lidded eyes as Nolan walked over to the couch pulling his phone out of his pocket and sat down. Thinking that it was nice to have someone take care of her like that, she burrowed into the covers and dropped off to sleep.
