Chapter 22

A giant window took up one whole wall of the bedroom, looking out to sky-rises. There was a giant king sized bed topped with an opulent comforter, and piles of pillows against the massive headboard. Nolan tossed Caitlyn down on to the bed with a grin and jumped on top of her, kissing her. Coming up for air he asked her how the flight down had been, and she told him how she had been so impressed she even took a selfie. Nolan pushed up on his arms and laughed. It was a full throat-ed sounding, eyes crinkling, face glowing laugh. Caitlyn just stared up at him stunned breathless. Reaching up she laid a hand against his cheek, and just absorbed some of the joy pouring off of him.

"Thank you." Caitlyn whispered, her hand still cupping his face as he stared down at her with so much happiness swimming in his eyes.

"What fer?" He asked her. God, how she loved the sound of his accent.

"Forgiving me. Why did I let you go?" She tried saying more, but the words clogged up in her throat. Shaking her head against the bed she repeated, "you didn't have to forgive me."

Nolan turned his head and laid a kiss on the hand still resting on his face, before leaning down and kissing her sweetly on the tip of her nose. "That's what ye do when ye love someone. Caitlyn, ye lit up me world from the moment ye turned and looked at me sitting on the stool in that pub. Why would I wander alone in the dark when I can walk with ye in the light?"

Wrapping her arms around him she pulled him down and hugged his body tightly to her. "I've spent months imagining your face waking up without me there, and I don't think I will ever be able to let that image go." She confessed.

Rolling to his back so he didn't crush her with his weight, he pulled Caitlyn up on his chest. Smoothing her hair back from her face with his hand it took him a moment to arrange his words, as she watched his face. "I'll not lie to ye, I was fuckin' crushed. However yer picturing it, twas probably worse, truth be told." Tears shimmered in her eyes, and she tried to pull away from him. He held her still and continued, "I called every damn hotel in all of Ireland trying to find ye, but couldn't. Then I called the airport, but they wouldn't tell me any damn thing. Not sure what else to do, I drove to me Mum's. I told her everything, the whole of our story up and until that moment. She told me to give ye time, that ye must be scared as hell, and rightfully so, but not to doubt that ye loved me. When I asked how she knew, she told me that if ye didn't there woulda not been a note. I sat there, thinking out in her back garden for hours. Long after the sun set. The next morning I grabbed me guitar and didn't stop writing until all the sharp edges of the pain dulled." Caitlyn stared down at his chest listening. Using a finger Nolan tipped her face up, not allowing her to hide it. "Where did ye go?" He asked.

"I couldn't get an earlier flight home, I caught a train up to Belfast. I couldn't have stayed away from you in Dublin." She told him. "I'm so sorry Nolan, all I did was break both of our hearts."

"Pouring all of that into my songs, I've nothing left to hold against ye. Like I said, I understand, really baby I do. And  I see that ye suffered just as much as I did. Years from now, it will just be another chapter in our love story, it'll not define us. You'll see."

Gazing down at the truth she could see in his eyes, his body warm underneath hers, she let his words sink in. Leaning down she pressed a kiss against his lips. Pulling back she asked him, "How did I get so lucky? Time and time again you show me that you're just the best man, Nolan. There aren't enough stars in the sky to thank." She laid her head back down on his chest.

"I dunno about ye being the lucky one. I've got a gorgeous woman here on me chest. She happens to have eyes that make me hands shake with their beauty, lips that taste better 'en anything else in the whole of the world, and a body that would tempt a saint. Best part, is I've somehow managed to charm her into handing me her heart." He kissed her long and deep. Drifting over to her neck he whispered in her ear, "I'll not be handing it back, not ever."

Caitlyn nodded her head at his words. Then let out a shaking breath as he sucked her ear lobe into his mouth, biting it tenderly. "God, I could stay right here all day." She breathed as his hand gripped her hair turning her head to give him better access to the other side of her neck.

"Suits me right down to da fuckin' ground." He said, his breath brushing her heated skin. "I've not had ye in me arms for far too long."

Caitlyn climbed up, straddling his hips. Rubbing her clit over his semi-soft dick she felt him growing hard as she moved. He sat up kissing her mouth hungrily, his hands moving her hips, guiding her pussy over his now fully hard dick until he slid smoothly inside. Holding on to his shoulders she rode him slowly. He wrapped one arm around her back, holding her so close against his chest that the hair sprinkled there scraped her nipples as she moved. His mouth against hers he swallowed her cries as she found a rhythm that dragged the thick head against that glorious spot inside of her pussy. Moving up and down only inches, she chased the bright light of pleasure building inside of her. Body strung tight as a bow, shuddering she came in a hot rush that drenched his dick. Nolan watched her eyes as her body all but broke apart around him, gripping his dick in quaking spasms.

"Jesus Christ love, breathe." He said as her body finally let her gulp in air.

"Holy fucking hell Nolan." She gasped still trembling on top of him. "I don't think I can move anymore."

With a flirty wink Nolan held her to him, lifted up onto his knees and laid them down at the foot of the bed. Pushing up on his hands he looked down at her as he pulled his dick all the way out of her, and slid deliciously back into her pussy. "Drenched me baby."  All Caitlyn could so was arch her neck back and gasp with each surge of his hips, so lost in the way he was making her feel. He found a steady rhythm, slowly out, rocking quickly back in. She watched him look down at his body disappearing inside of hers, and the heat in his eyes nearly burned her. The pressure deep inside of her was ramping up again, and she reached her hands up around him. Whimpering with each slide of his dick inside of her she gripped his hips with her legs as they started shaking. Caitlyn scratched her nails down his back, her pussy pulsing rapidly around his dick. Slamming his hips down he groaned, "fuck", her orgasm pushing him violently into his own release.

Nolan collapsed on top of her, their bodies slick with sweat as his heart beat thundered against her chest. "That was...I've never..." Caitlyn struggled to think through the lazy bliss shrouding her brain.

"Came like that before? Ye always come hard, love. But ye damn near broke me dick off squeezing it so hard. It was fuckin' magnificent." He said into her neck, breathing heavily.

"Its always going to be this good between us isn't it?" Caitlyn asked.

Pulling himself up onto his elbows he held her eyes as he said, "I'll not ever get bored of being inside ye, Caitlyn. It'll never be a chore to me. It is the best I've ever had, every single time blows me mind. Amazing."

Riding the wave of pride inside of her she said, "it's not amazing Nol. Its definitely memorable, get it right." She leaned up and kissed his now smirking face.

"How could I forget?" He said chuckling as he buried his face in her neck.

"Nice album name by the way." She said as he rolled off of her, disconnecting their bodies.

"Since half of the album is about ye it only seemed right." He got up walking out the bedroom door into the living room of the large suite. He walked back in, looking better than any man had the right to, taking a long drink out of a bottle of water. Setting down next to her on the bed he handed the bottle over to her.

Caitlyn swallowed thirstily and handed it back to Nolan to put the cap on. "Half of it? Half of your album is about me?" She asked in disbelief.

"Mmmhhmmm." He said, his fingers tracing patterns on the skin of her thigh.

"Are all of them about me breaking your heart?" She asked a little worried.

"No. Wanna hear it? I've just got the final mix, I listened to it on the flight here." When she nodded her head he walked back out of the room, coming back in with his phone. Setting it on the nightstand he pulled the covers back. They spent an hour laying in bed listening to his songs. He was wrong, of the 14 tracks, 8 of them were about her, so over half. Only 3 of them were sad, and Caitlyn felt guilty hearing them. But the other 5 soothed the guilt. He sang an entire song about the way her eyes broke apart as he moved with her in the dark. If ever she doubted his feelings for her, this album was proof. In fact he was shouting it to the world loud and clear he was madly in love. The other songs didn't seem to be about personal experiences, just observations, or made up scenarios.

"It's just incredible Nol, even better than your other two, and that's saying a lot." She said cuddling against him propped up by a mountain of pillows.

"Thanks, love. I'm pretty proud of it meself." He said linking his fingers through hers and bringing it up to his mouth for a kiss.

"My kids thought I was pretty stupid for not recognizing you. Ya know." She confessed to him.

"Oh yeah? I actually really liked that ye didn't have a damn clue. That way I knew a hundred percent what was happening between us was genuine, and real." His thumb tracing along her knuckles. "When did ye figure it out?"

"When you sang And You Don't Know on the morning news. Dropped my coffee shattering the mug all over the floor. I called my Dad freaking out about the whole thing, by the way he is a huge fan too." She laughed.

"Is that so?" He laughed. "That gives me a leg up then. Yer Dad already likes me, takes some of the stress off. What about yer sons? Other than thinking ye should've recognized me of course." He asked chewing on his bottom lip.

Recognizing the nervous habit she traced her thumb along the lip before laying a kiss there. "Mason thinks the whole thing is cool. Wyatt said he just wants me happy, I guess I had them worried all summer. Although he did ask me to figure out when they get a chance to meet you." She said.

"I'll get Mags to email over my schedule. I'd like to meet them too. I plan on being around for ages." Nolan said before holding her chin, his eyes searching hers, and asked, "worried them how?"

Caitlyn took a deep breath and said, "honestly?" Nolan quirked an eyebrow up in response. "OK, I cried myself to sleep every night while wearing a shirt of yours. During the day I flung myself into my work because it was the only thing that eased the pain. I tried so damn hard to not show it, but everyone saw it anyway." She told him in a rush.

"Oh love." He pressed his forehead against hers. "Never again." She nodded her head. "I've a crazy job sometimes, so I'll not be the man that's able to hold ye every night while ye sleep. But I'll give ye everything I've got inside." He kissed her softly, and then she felt his lips curl up in a smile. "What shirt?" He asked as he rolled to her back. Caitlyn was laughing as she answered him, his mouth on a determined journey down her body.
