#Delete by Sandi Lynn (7)

Eloise

I finished off my second glass of champagne and took another as the waiter walked by. Christian arched his brow at me and then looked at his watch.

“You’ve been here thirty minutes and that’s your third glass of champagne.”

“Yeah. Well. It’s just so good.” I winked.

“Christian, can you come over here for a moment?” a young man asked as he held his hand up.

“I’ll be right back.” He smiled as he lightly touched my arm.

I looked around for Claire. Damn her for leaving me like this. Pulling my phone from my purse, I sent a text message to Natalie.

“You are never going to believe whose house I’m at.”

“Aren’t you at that party with Claire?”

“Yes. Do you know who her boss is?” I typed with rapid fingers.

“No, should I?”

“Christian Blake!”

“How do I know that name?”

“The guy from Hellcat Annie’s that bought me a drink and then asked for my phone number! The one you said to stay away from because he was a player and you could see me totally falling for him!”

“Oh shit! Omg! He’s her boss?”

“YES. We’ve been talking. He’s so fucking hot and seems really nice.”

“No, Eloise! #DELETE! I don’t want to see you go down that road again. Claire said herself he’s a serial dater. He’s the type that won’t commit to anyone. You’ll date a couple times, get your hopes up, he’ll stop texting or calling, you’ll get all pissed off and upset and then we’ll have to pick you up and put you back together again. Men like Christian Blake are notorious for that.”

“You’re right. But he’s showing interest.”

“Of course he is! You’re drop dead gorgeous, but I can guarantee you he only wants one thing and you know exactly what I’m talking about!”

“You’re right,” I replied with a sad emoji. “He’s coming back my way. I’ll talk to you later.”

I downed the rest of my champagne and that last gulp hit me. Why didn’t I eat before I came here?

He walked over to me with a panty-melting smile that sent a weakness to my knees.

“You drank that fast.” He grinned.

“It’s so good. I couldn’t help it.” I looked him up and down.

“Is something wrong?” he asked.

“No. Why?” I cocked my head.

“It’s just the way you looked at me.”

“You’re an incredibly attractive man. I’m sure all the women look at you like that.”

He stood there for a moment, his eyes burning into mine. He slowly brought his hand up and placed it on my cheek.

“And I think you are a very beautiful woman.”

I could feel the heat rise throughout my face. His hand was soft as silk, and his touch froze me in place.

“Thank you,” I muttered. “Could you please tell me where your bathroom is?”

“I’ll show you.” He smiled.

He grabbed hold of my hand and led me through the living room and down the hallway.

“Looks like someone is using it,” he spoke. “You can use the one upstairs.”

Still holding my hand, he led me up the stairs and to the first door on the left.

“Thank you.” My lips gave way to a small smile as I went into the bathroom and shut the door.

My body was tingling from head to toe. After washing my hands and looking at myself in the mirror, I took in a deep breath and opened the door, only to find Christian standing there waiting for me. Our eyes locked on each other’s and suddenly, his lips were pressed into mine. Soft, subtle, invigorating. I returned his kiss and then he looked at me. He leaned in for another and I willingly let him. His tongue met mine as our lips moved in sync. The hand that was softly placed on my cheek moved to the nape of my neck, intensifying the lip lock we were in. He slowly began pushing me back into the bathroom. Shit. We were going to have sex, and at this point, I didn’t care. The alcohol fucked with all my senses of what was right and what was wrong. This was definitely a wrong, but I was too deep into the feeling of his hands all over my body to care. He kicked the door shut with his foot and reached his hand back and locked it.

His fingers hooked around the thin straps to the dress I was wearing, and with ease, pushed them off my shoulders, letting my dress fall to the ground. My hands fumbled with the buttons on his shirt as the heated moment made my heart race with anticipation of seeing his naked body. With one hand, he unclasped my strapless bra with ease and tossed it to the side. His hands groped my breasts as our lips stayed locked together. Soft moans escaped both of us at the same time as his hand traveled down my torso and into my panties. The light sweep of his fingers across my wet zone made me gasp.

I fumbled with his belt as he slipped off my panties. Breaking our kiss, he took a step back and stared at me while he unbuttoned his pants and slid them off his hips. Holy shit, his body rocked in all the right places. Toned, muscular, perfect. His cock, long, big, but not too big, stood tall and proud in front of me. My heart raced at the speed of light as he removed his wallet from his pants and took out a condom. After rolling it on, his hands clasped my hips and he lifted me up on the counter. Our lips met again with pleasure and my hands roamed over his body. In one thrust, he was inside me, my pussy taking him in inch by inch. I threw my head back at the pleasure as his lips explored my neck. My legs wrapped tightly around him as he deepened himself inside me. His hips moved back and forth, while his cock hit every pleasure station. The buildup was coming and I found myself standing at the edge of a cliff waiting for the moment to take the leap into euphoria. I quietly moaned so no one would hear as did he while he thrust in and out of me. My orgasm erupted and his mouth smashed into mine to quiet the feral sounds that escaped me. Tightening my legs, my body released itself to him, giving up all the pleasure I had stored up inside me. He slowed down as groans erupted in his chest and he halted as he came, pushing deep inside as my nails dug into back.

He pulled out of me and disposed of the condom in the wastebasket. Hopping off the counter, I almost fell due to the intense shaking of my legs.

“Are you okay?” Christian asked as he lightly grabbed hold of my arm.

“I’m fine. Just a leg cramp.” I lightly smiled.

After putting on our clothes, he turned to me and placed his hand on my cheek.

“I want to see you again.” His thumb softly stroked my skin.

I needed to play it cool in front of him and it took every bit of post sex strength I had to remain composed.

“I’m thinking this is a one-time thing. We’d been drinking and it just happened. So, I think it’s best that we don’t see each other again.”

“You’re not serious,” he spoke.

“Oh, I am, Mr. Blake. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to leave. I’m sure Claire is looking for me.”

“Can I at least get your phone number?” he asked as I opened the bathroom door.

“No. I’m sorry. Like I said before, I’m not ready to date anyone right now.”

I walked out of the bathroom, practically hyperventilating, and scurried to the front door. Taking the elevator down to the lobby, I ran out as fast as I could. Once the fresh crisp air hit my lungs, I leaned against the brick wall and placed my hands on my head. I had never done what I just did. I’d never slept with a man I didn’t know and I’d never had a one-night stand. All kinds of feelings and emotions were coursing through my body. For fuck sake, why did he have to be so sexy and superb at sex? Sex was what he was after and I willingly gave in to him. How stupid could I be? Shaking my head, I pulled my phone from my purse and sent a text message to Claire.

“Hey, I’m not feeling well, so I’m going to go home.”

“What’s wrong?”

“I feel nausea and I have a headache. It hit me out of nowhere. Talk tomorrow?”

“Of course. Feel better. If you need anything, call me.”

I walked down the street and hailed a cab home. I felt this overwhelming need to text Mobile Man.

“Hi. I’m having a bad night.”

“You and me both. You okay?”

“Yeah. I’m fine. Just one of those nights where everything seems to go wrong.”

“Funny you should say that because I feel the same way,” he replied. “I’ll text you later. I’m in the middle of something. Okay?”

“Okay. Catch ya later!”

“Catch ya later, Digits!”

As soon as the cab pulled up to my building, I handed the driver some cash and climbed out. Instead of going inside and up to my apartment, I walked around the block to Didjo’s, a popular bar where I’d go and sit when I needed to think.

“Hey, Eloise.” Charlie smiled as he set a napkin down in front of me. “Usual?”

“Hi, Charlie. Yes, please.”

He perfectly made my cosmopolitan and set it down. Picking up the glass, I took a large sip.

“You okay?” he asked. “You seem off tonight.”

“Sure. If you call having sex with a total stranger in his bathroom and then running out like a frightened child okay, then I am.”

He chuckled.

“Ah. I see. The good old walk of shame.”

“I’d never done the walk of shame before.” I finished off my drink. “Another, please.”

“Chalk it up to a life experience. Everyone has to do it at least once in their lifetime,” he spoke as he made me another cosmopolitan. “No big deal.”

I stared at him. He was cute. I mean, I always knew he was cute, but the sudden urge to ask him questions about women jolted through me.

“How old are you, Charlie?” I asked.

“Twenty-eight.” He set my drink down in front of me.

“I’m sure you have a lot of experience with women. Right?”

“Sure. I’d say so.” He smiled as he wiped down the counter.

“Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?”

“Go right ahead.”
