Six months later and so many things had changed in my life.  The first of which was the move.  Turns out, there is a castle on the border of Andalia and Breynia which, in ancient times, had been used to settle disputes between the two kingdoms.  Both sets of parents agreed that we should live in the castle and that it should be a symbol of unity between the two countries.

Since Andalia and Breynia were both very small, the kings decided to have an open borders policy with its neighbor.  This fostered trade and work between them as if they were one country.  This was exciting news to the populace because it meant that any tariffs or taxes or permits needed between the two countries would be lifted.  Within a month it cause a great boon to the economy, which further bolstered the people’s acceptance of our relationship.

The baby was born, and we named him James.  Apparently, it was an old name in the long history of Andalia, at least according to Dominique.  Prince James was healthy and happy.  He had his father’s eyes and his smile.

Dominique’s father was, at first, reluctant to approve of a wedding.  He urged us to keep our relationship a secret, but Dominique would have none of it.  Eventually, he relented and even changed Andalia’s laws so we could be married legally.  Breynia did the same, thanks to Byron, although his parents were more than supportive.  They were just happy he wasn’t driving around Europe drunk!

Naomi and her family came out to visit and see the baby.

“There she is!” she greeted upon finding me in the nursery.

I gestured for her to keep it down.  The little prince was sleeping.

“Oh, congratulations!” she whispered.  “I’m so happy for you girl.  He’s such a cutie.  How are you feeling?”

We walked a few steps away from the basinet so we could talk.

“Tired, but I’m good,” I explained.  “James was an easy delivery, but it still took a lot out of me.”

“You’re lucky, my little Thomas had me locked up for ten hours,” remembered Naomi.  “But then the second kid just plopped right out of me.”

“Thanks for coming all this way.”

“Are you kidding?” she said.  “This place is fantastic!  Who doesn’t want to go to Southern Europe for a couple of weeks?  And this palace.  Are you telling me this was an nursery?  I mean that it was built specifically for a baby.”

I nodded.  It was where they used to bring Dominique.

“My God,” she gasped.  “It’s as big as a dancing hall!  How is a baby supposed to need all this room?  The ceiling’s so high, it could have its own weather forecast.”

“We need it for all the presents,” I said, gesturing to an enormous pile of gifts.

It was my next project; to write thank you notes to the hundreds of people who had sent the little prince a gift.  The Royal Families had friends in most countries.  Dignitaries from all over the world came to this part of Europe for the tourism.  Add that to the fact that I (and really the princes too) were celebrities---  I was going to be busy for several weeks writing thank you notes.

“Hey, are you still doing that seductress movie?” she asked. 

“Yes, we start shooting next week,” I said.  “Then the wedding as soon as production wraps.”

“Well, that sounds like it’s going to be hectic,” said Naomi.  “I limped around for a month after Thomas was born.  Forget about going back to work.”

“I do what I love,” I said.  “I can’t wait to get back and do some real acting in front of the camera.  It’s been so long.”

“Don’t push yourself, babe,” said Naomi.  “You got the world by the balls.  They can reschedule if they have to.  And speaking of balls, whatever happened to that movie with Travis?”

“The studio pulled the funding,” I said.  “Guess he pushed a little too hard to get me off the picture.  Who cares?  I really didn’t want to do that movie and he was such an uncooperative dick!”

Naomi and I laughed.  I was glad to have one of my friends around from Los Angeles.  It seemed like ages since I had been back.  I was happy where I was, but I was grounded back in the United States.  In Andalia and Breynia, I was known as “The Princes’ Bride.”  (They had never seen the movie here.)  I couldn’t leave the castle without bodyguards and servants or else I’d get mobbed in the marketplace.  The people here were extremely friendly and generous to me.  I felt I owed it to them to make sure they were happy too.

“Honey, now that I’m here, I have to ask,” said Naomi.  “What’s it like being with two guys at once?”

“Naomi, it’s indescribable,” I said, remembering fondly.  “You know me, I slept with some really handsome guys.  You know, in L.A. you throw a stick and you’ll hit a Brad Pitt lookalike.”

“So the two of them just share you?” she asked.  “And they don’t fight with each other?”

“There was some jealousy at first,” I said.  “But then we all went away on this island and worked it out.  There was a little drama, but it’s a relationship.  When isn’t there some drama, ya know?”
“I just can’t imagine it,” she said.  “Well, I can, I just don’t know if I could handle it.  I mean, two guys at once.  And then, in bed---  Holy shit, what’s that like?”

I blushed.  It had been awhile since the princes and I had quality time together.  We had had a ton of sex leading up to James’ birth, but I was starting to miss it.  It was a good thing I had a movie to throw myself into for a while.  I could recover and by the time it was over, we could get it back on again.

“Naomi, I wish you could experience it,” I said.  “I am spoiled for just one man now.  Without two cocks, it’s nothing to me.”

We giggled like schoolgirls.  Normally, I’d be horribly embarrassed to discuss this kind of thing, but it was Naomi.  Plus, I had been around the block, as they say.  This was Europe.  People here weren’t so hung up on sex.  Our relationship was a bit unusual but not that unusual.

I looked around to make sure no one else was in the room.  The last thing I needed was to have the servants overhear us and gossip it around town.

“Naomi, I’ll tell you, but you have to swear to keep this to yourself, okay?” I said.

“Sure-sure,” she promised.  “Swear to God.”

“Really?!” she squeaked and laughed.

Naomi was laughing a bit too loud, but she put her hand over her reddening face and stifled the noise.

“Madames,” he said.  “There is a gathering in the dining room and your presence is requested and that of the young prince.”

“I’ll meet you down there, I’m going to get James,” I said.

Naomi went downstairs, and I put James in his stroller.  I took the embassy elevator.  Stairs were still kind of uncomfortable for me.  When I got inside the dining room, everyone applauded. 

“His new royal majesty, Prince James!” announced a servant.

The grandparents were beaming and waving to the little baby, as were his fathers.  There was talk of the two kingdoms coming together in one big family.  James wouldn’t just be the king of one country, he would be the king of both. 

Whoever he turned out to be, he’d always be my little prince.
