As soon as Shannon walked everyone out, Ryan went to work on cleaning up. He didn’t need to, but he didn’t want Shannon to deal with it either.

And it would give him a little time to get used to his surroundings. He hadn’t been sure what to expect of Shannon’s home, but it wasn’t what he found. Sleek, modern, and still comfortable.

And he hadn’t had a chance to see anything but the living room, kitchen, and dining room with the open floorplan. There was a hall with several doors. He assumed a couple bedrooms, a bathroom, maybe an office.

He slid the last dish into the dishwasher as Shannon walked in and locked up. He moved to the kitchen with a cocked brow. “What are you doing?”

“Dishes.” He winked, looped his finger through Shannon’s belt buckle and pulled him closer. “Least I could do.”

O’Neil wrapped one hand around his hip as he turned Ryan until he was pressed against the counter. “Need me that bad?”

Ryan slipped his hand between them to cup O’Neil’s hard length. “As bad as you need me.”

“All night, I’ve been watching you smile and laugh, when really, all I wanted to do was make you scream my name.”

“You’re good at that. But you did invite me to meet your friends.”

“Whom you seem to enjoy.”

“I do.” Ryan looked around before settling his gaze on O’Neil. He was happy to be there, with Shannon, meeting the people he was closest to. “Thank you, for bringing me into your world.”

“Thanks for sneaking out for it.” He laughed. “I enjoyed your company.”

“You’re going to enjoy a lot more in a few minutes,” Ryan promised. He worked Shannon’s pants open and reached in to grip Shannon’s cock.

He moaned low in his throat. “Wanted to show you the rest of the condo. Then take you in the bedroom.”

“I’m still hungry.” Ryan spun Shannon and dropped to his knees, yanking the jeans down his hips.

He snorted. “A few times. I like hearing it from you, though.”

Shannon licked his lips as he closed the door. Ryan moved closer, wrapped his hand around the back of Shannon’s neck, and took a brutal kiss.

Shannon grabbed his ass and ground their erections together.

Ryan hissed, spinning Shannon toward the wall as he pressed in behind him. “I need you so damned bad.”

“Don’t have to ask,” Shannon promised.

He pulled Shannon toward the bed and fell down with a sigh.

Shannon joined him and pulled him closer, trailing his fingers up his side.

After a long moment, Shannon asked, “How’s your brother doing?”

“So much better. Things are working out with Aubrey.”

“Is she coming Sunday?”

He nodded. “She is. You can decide if she can know about us,” Ryan answered.

“You trust my judgment?”

“Yeah, I do. Figure your past occupation would teach you what you needed to know about most people.” He climbed from the bed to deal with the condom. “I don’t want to hide this from those we choose to hang out with. I don’t want to feel like we have to hide from everyone.”

“You constantly surprise me, Ryan.”

Ryan climbed back beside Shannon and looked into his eyes. “In a good way?”

“All the best ways. Down to earth, take your friendships and family seriously, you aren’t seeking the spotlight. I don’t know how you do it.”

Ryan sighed. “I love acting. I love portraying new roles. I do like the red carpet as long as they don’t delve into my private life.”

“But they always try, don’t they?”

“They usually stop without a hassle. Most of the time, I can distract them from their topic of interest.”

“You seem to slide under the radar when you want to.”

“Yeah, I don’t know why I manage, and Raven can’t.”

“You’re lucky. And maybe because she’s more clearly nervous when she spots them than you are.”

Ryan tipped his head from side to side. “She hides more than I do.”

“Don’t tell me she’s bi. I saw how cozy she got with Rocco Snyder at that club,” O’Neil said.

“Nope. She’s afraid her past will come back to haunt her, before Hollywood, but that isn’t my story to tell.”

“Why would it haunt her? If there is anything you can say without giving it away.”

Ryan sighed. “She believes she’s the reason something bad happened to someone who creeped her out. And that’s as much as I will say.”

“Maybe she’ll open up, the more she sees us together.”

“Possible, but don’t count on it. She talks to me because she thinks of me like a brother.”

“Yeah, so you’ve said, and I’ve seen. And I have to say that’s a relief.”

“Can I ask you something, Shannon?” Ryan said.

He nodded.

“Why don’t you care about what I felt for Luke for so long?”

“You don’t have a romantic history with him. If you had one with Raven, I might worry, especially with as much as you two seem to work together. And if you had real history with Luke, yeah, I’d worry then.”

He shook his head. “Nothing to worry about.”

“Can I ask my own question?” Shannon said.

Ryan nodded.

“If you run into Max?”

Ryan snorted. “I’m done with him. I dated him for a couple years, but he couldn’t handle long-distance. If I’m with someone, I’m only with that person. I don’t fuck around. He did. I dumped him.”

“But you were still fucking him until just before you met me.”

Ryan sighed. “Yeah, well, it’s hard to find someone to take home who will keep my secret. So, sometimes, when I had an itch to scratch, I did go to him. But like I said, if I’m with someone, I’m not fucking around with anyone else.”

Shannon pulled Ryan’s chin back to look into his eyes. “Relax. I had to ask. I trust you, though.”

“Thanks. While I’m away from you, I’ll video call if you’ll let me. Otherwise I’ll get a flesh socket or something.”

Shannon laughed. “Have you used one?”

Ryan smirked. “Not yet. But I’m willing to try new things.”

“You amaze me, Ryan King.” Shannon brushed his lips over Ryan’s, then sucked his bottom lip into his mouth.
