The Pine Forest by Michelle Dare (21)

Oliver

I still can’t believe Addison is here with me in my kingdom and my bed. After making love to her on my table, couch, and up against the wall, we came upstairs to bed. We paused momentarily to scrounge for food, luckily I had some things here which were edible and enough for a small dinner.

With the damask pulled shut, the moonlight is blocked out and we are bathed in darkness. Addi is asleep on my chest. While my body says sleep, my mind has decided to think about everything and anything.

My fingers play with her silky hair as I try and work out in my head where we go from here. I’m not going to like saying goodbye to her, not at all. With her in my bed, it feels right. Who am I kidding? It’s felt right from the first time we touched. I know what I want, the question is does she want the same?

Addi rolls to her side, away from me. I take a moment to stretch before moving to my side and curling my body around hers. With my face buried in her neck, I inhale her sweet smell. I want it coating my skin, and in the very fabric of my sheets. I want her surrounding me when she can’t be here.

I reach an arm around her waist and lightly trail my fingers over her stomach. I can’t get over how soft her skin is. Touching her is a luxury; one she has afforded me.

“I thought you said we should rest,” she mumbles sleepily.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“How can I sleep with you pressed against my back, heating me in delicious ways?”

My voice drops to a whisper. “I don’t want you to leave.” I know by voicing my concerns, I’m making myself vulnerable, but I want her to know how I feel.

She turns in my arms to face me. Her hand reaches up to caress my short beard. “I don’t want to go.”

“Stay with me.”

“Oliver, I don’t live here.”

“No, but you can.”

“You’re asking me to move here? With you?”

“Addi, I love you. I’ve been in love with you for a while now. I don’t want to be apart from you. I want you here with me, always.”

In the dark, I can’t see her face. I do hear her sniffle and her voice cracks when she speaks. “I love you, too.” She wipes her eyes.

I kiss each cheek. “I never expected to fall for you as fast and as hard as I have. You are everything to me.”

“What do I tell them?”

“Tell who?”

“My parents.”

“You’re a grown woman, Addison. You make your own decisions. But I wouldn’t want you to make one you’re not comfortable with.” Doubt begins to seep in. “If you don’t want to move here, I’ll understand. I don’t want to push you.”

She rushes to say, “It’s not that at all. I do want to be here with you. I’ve never wanted anything more. I just don’t want to cause any problems. It’s not like we’re engaged or anything.” There’s a hint of humor in her voice.

“I’d marry you tomorrow if I wasn’t worried about your father coming for me.”

She laughs. “He’d definitely have something to say if we got married without a big ceremony and you never properly asking for my hand.”

“Hmmm…definitely something to think about.”

She gasps. “You can’t be serious!”

“Where you’re concerned, I never joke.”

“But marriage? We just…and yesterday…”

“It all comes down to us loving each other, Addison. We are already united in mind, body, and soul. You feel it as much as I do every time I slide inside of you.” I grind my now hardened length against her stomach, causing her to let out a low moan.

“You drive me wild, Sage.”

I grip her thigh and lift her leg over my hip. Once I test to make sure she’s wet for me, I thrust into her. My body melts into hers and our bond thrums through me, making me feel like I can do anything.

“You’re mine, Princess.” I push into her again and again. “I will love and cherish you all of my days. Never forget that.”

“Yes, I’m yours,” she pants out.

Rolling to my back, I bring her on top of me. She sits up and begins to ride me. My fingers dig into her hips with each movement. She’s got me so wrapped up in her. I would do anything to ensure her happiness. I would give my life for hers.

She leans forward, her palms firmly plant on my chest. “I’m close.” I reach in between us and begin to rub her in small circles. “Don’t stop. So good.”

I can feel her start to clench down on my dick. “Let go, love.”

She does. Her body trembles as her nails sink into my chest. Her cries are loud, and I can only hope everyone in the kingdom hears her calling out my name. I want them to know that this woman is mine, and I’m the one who drove her to such bliss.

As soon as she begins to relax, I flip her over and lean back. With her thighs in my hands, I lift her hips and begin to drive into her at a furious pace. “No one else will ever give you pleasure like this. Only me. I’m your knight, Addison. I’m the one whose name you scream in bed.”

I slam into her a few more times and release everything I have: all of my love, passion, and desire to be only with her. I’ve craved her for so long and now it’s a dream come true to have her. She slays me with her beauty, amazes me with her mind, and humbles me with her love.

Collapsing onto the bed beside her, I take a moment to collect myself. The feelings I have for her are overwhelming. My heart constricts at the thought of her leaving to return home.

She grips the back of my head and crashes her lips to mine. Our tongues stroke one another, then she pulls back slightly to bring my lower lip between her teeth. “I heard it all,” she states, as she kisses the corner of my mouth down to my jaw. I’m glad she got to hear what I was thinking. She deserves to know how I really feel. “I love you so much it scares me,” she admits. “I’ve never had feelings like this before. In the course of months, you’ve become my entire world. I don’t care what I have to do, I will be back to stay with you, Oliver. For good.”

I thrust into her, my length beginning to harden again. “I want you to hear everything. If I can’t say it, you’ll know my thoughts. My heart is yours.”

The barrage of feelings I’m having are racing through my mind at a speed I can’t comprehend. It’s like every moment in my entire life has happened to lead me to this point in time. Like I was made for her and her alone. I know what I must do now.

We wake in the morning in a tangle of limbs. Even with the enormous bed I have, we spent the entire night lost in one another, never with more than a tiny fraction of space between us. She stirs in my arms as I sweep my leg out to push the damask open. Sunlight streams in as does the crispness of the morning air.

Addi stretches before climbing out of bed to use the bathroom. I take the opportunity to stand and stretch as well. It feels good to work out my tired muscles. They sure were used a lot during the night. I had her every way imaginable and then some.

She emerges from the bathroom as bare as she was when she went in, but it’s in the light of day that I take a moment to look her over. Strong, slender legs, curvaceous hips, narrow waist, and supple breasts, she’s stunning.

“Put your tongue away, Sage,” she jokes as she walks toward me.

I sweep her up in my arms. “What if I want to put it to good use?”

“Well, in that case I might tell you to leave it out.”

She laughs when I inch my fingers up and down her sides tickling her. “Stop it, Sage, or I’ll pee on you.” Immediately I stop my assault. She looks at me then bursts out laughing again. “Did you think I was serious?” I remain stone-faced, not sure if she is joking with me or not. She bends over in a fit of giggles. When she’s able to catch her breath, she stands and smacks me on the chest. “Lighten up, big boy. Stop being so serious.”

I roll my eyes. “I have no idea how to take you sometimes.”

“Now you have something to work on—figuring me out.”

“That could take years.”

“Then so be it.”

My eyes bore into hers. Years. I like the sound of that. It means she’s not going anywhere.

“I told you I wasn’t.”

I groan. “I didn’t mean to tell you that.”

“See! It’s not so fun when you don’t mean to send it.”

“Whatever. You can hear all of my thoughts. Most of them are very dirty where you’re concerned. Consider yourself warned.”

She leans into me, her hands splayed on my chest. “Mmmm, I like the sound of that.”

With a quick press of my lips to hers, I stand back and swat her on the ass. “Get dressed. You need to be fed before that stomach of yours starts growling.”

“It already has, but you didn’t hear it.”

I find a clean pair of black pants and a long-sleeved hunter green shirt, which I roll the sleeves up on. While Addi is getting dressed, I step into the bathroom to brush my teeth and rake a comb through my unruly hair. She must have been tugging on it pretty good throughout the night. It’s standing on end and pointing every which way.

She steps up behind me and takes the comb from me to fix the back. “I kind of like you with this mussed up look, but if we’re having breakfast with Reid, then I think it needs to be flattened down some.” She wets the comb and styles my hair for me.

I glance at her over my shoulder. “Thanks, love.”

“Anytime.” She rummages through the cabinet under the sink to find a brush. She works out the knots in her hair. When she is all done, her chestnut locks lie over her shoulders in gorgeous subtle waves.

“I like your hair like this,” I say, as I pick up a piece and let my fingers drag through it.

“I’m not in the mood to fix it how I like, so for now it’s as good as it’s going to get.”

“Do you know how beautiful you are?”

She shrugs. “I try to look decent, but I don’t go out of my way to look nice all the time.”

“What you just said is why you’re so beautiful. You don’t have to try and impress anyone. You’re true to yourself. You have natural beauty, Addison. Inside and out.”
