To Live Again by L. A. Witt (28)

Chapter Twenty-Eight

We must’ve stood there for hours, holding on and letting that kiss last and last. Eventually, though, we had to come up for air.

I broke the kiss and touched my forehead to his. “I missed you.”

“Me too.” He held the back of my hand, fingers twitching against my skin. “I’m sorry. You know I didn’t want to hurt you.”

I nodded. “I know. I never doubted that for a minute.” I ran my thumb along his cheekbone. “Maybe it’s what I needed, though. To make me really dig in and think about this.”

“Still.” He combed his fingers through my hair. “It was never about whether or not I wanted to be with you. I just… I’m scared to death of this. I know how rebounds and first times can both end in disaster.”

“There’s still a chance this could end in disaster.” I smoothed his hair. Drawing back a little, I met his gaze. “But the way it feels now…kind of seems like it’s worth the risk.”

Sailo nodded, a smile slowly forming on his lips. “Yeah. It does.” He pulled me back in and, just before our lips met, murmured, “I love you.” Then he claimed my mouth in a deep kiss. Holding me tight, he pushed my lips apart and slipped his tongue underneath mine, and I had to lean into him just to keep myself on my feet.

When he broke that kiss, I was out of breath and, Jesus, already trembling.

“I love you too,” I whispered.

“I don’t have much time,” he whispered. “But I…I don’t want to let you go.”

Like nothing else that had been said tonight, those words almost knocked my knees out from under me. As he kissed me again, holding on as tight as I did, it was hard to believe we were here. That we were back in the exact place where things had started between us. Just a few feet from where we were standing now, he’d dropped to his knees and given me a blowjob I’d never forget. A few feet in the other direction, I’d frantically done the same for him.

And now, somehow, we were here again, and he wasn’t leaving.

He guided me back a few steps. My calves hit a booth seat, and he didn’t stop. He leaned into me, and together we sank onto the plush leather cushion.

As he kissed my neck, I bit my lip, struggling not to come unglued. Jesus, I hadn’t touched him since we’d split up, and now it was like the first time all over again—overwhelming, familiar and yet completely new.

I stroked his hair. “You’re gonna…be late for your show.”

“They can wait,” he panted against my neck. “They’ll dance to anything.”

“But you—”

His hand slid over my very hard cock. “They can wait,” he said again. “Right now, I need you.”

“Likewise.” I closed my eyes, groaning softly.

“God, I wish we were at home,” he murmured. “So I could strip you down and fuck you.”

I moaned, holding him tighter.

“Later tonight.” He ground his cock against me. “My place.”

“Yes, please.”

He pinned me to the bench and rubbed against me. “Definitely not letting you go without getting you off, though.”

I bit back a moan. “Didn’t you say one of your coworkers busted a table in here having makeup sex?”

“Mmhmm,” he said against my neck. “But unless you’ve got condoms with you…”

“Damn it.”

“S’okay.” He nipped just above my collar. “I can…I can work with what we’ve got.”

Before I could ask what he had in mind, his hand was between us, and he was drawing down my zipper. I couldn’t speak, so nudged him gently with my shoulder until he lifted his head, and in the same instant, I kissed him, and he wrapped his fingers around my cock.

Holding his shoulder with one hand for balance, I rubbed him through his pants with the other. God knew who moaned—both of us, maybe? I was too turned on to tell Sailo’s voice from mine, and way too turned on to care.

“I’ve got an idea,” he said.

“Hmm?”

“Get on top.” He gestured at the bench we were sitting on. “I’ll lie on my back, and you turn around the other way.”

It took a second to make sense of what he’d requested, but as we shifted around, I figured out what he was getting at. Although the space between the table and the back of the bench was narrow, there was just enough room for him to lie on his back and for me to get on top on all fours, and as I took his hard dick between my lips, he did the same with mine.

Good God. What if someone saw this? A quickie blowjob was one thing, but…this?

Sailo didn’t seem to worry, though, so I didn’t protest. I kept my hips perfectly still so I wouldn’t choke him. Besides, he was doing just fine, lifting his head and taking me impossibly far into his mouth, slowly letting me slide out between his lips, and then taking me again. With his talented lips and tongue working at my cock, I could barely concentrate on returning the favor. I tried, though, bobbing my head over his cock and stroking it with my free hand, and judging by the way he moaned and dug his fingers into my thigh, he was enjoying it.

Somehow, we fell into a rhythm together, teasing each other in perfect sync. I stopped caring if anyone might walk through that door and catch us. Let them. Let everyone in the club show up and see me sixty-nining with Sailo like we had all night to turn each other inside out. I didn’t care who caught us. All I cared about was making him feel as amazing as he was making me feel.

I want to make you feel like this every night.

I want to feel like this every night.

I want the way you make me feel. Always.

Then something…changed. The rhythm didn’t fall apart, but there was a new sense of urgency. A franticness that wasn’t there before. We swallowed each other deeper, stroked each other harder. My breath came in rapid, uneven gasps as his rushed across my skin in sharp, hot huffs. The urge to thrust into his mouth was almost irresistible. It must’ve been mutual, too—he lifted his hips slightly, pushing himself deeper into my throat, and I took him because God, yes, I loved hearing and feeling and tasting him as he came apart. As I came apart.

He whimpered softly, his voice reverberating against my cock, and my whole body was trembling, electrified, ready to fall to pieces, and I groaned too. I had no idea whose orgasm started first, only that I couldn’t have stopped if I’d wanted to; in the same instant, I shuddered violently and his semen filled my mouth.

And just like that, we were still. Silent. Breathing hard, each with a hand resting on the other’s leg as the spinning room slowed around us.

When I was sure I wouldn’t black out, I carefully sat up on my knees. We shifted around again, straightening our clothes and hair, and rose, our legs unsteady enough that we both had to lean on the table for a few seconds.

Eyes glazed and tan cheeks flushed, he met my gaze and grinned. He cupped my face with a shaking hand. “I’m so glad you came back.”

“Me too.” I kissed him softly. “I’m sorry. It—”

Sailo cut me off with a gentle kiss. “Don’t. You’ve already explained yourself.” Our lips brushed as he whispered, “I love you.” The words may as well have been an incantation that let him relax completely, and he melted against me, holding on as he released a long breath. Barely whispering, he said, “God, I really do love you.”

“I love you too.”

He touched his forehead to mine. “And I’m so not finished with you tonight.”

“Good. Meet me at my apartment when you’re off?”

Drawing back, he licked his lips. “My show’s over at midnight. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

I kissed him softly and whispered, “You might as well plan on staying the night.”

“I love the sound of that.” He cupped my face in both hands and kissed me softly. “I have to go for now, though.”

“I know.”

“But I’ll see you soon?”

I grinned. “Definitely.”

One more kiss, one more long look, and then we left the VIP lounge and walked downstairs together.

Beneath the exit dividing the back hallway from the rest of the club, we stopped.

I put a hand on his waist. “See you after your show.”

“I’ll be there as soon as I can.” He grinned. “And when I get there, I’m planning on fucking you until you can’t move, so I want you ready for me.”

I shivered so hard, my toes curled inside my shoes. “I will be.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

“Good.” He kissed me one last time, letting it linger for a moment.

Then he really had to go, so we separated. He continued toward the door I’d been leaning on the night we’d crashed into each other, and I paused, watching him go.

This time, it didn’t hurt to watch him leave.

Because later tonight, he’d be in my bed, in my arms.

And deep down, I knew that was where he’d stay.
