December 3, 7:00 a.m.
I roll over in bed to see his side empty, and memories of last night come flooding back. Mr. Beefcake, that’s what I call him, rocked my world all night long. He made me forget the horror of the last year, and the little sleep I got was peaceful, for once.
Beefcake and I don’t know each other’s names and we’re OK with that. Anonymity is best.
I wasn’t looking for a one-night stand when I went to Cheeser’s bar last night. I just wanted to have a couple drinks after my long drive from New York. But when Beefcake bought me a couple drinks and I got a good long look at the sexy beast sitting next to me, all bets were off.
Needing to shower, I crawl out of bed, wincing at the soreness both between my legs as well as my head. Drinking four boilermakers was probably not the best idea I’ve ever had. But certainly not as bad as defending a guilty man I believed innocent.
The bathroom in my motel room isn’t very big but Beefcake and I made it work when we showered together three hours ago. He took me back to bed after, and dirtied me up again.
I need to get myself together before I tell my sister Nicole I’m in town. The hot water rolls down my body, soothing the aches. I can’t believe I submitted to a stranger I picked up in a bar. Christ, Alex, you don’t do that shit. Ever. I’m the one used to being in control. But Beefcake had me on my knees before I knew what I was doing. No, he didn’t force me. I can tell he’s not an asshole or a sexual predator. What he is, is a freaking hot inked badass who craves control, and I let him have it.
He was definitely a mix of gentle and rough. One minute, he’s lifting my chin to meet his eyes, the next, he’s thrusting into me with his pierced dick. Yep, that’s right. Beefcake had an apadravya piercing. I’ve never felt one until last night, and now I’m not sure I’ll ever be satisfied without one. It may have to be a requirement in the future.
OK, enough about Beefcake. We had incredible sex. It’s over, time to get my shit straight. As I get out of the shower, I hear my phone beep. Pretty sure it’s my sister wanting to know where I am.
Dressing quickly, I glance at the message.
Nic: If you are on the road, don’t text back. Just wanted to know where you are.
Time to fess up.
Me: I’m here. Got in late last night. Didn’t want to bother you or Daniel, so I stayed at a motel.
Five seconds later, my phone rings. I’m not shocked.
“Hey sissy,” I say with a happy voice, hoping to fend off any attitude from her.
“I can’t freaking believe you got to Florida last night and didn’t tell me. We have room for you at my place. You didn’t need to stay at a motel, Alex.”
She’s pissed.
Between the two of us, I’m the one with the mouth. Nic is a kindergarten teacher, a good and genuine person. Me? Well, I’m genuine too, but in an “in your face” kinda way. I’m not a bitch unless I have to be. I’m more of a “tell it like it is with a smile on my face” girl.
“Sorry, Nic. I just wanted to relax after the long drive.” I wince because I didn’t really relax until Beefcake gave me my third orgasm of the night.
She blows out a sigh. “I’m sorry, Alex. I know life’s been rough and I don’t need to add to it. I’m just glad you’re finally here and we can start our lives together in Florida.”
“Me too. Let me finish getting ready and I’ll be on my way over.”
“All right, but I’m going to make you a big breakfast, so hurry up.”
“OK, love you, Nic.”
“Love you more.”
Hanging up, I feel a sense of guilt for lying to her. If she found out what I did last night, she’d probably have me committed.
It doesn’t take long to dry my hair since I cut it short and dyed it. After my life went to hell, I needed a change. A new me. So now, I’m no longer a brunette with long hair, but a platinum blonde with an undercut pixie. The right side of my head is shaved close but the rest of my hair is longer. Nic is going to shit when she sees it.
Packing up doesn’t take more than five minutes, then I’m on the road to Nic’s house, just three miles down the road. Daniel and his daughter Lucy moved in with my sister in October. I met Daniel last year when he flew up to spend New Year’s Eve with Nic. He’s a great guy and loves my sister.
Nic hasn’t had an easy life. After she was diagnosed with cancer years ago, her fiancé left her because she can’t have children. Thank God he did because she never would’ve left New York and met Daniel.
I should’ve taken the scenic route because I arrive at Nic’s house much too quickly, and I’m not sure I’m ready to see her. I love her to pieces but she’s going to want to know how I’m doing. Problem is I’m not sure how to answer her.
