Double Brother Trouble by Katerina Cole (7)

Claire

My head was dizzy and I’d only had one sip of beer.

“Wow. This is some bonfire.”

Nash held me against his solid body. It was lean and muscular. He was built differently than Caleb, but equally as sexy and hot. I wondered what his kisses would feel like.

He grinned. Between the two, it felt as if he was the womanizer. The one with the playful exterior while Caleb seemed rougher and harder to get to know.

When he asked to go back to the cabin, I had almost melted in his arms. I wanted more of what we started at the barn.

I knew it was unprofessional, but something in me was cracking. Something about this place and these two men made me want to start breaking rules and boundaries. I didn’t know if I could explain it. I wanted to know what one of Nash’s kisses felt like. But I also wanted Caleb to take me back to the cabin, even if we only made it to first base again.

“You’re cute. You know that?” Nash had a fire in his eyes that was hard to resist.

“I’m not going to quote you in the article as saying that.” I winked. What was getting into me? I was openly flirting with two men. Who was I right now?

“You can. It’s true. Quote me all you want.”

He spun me under his arm and caught me quickly. I gasped at how athletic and agile he was with my body.

I blushed. “You and your brother are something.”

“Step-brother,” he corrected.

“I’m sorry. I keep making that mistake.”

“It’s ok. You’ll realize we are very different kind of men.” He flashed a killer smile and I was certain I had soaked my panties.

“You each bring different skills to the ranch?” I asked.

“We do. It works as a team Yin and Yang, or some kind of shit like that.”

I almost lost my breath when he flipped me over his arm. Nash was all over the place.

“I-I’d like to talk to you about how you work together to run the ranch. Maybe a small personality profile on each of you,” I suggested.

“Sure. I’m good with that, but Caleb doesn’t like reporters.”

It stung the way he said it. I had just agreed to take him back to my cabin. I’m sure it wasn’t entirely true.

“Well, maybe you could help me get him to agree to the article.”

“I can do that for you. No problem.”

The last notes of the song played. Nash brought my fingertips to his lips. It sent a shiver along my arm and down my spine.

“What do you say you and I take a walk?” he asked.

Shit. This was going to be awkward. Was there a way to be two places at once? Why couldn’t I have met them at different times? Why did I have to choose which one to spend time with?

“Oh I…”

“There you are.” Caleb walked up beside us. “Ready, darlin’?”

Holy shit. I wasn’t sure if I was witnessing a pissing contest or just a plain territory war. Both men puffed out their chests. I knew they were both aware they were trying to win me over. Was this a fantasy or a nightmare?

“Whoa. Whoa,” Nash protested. “Claire and I are headed out for a walk.”

“No. We’re headed to get some drinks at her place,” Caleb argued.

“I don’t think so, brother.” Nash’s eyes narrowed.

“What the hell are you talking about? We have plans.”

I felt the chaos descending on all three of us. I could barely think straight. I knew I didn’t want them to break out in fight here. Not in front of the entire ranch. The kids from the horseback ride were just on the other side of the raging fire.

“Stop,” I hissed. “You two follow me now.”

I didn’t know where I found the strength, or why they listened, but the two men were on my heels as I marched back to the cabin.

I stopped on the front porch and turned to face them. The slivers of light from the window fell across their faces. Beautiful. Golden. Rugged faces.

“You brought us here, now what?” Nash asked.

I put my hands on my hips. “I have no idea. I just didn’t want you two to get in a fight. You’re brothers.”

“We’re not…”

I held up my hand. “Step-brothers. I get it. Sorry.”

Caleb rubbed his jaw. “Look, I’m sorry if we let things get out of hand at the party. I think it’s clear we both think you’re beautiful. And we both wanted to make plans with you tonight. Right, Nash?”

“I wanted her to myself, but yeah. What he said.”

I felt a strange river of satisfaction run through me.

“I’ve honestly never been in this position before.” I blinked at them. “I guess the best thing would be for everyone to just forget about this.” My stomach turned in knots as I said it. I couldn’t believe their stupid testosterone fight was going to mean I had to miss out on both of them.

“It sucks,” I whispered. “But I think it’s the adult thing to do. The right thing to do for everyone involved. We’ll just walk away. All right?”

Nash stepped forward. His hand cupped my cheek. I heard Caleb moan when he touched me. This was not what I meant at all. What was he doing?

“You know there’s another option,” Nash offered.

I shook my head. “I don’t see what it could be. I can’t see both of you. It’s already causing problems. I’ll write my article and I’ll be out of here. Let’s just forget tonight.”

Nash looked over his shoulder at Caleb. “Don’t fight me on this one, ok man? Just hear me out.”

His hand left my face and I stared in bewilderment at the two hottest men I’d ever met.

“What in the hell are you talking about, Nash?”

“She’s upset. I don’t want her to be upset. You don’t want her to be upset. And the three of us walking away from this attraction is fucking stupid. We both know we’ve never let a girl come between us before. There’s no reason to start now.”

I covered my mouth with my hand. What was he saying?

“It’s really simple.” Nash grinned. “We share.”

“What?” I squeaked.

Before I could get my bearings, Nash leaned in and kissed me. His mouth was firm and possessive. His tongue tangled against mine as he groped my breast, sliding the tiny strap off my shoulder. I moaned, but when I tried to pull away he tugged at my nipple and I wanted more. I stood as he lowered the strap on my other shoulder.

His kiss grew stronger and more passionate as he certainly made my panties wetter than they’d been in months. I knew the fact that Caleb was watching all this made me uncomfortable but also turned on.

“Come on, man. Stop it,” Caleb commanded. “I get it. You want her.”

Nash abruptly stepped away, leaving my nipples tensing against my bra. My dress had fallen to my hips.

“Your turn,” he advised Caleb.

“The fuck I am.” Caleb’s brow pinched together, but I was so turned on I couldn’t stop myself.

I took a step forward on the small porch and leaned into Caleb. He was reluctant at first, but the instant our lips touched his body came alive. It was like the kiss at the barn, but more intense. I felt the electricity sparking off of us. He unclasped my bra with the flick of his thumb, freeing my breasts.

“Oh shit,” I whispered as he kissed my neck and throat. He lowered his head, taking one tit into his mouth.

I started to pant in small spurts. I’d never done anything so daring or dirty. My eyes opened and spied Nash leaning against the column. His eyes filled with lust. He nodded at me, approvingly.

It was like some kind of crazy sex drug. I loved it. I wiggled out of my dress so I was standing outside with nothing but my wet panties on.

“Nash,” I called. I needed him too.

He walked toward me.

Caleb let my tit pop from his mouth. I felt the air rush over my wet skin. I could barely stand. My legs felt like jelly.

“See?” Nash walked around behind me and kissed the side of my neck. “We share. Just like this.”

I nodded. “Let’s share. Please don’t fight anymore. This is so much better.” I was a woman possessed by the Montana air and the remoteness of the ranch. I could be anyone I wanted to be. Tonight, I wanted to ride wild.
