A BABY FOR A MILLION (The Passionate Virgins Series Book 3) by Vanna King (23)

Epilogue

JEFF

I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M ON TV.

But my entire family is here tonight to give support to my father. He’s being interviewed by the No. 1 talk show host in the country, Olga Kingsley, regarding my father’s desire to run for president in the coming elections. The incumbent President who belongs to the same party as my father has declined to run for reelection due to health issues, so the party is pushing for Dad to become the standard bearer.

I knew this was next in Baron’s agenda. We’ve talked about in even when Grandfather was still alive. He’s always wanted it. I know he can do it.

This is a huge undertaking for the entire family, but I’ve always known this was inevitable.

The rumor about Dad running for president started when he accompanied Mara and I to Venezuela to collect the remains of Mara’s parents. We had them cremated and brought their ashes back with us to the US and laid them to rest in the Vandercout mausoleum.

The media and the rags both in the US and Venezuela were fascinated. They were already obsessed with me and Mara when we first came out as a couple, and even more so when we got married. People are suckers for fairy tales and I didn’t believe in it before, but after I met Mara, I was a changed man.

Indeed, Mara is my fairy tale.

Mara didn’t believe me but I had all the faith in her intellect and passion for words. I hired a marketing genius for her first book and it soared to the top of every notable bestseller’s list in its category. She even had offers for her book to be adapted for TV. She’s still thinking about it as she’s busy writing her next book, a political thriller this time. My baby has gone totally hardcore with her writing career.

Her next book is taking a bit longer to finish as she gave birth to our son two years ago and devoted all her time in taking care of our baby and me. But I’m glad she came back to her writing this year. I want her to fulfill her dreams. Mara is so talented and passionate and I want the whole world to see how special the woman I married is.

I’m so proud of her.

My eyes are on my lovely wife as she sits beside my father. Yes, Mara is actually the real star of this interview and father is just a side-show, for now, at least as he builds up momentum for the campaign period. Mara is the inspiration behind one of my father’s political platforms — for the US to revamp its foreign policies with the countries that it has deteriorating diplomatic relations with, particularly the US allies in South America and Asia.

The family decided for Mara to be out in the open as her real self. No more hiding. No more fear. When her first book came out, many immediately suspected it was her own story and upon serious consideration, we have decided to admit it for the truth. Our security and legal advisers told us that the best defense against Mara’s enemies is for her to be openly associated with the Vandercourts. As a result, the entire world has become her watchdogs as she is quite a rock star now, a celebrity in her own right.

I’m never complacent with security though, but I’ve enough information to string those motherfuckers by their balls if they start acting up. They fuck with me, I’ll fuck them up a hundredfold. That’s my bottom line in the grand scheme of things. No ifs and buts.

“So, how would you describe your relationship with your husband in three words, Mara?” Olga asks.

My baby glances at me across the studio and gives me the look that I’m always grateful for every single day— the look that makes me feel like I’m at my very best as a man, a husband and a father.

“An exciting journey,” Mara says.

Olga nods. “Spoken like an author.”

“Yes. I can’t wait to write about our fights for a change.”

“You don’t fight?”

“Unfortunately, no. Not since we got married.”

The audience laughs.

“Isn’t that a bit boring?”

I raise my hand from the front row. “Can I answer that?”

Olga turns to me, looking very pleased. “I was hoping you’d actually oblige us and say something, Jeff. Go ahead.”

I gaze at my wife. “My wife is one of the smartest women I’ve ever known. She has her own mind, and believe me, before you engage her in any discussion, make sure you have a strong foundation for your belief.”

“Oh, she likes to debate,” Olga rides on.

“She was a journalist and an activist, after all, and now an author. But really, if you have strong beliefs, Mara loves to latch onto them like an alligator bite. Snap! Hang on to your principles for dear life as she will shake it until you suffer from extreme cognitive dissonance.”

Laughter erupt in the studio.

“Whaaaat? Noooo!” Mara protests laughingly and widens her eyes at me.

Olga is chuckling. “Humor us. Explain cognitive dissonance in a sentence, Mara. It sounds so Freudian.”

“It’s when you strongly preach about something, and don’t practice it,“ Mara answers.

I beam. “See? That’s the kind of woman I deal with everyday, and God, how she shook me every time, so I’ve learned the trick to avoid fighting in our household. Or worse, divorce. Ops, sorry, Dad.“

Laughs.

“And what is this trick?” Olga asks.

“When she starts acting up, I simply don’t engage. Ignore mode.”

Ooohs and aaahs from the audience.

“Because if there’s one thing that my father didn’t learn early on about marriage is this: A happy wife is a happy life.”

Laughter.

My father is shaking his head, smiling good-naturedly.

“No rebuttal, Baron?” Olga asks teasingly.

I hold my breath. Our PR team has coached our family on this. Learn to grab every opportunity of making yourself reachable and relatable. I hope Dad has learned some from our meetings.

“Well, what can I say, I’m very good in business, but honestly, when I look back at my life from the vantage point of a man who’s been with three marriages and two divorces, I’m very grateful that I’m here, able to face you all with my immediate family with all its lovely extensions. I don’t know what I did to deserve all this, because God knows I’m not perfect, but I tried to keep this family together through all the challenges, just like every head of a family should, and here we are today, still united, still solid, still loving each other through thick and thin. This is who I am. This is my family. And I’m a very lucky man.”

A few beats of silence, then a standing ovation.

My father sure didn’t disappoint.

“What are you thinking?”

I kiss my wife’s hair. “How wonderful you are.”

“Can you come up with a less cheesy line?”

“Taking notes for your next romance book?”

“It’s a political thriller.”

“I’ll bet my next orgasm, it has romance in it.”

She giggles and elbows me playfully.

We’re both sitting on the grass, her back leaning on my chest, my arms wrapped around her.

Some ten meters away near the labyrinth garden, our almost three-year old son, Jeremy is playing with my youngest sister Camille. Corazon is watching them closely like a mother hen.

Since Jeremy was born, Heather has been bringing her daughter once a week to Everland to be with Jeremy. Yes, I’ve decided to raise my family at Everland, as my grandparents would have wanted it. Mara and I are grateful for Heather’s efforts to get close to us. Thank God, Mom and Heather are now allies and mostly ganging up on poor Dad, who is getting high ratings in most States. We’re all geared up for the campaign period.

Nicolette is finally engaged to her long-time boyfriend now and planning her wedding. Whenever she has a tiff with Leyton, she’d call Mara, and my poor wife would patiently listen to Nicky’s drama for hours on end. They have become best friends.

Mara has brought my family back together, and we are closer than ever. I’m forever grateful to her for that.

“I never asked you this, but what made you decide I would be the mother of your first child and not Caitlyn?”

“You hair.”

“My hair?”

“When I came into the study the first time we met, you were facing the window. The morning light was reflected on your hair and all I could think about was you on all fours and me behind you, holding your hair in my fist while I

She elbows me. “Jeff!”

I chuckle, nuzzling her neck. “It’s true. The moment I saw you, IVF became a crazy idea. I wanted to make a baby with you the natural way and nothing but.”

“It’s not fair.”

“Why?”

“I developed a crush on you from staring at your portraits here.”

“Did you get wet while doing so?”

“Jeffery!”

“Be honest, Mara mia.” I pull her closer to me, letting her feel how the conversation is turning me on.

“Well…”

She squirms, rubbing her lower back against my erection. I love her immediate response to my verbal foreplay every time. “I bet you’re wet now.”

“Uhmmm….”

“That definitely sounds very wet.”

Blood rushes down south of my body, imagining her pussy dripping with her juices, craving for my cock. Three years have passed and it still turns me on faster than anything.

I stand up, pulling her with me.

“Let’s go.”

“What? The kids…”

“Corazon is with them.”

I drag her toward the manor.

It’s too far so I drag her to the old pergola hidden between the tall hedges. It’s my favorite spot when I was a kid and even today.

Our family spends time here for lunch or dinner.

The pergola is a bar and the magical ambiance is provided by the Wisteria blooms that almost completely cover it on all sides.

I pull her under the waterfall of violet, dragging her behind the bar counter.

“Don’t tell me

I turn her around to face the bar, pushing her to lean forward, flipping her long skirt up. My mouth waters at the sight of her curvy hips and smooth rounded ass.

“Jeff, someone might see us.“

My hand snakes between her legs, cupping her pussy.

“Ohhhhh!”

I lick her earlobe as my fingers slip past her thong, finding her wetness.

“You were saying?”

I fuck her with a finger, and then two, while my other hand fondles her breasts under her loose top.

She goes wild, her inner muscles squeezing my digits greedily.

My cock is going berserk in my pants.

I turn her around and hoist her up on the counter, opening her legs.

She goes for my zipper, impatiently tugging it down and pulling out my cock now thick and rock hard.

“Oh, Jeff, I want this. Please!”

I don’t need to be told twice. I’m already dripping.

I guide myself to her sopping entrance and penetrate her in one mighty thrust. We both gasp at the pleasure of it.

My sweet wife loops her arms around my neck for leverage and begins pushing her hips to and fro, screwing herself with my cock.

Fuck, she’s going to make me come fast with that.

I hook my arms under her legs, grip her ass and take control, drilling her little cunt like a mad man.

She goes wild, moaning loudly. I can’t help groaning too as it gets more intense. I fuse my lips with hers to muffle our cries of pleasure.

Our mating is rough, almost savage.

It’s always like this. I can’t control myself when I’m inside her. But she has adapted to the intensity of my lust and actually gets off on it fast.

“Oh god, Jeff, I’m coming…don’t stop….don’t stop…!”

Her cunt is milking my cock hard, signaling her impending orgasm.

Two thrusts and she flies, grinding her pussy against my surging dick as she comes hard.

Another three thrusts and I explode inside her, flooding her depths with my warm seed. I bury my face in her neck to muffle my animal groans as my body quakes and shudders from the mind-blowing pleasure.

We sag into each other, breathing hard.

“Jeff?”

I groan in her neck.

“I think I’m pregnant again.”

I pull away to look in her eyes.

“Jesus, babe, must you always tell me this right after I screwed your brains out like a fucking convict on parole?”

She giggles. “I haven’t taken the test yet, but my period hasn’t come this month.”

We’ve decided a few months ago to try for another baby, and it seems nature has responded right away.

I think I’m going to come again from happiness. Even with a limp dick. That’s how good this feels.

I kiss her lips gently.

“Can I possibly love you more than I already do?”

“I like that line. I’ll plagiarize that for my next book.”

I chuckle. “Te amo, Mara mia.”

Te amo.”
