An Inconvenient Obsession (The Omega Rescue Book 3) by Kian Rhodes (16)

Chapter Sixteen

Alrick

The path that Jackal had laid to the center of town was easy to follow. Not that I’d needed it when I could just follow the sounds of the whispered argument that he and Vlad were having; it seemed that the turkey was somewhat less than amused by his mate having marked the trail the, ahem, old-fashioned way.

“I can’t believe you peed in public!”

I barely fought back a laugh at the indignation in Vlad’s voice as I trotted on, pausing once when another scent – one I hadn’t expected – tickled my nose.

I drew in another breath, testing the air to be sure that I wasn’t imagining it. Nope. Definitely dragon, and not just any dragon, a friend. An ally. I huffed out a sigh of relief. If Harry was there, we were home-free.

My relief lasted only long enough for Sebastian to see his friend and launch himself into the dragon Alpha’s arms. In an instant, my usually complacent werewolf rose up, forcing his way past my control, and snarling out a challenge.

My rational mind – my human mind – fought to regain control, reminding him that the dragon was already mated, that Harry posed no threat to Sebastian. He didn’t care. He forced us forward, still threatening, claws and fangs at the ready, and all I could do was watch in horror from inside my own body as Harry set the black wolf aside and rose to meet me.

“That’s how it is, now?” Harry narrowed his eyes at me but otherwise just stood his ground, watching me advance without calling his dragon forth.

A whimper caught my attention, and I looked down to see Sebastian had positioned himself between us. He looked at me over his shoulder and then turned back to face Harry and let out the most uncertain growl that I’d ever heard. It was quiet and shaky, but undeniably a growl. My Omega had chosen his side. He’d chosen me.

Harry cocked his head and met my Omegas eyes.

“Are you sure this is what you want, Sebastian?” Harry questioned gently, ignoring my snarling, hulking form. “You’re safe; I’m here to take you home. You know you don’t need to do this, right?”

A small sound, something between a whimper and a growl came in response, but Harry seemed to understand.

“Okay,” he sighed. “Just remember that Spencer will never forgive me if you get hurt.” The dragon met my eyes. “He doesn’t get hurt in any way or you won’t have enough back up to survive, understand?”

Sebastian took several steps back toward the woods, looking back at me hesitantly before disappearing into the brush.

“You prolly ought to go after him,” Jackal suggested from where he and Vlad lounged on the bench, watching the drama unfold. “Can’t very well let an unclaimed Omega roam loose in the woods.” He snickered. “You never know what kind of beast he might hook up with.”

I hissed at the blatant insult but he just snickered again, clearly unconvinced that I was a threat. I turned from them and headed into the woods at a lope, following my Omega’s trail without difficulty as the breeze carried his scent to me.

Even on two legs, I covered the ground fast, quickly catching up to my prey, but he ignored my howled command to surrender, instead he turned his sparkling blue eyes on me and whirled about, taking off in the opposite direction, chuffing a challenge.

Oh? He wanted to play that game, did he? Now that my focus had turned from a perceived threat to mating, my mind had cleared, so, Instead of following the little wolf, I melted back into the trees and began to work my way through the brush.

Just as I’d anticipated, he slowed when he didn’t hear me following and then circled back, confusion showing in every step. I knocked him down with a sudden rush, rolling us over and pillowing him with my body as we fell, then depositing him gently on his back on the forest floor and caging him within my limbs.

He fought against me, clawing and snapping, but I dodged his claws and fangs easily, flipping him over and pinning him beneath me on all fours, my hard cock brushing against a slick, grasping opening I knew it couldn’t fit in. A werewolf can mate with a human – if it's done carefully, of course – but a werewolf and a traditional wolf are incompatible; one of us would have to shift for me to take him safely. As if he’d read my mind, the luxuriously soft fur beneath me began to rub against my skin as Sebastian’s bones stretched and reshaped into a panting humanoid on his hands and knees.

I groaned my approval as he arched against me, pressing until my throbbing length was trapped between his firm cheeks, sliding through the sweet-smelling slick that dripped down, making no secret of his desire for me.

I pressed my thighs apart, spreading his knees wider and used my palms to separate his cheeks, my eyes trained on the hungry pucker that was drooling for my flesh. The cool air drifted over his exposed skin and Spencer whined and twisted beneath me, trying to wrench away from my inspection. Not. Happening.

I growled and wrapped my left arm around his waist, yanking him flush with my body, my right hand gripped the back of his neck and forced his chest down, pinning him to ground. Lining our bodies up, I demanded entrance from his body, forcing my way through the ring of muscle and driving deep inside in a single, cleaving thrust.

A broken cry rattled through the body beneath me and I barely managed to still myself, releasing my grip on his neck and drawing back, fearing I’d hurt him. Sebastian disabused me of that notion by following me back and impaling himself on me, another fractured moan escaping him.

I growled in his ear and was rewarded by a shiver running through his entire body; there was no denying that my Omega loved being manhandled.

Sebastian grabbed the hand I was resting on his hip and brought it back to his neck. I took the hint, bending him over and pinning him down again as I glided through the silk of his body.

“More,” he groaned, shifting his hips. “Please, Alpha..”

I released my hold on my inner beast, allowing him to pound into the willing Omega coming undone beneath us. When his hand snaked beneath him, I released his neck, ignoring his whined complaint, and wrapped both of his wrists in my clawed hand, pinning them to the ground over his head. The whine of complaint shifted promptly to a gasp of arousal as he caught my meaning; if Sebastian wanted to come, it would be by my cock alone.

His gasps fell from his lips one after another as I dominated his body, as he submitted to my demand to own every inch, until he arched his back, a scream that ended on a howl ripping free from his throat as he shot his release across the dirt beneath us in bone-shuddering spasms.

I caught him as his legs gave out, I clamped down on his neck and buried myself so deep that it felt as though I would pass right through him as the pleasure that had been building in my balls shot through my body, sparking every nerve on its way. Pulling my nearly incoherent Omega up with me, I stumbled to a more secluded spot and settled down against the rough bark of a tree, Sebastian curled in my lap as my knot swelled inside him.

“You okay?” I murmured in his ear when I could finally speak again.

“Perfect,” Sebastian sighed against my chest. “Absolutely perfect.”
