I’m so tired of always doing the right thing. That’s always been me. My sister was the wild child, while I dutifully did what was expected.
As Daniel sits next to me on the sofa, I decide to take control of my life. For once, I don’t want to do what is expected of me.
I take a little extra time to get up in order to make sure that I have my land legs back. Turning to Daniel, who is now looking at me with questions, I extend my hand to him.

Daniel takes my hand, and when he stands, he picks me up in his arms. I giggle like a little girl, and it makes him smile. I would do anything to make him smile.
“Where is your room?”
“Down the hall, second room on the right. Hurry.”
Daniel shakes his head and laughs. “I thought I was getting the boot, not being invited into your bed.”
He kicks the door open harder than he meant to. “Sorry.”
Daniel starts to set me down, and I slide down his body slowly. It is sexy as hell. I can feel every inch of him as much as he can feel me.
As soon as my feet hit the floor, his mouth is on mine. This kiss is not sweet and gentle but hungry and full of desperation. Desperation for a connection with perhaps someone who is forbidden.
I’m breathless as I pull away from Daniel.
I reach for his shirt, but he stops me. “Nicole, I’m going to take care of you first.”
This is new to me. Jay was very selfish when it came to sex. He never cared if I was ever satisfied.
“Daniel, I’m not used to someone making sure that I’m getting what I need.”
Taking my face in his hands, he says, “Then you’ve been with the wrong men, because you deserve to be treated like the goddess that you are.”
Oh sweet Jesus, can this man make me melt.
Before I know it, Daniel is removing my tank top. I shiver, but I’m not hot. His touch has me on fire.
Once my top is off, I take over and undo my bra. I’m getting bolder, and I think it’s because he has given me courage.

“I’m taking over from here, Nicole.”
Daniel grabs me by the hips and pulls me to him. He hasn’t taken his eyes off mine, and it’s making me wet.
