Henley looked like a temptress of the finest sorts. It was almost as if she didn’t know what that dress and her wavy hair were doing. She was going to ruin me.

I smiled softly, looking into her eyes and trapping her with my gaze. “We saw that on your resume.” I glanced at Jude.
Her eyes flickered in his direction, and then back to me. “Yes, of course,” she said and cleared her throat.
“As you know, our company is very powerful,” I continued in a low voice.
Just then, the waiter made his way over and Jude instructed him to bring the house special.
“I think a lot of people know that,” Henley said rather bluntly.
I grinned. I liked her smart mouth. “Very well. I think you would like to see just how powerful we are.” I leaned in close enough to see the freckles over her nose and the tinge of red in her eyelashes and eyebrows.
She stared back at me, not leaning away. “How do you mean?” she asked, her pitch rising.

“As you know, Jude and I acquire everything together,” I said.
Henley merely nodded. She glanced at the food on the table and then over to Jude, who slid his hand onto her knee. I pressed my own knee more firmly against hers. Her breathing quickened excitedly.

Jude leaned in to her and she instantly fell silent. “We never said you didn’t have merit. You would be learning from us too. But we want something out of this as well. We want you, Henley.”
“Both of you?” she whispered.
I nodded. “Yes, both of us. As I said, we like to acquire everything together.”
She raised her eyebrows. “You would share me?”
