Henley

I stared at the business card for hours on end, wondering what the hell to do with it. Wondering if I could call and submit my body to them. It was the most absurd thing I’d ever heard, but it was also the most exciting thing that had ever happened to me.

An entire day later, I could still feel my body humming. I could still feel all the passion they’d given me in just that one sitting, and I hadn’t even orgasmed. Yet, I felt so spent and tired, I wondered what the hell it would have been like if I had.

Maverick alone would make any woman lose their mind. With his strong jaw and masculine scent, I couldn’t believe he was even real. And to be sitting right next to him, his scent surrounding me and his hands touching my skin—it had made me crazy. So much, in fact, that I would have given in—and that was before I’d touched the outline of his cock. Just feeling it through his pants was enough to make me dream about what it would feel like inside of me. He’d said the most lewd things, and somehow it had still sounded amazing.

I wanted it.

And then there was Jude. With his hand up my dress the entire time, he had tortured me without touching me. His knuckles had barely even grazed me. He had no idea how bothered he’d gotten me—or maybe he did and had enjoyed it.

I was already mad for them, obsessed with their promises and fantasies. No man had ever wanted me like this, let alone two.

I could just imagine the black ink of Jude’s body thrusting over mine as he had his way with me. Jude had a dark way about him that I couldn’t place; I was almost afraid of what he was capable of.

I laid on my couch that evening, unable to stop touching myself at the thought of them. I collapsed onto my back, splayed my legs open, and mentally put myself back in that restaurant, recalling the way their hands felt on me. With no panties on, I hiked my shirt over my breasts, exposing them to the cool air. I knew just how to make myself come at the thought of them. I help my pussy lips open as I fucked myself with my fingers and rubbed my thumb over my clit, which hadn’t stopped throbbing all day.

I thought of Maverick’s hand on my hardened nipple and pinched it.

I drove myself to three orgasms. And even though I was exhausted, just closing my eyes slightly brought them back to mind, making me need it all over again.

How could I do this to myself? What would happen if I needed a new job and my references had to be contacted? How could I expect them not to disclose whatever escapades we’d would embark on? I had no plans to taint my name in the business world before I’d even entered it. Hell, I would have a job by now if I’d already done that with my internship bosses.

Would they really teach me about the company, or just have me sitting in their office waiting for their commands? Would I even be able to take it? I was never good at following orders. I was the lawyer that would burst into the courtroom and stake my claim. I would go to bat for whatever company I represented because it would be my job and I would enjoy doing it. Nothing would keep me from doing that, but would this help me get there?

Jude and Maverick were too good to resist. Although I couldn’t imagine getting more attached than I was supposed to, I knew it was still a possibility.

How could I keep my heart out of such a personal relationship? Somehow, I didn’t think it was possible.

And then I would end up cast away until the next pretty woman came along and stole them. But then again, how could they be stolen from me if it would be them who owned me?

Would I ever let myself be taken away?

I’d just worked way too hard in school and in my internships to let this be the end of me. Still, part of me wondered if it could possibly be a beginning instead. Perhaps they could pave the way for me, while giving me more than just business insight…

Jude said they would both take me at the same time, sharing me. I imagined being rutted apart only to be reformed by Jude and then Maverick—or Maverick and then Jude.

I had never had that kind of sex before. I already knew neither Jude nor Maverick were modestly sized, so it definitely would hurt. But it would feel good too…

Would they do it at the same time? Would my insides feel both of them on either side of me? It was too much to consider. Too much to hope for.

If they were to own me, doing something wrong would obviously anger them. And if they let me go, what would I do with myself? How would I explain to my next employer that I’d been fired because I didn’t get down on my knees when I was told to?

My mind swarmed as I got off the couch and went to take a shower. Afterwards, I made myself a frozen dinner, which somehow made me think of Jude and Maverick again. I bet they were both dining at the best restaurant, not broke and miserable like me. I hadn’t even asked if I would be paid. But hell, I wasn’t a prostitute, so I didn’t think I would even want to be paid.

As I discarded my empty bowl, my phone rang and I dashed to it. Was it them? The unknown number gave me weird hope.

“Hello?” I answered.

Heavy breathing greeted me on the other line. “Hello, Henley.” Maverick’s deep voice flooded through the receiver.

I dropped onto the couch in shock. “Um…hello.”

“Have you thought about our proposition?”

“I…”

“Don’t lie, Henley.”

I swallowed nervously. “I have,” I answered.

“And?”

I knew he’d know if I was lying. And then, he would probably lose interest. “I want to, but there are some things that concern me.”

“Every contract is negotiable,” he answered simply, as if this was simple. I could virtually hear the smile in his voice.

“So, there’s a contract?” I asked hopefully. The security of a contract would certainly make me feel better.

“Yes, of course. We wouldn’t want to leave you unprotected,” he said firmly.

“Okay. And how enforceable is it? What would you do to me if I denied you at any time?”

He chuckled. “You must be a good lawyer, Henley. It’s mostly null in all courts besides our company. We wouldn’t want you trading inside secrets with anyone.”

“I would never do that,” I said. I prided myself on my honestly and integrity, and always knew I couldn’t be bought. “But I do actually want to learn from the company.”

“You will, Henley. Let me know your decision soon. I promise there’s nothing you won’t like,” he said and then hung up.

I knew he would sound good over the phone, but that had been insane. He’d been even more convincing. I had half a mind to just sign the contract, but knew I needed to clear my head first. So I went to my closet and found a casual outfit. I was just going to the local bar, so jeans and a sweater would suffice with my old converse.

I didn’t need a cab because it was close by, so I took the brisk walk to the pub and sat at the end of the bar, hidden in the darkness.

“Scotch. Neat, please,” I told the bartender, who gave me a look. He was cute, but it didn’t affect me.

It was then that I started to notice other men looking at me as well. I had never given much thought to how men viewed me, probably because I hated my red hair. I normally wore it up, but tonight, it was down, flowing over my shoulders and swinging whenever I moved my head, drawing plenty of attention. Men’s eyes would linger on me until I looked back, resulting in them either smiling confidently or looking away.

But I remained unaffected, for there were only two sets of eyes that could have any impact on me at the moment, and they were brown and blue.

Thinking about them again, I knew Jude and Maverick would be no good for me personally. But as for my body—that was another thing entirely. Besides, I was tired of my hand and my little toys from the corner street store. I wanted to explore my pleasure as much as they wanted to show it to me.

“Another, please,” I said to the bartender.

He smirked. “Long day at work?”

I chuckled. “As soon as I find a job.”

He laughed and poured my drink before walking off.

I began scrolling through my phone, finding emails of employers telling me they’d chosen someone else, and notices from job sites removing my profile due to inactivity. It all just reminded me of why I needed this opportunity.

Plus, my body needed orgasms and the touch of a man. And here I was, being offered two.

I decided I had to shuck up my pride and take it as an opportunity I’d been granted for a reason. I knew my worth and would never do anything to compromise it, but I couldn’t pass this up.

Once I found Maverick’s contact from his last call, I drafted the text that would change the course of my life. Whether for better or worse, I had no idea yet.
