They tied me to a bed. My clothes still intact, but I was helpless. Tears of anger stung my eyes.
“Timofey wants her untouched until he gets here.”
Sickness rolled in my stomach an acid like flavor rose up my throat. I was safe until whoever Timofey was came and then.. Shudders racked my body.
I was going to be sick. Fighting it back, I try to think Lark was going to come for me.
“She's a sweet piece I want to fuck her raw.”
Vomit tried to rise. I will die before he touched me before any of them touched me. Twisting my wrists, I let the rope shaft and tear my skin layer by layer.
Eventually I will bleed and fade from this place. I didn’t want to die, but I couldn’t face this I was a coward, that’s what my subconscious shouted.
It had faith he would save me before… before… I couldn't even think the words.
“Touch her before he gets here and he will kill you.”
The Russian accent became deeper the more he spoke.
“Who's going to tell him? Her? I’ll cut her tongue from her pretty little mouth.”
A gurgle followed his statement. I guess man number two just killed man number one. Something sparked inside me. I felt a ray of hope that these morons would kill each other off.
“What happened here.”
There was another Russian. How many were out there?
“He wanted her and the boss said hands off this Kiska wouldn't fucking listen.”
The other doesn’t speak and for a moment I thought he left.
“Timofey will be not be happy.”
“Da. But he deserved to die.”
“We got a call the family is gone.”
“Gone?”
“Someone wiped them out all dead even the boss.”
A smile spread tugging at my sore cheek, I already knew who killed them.
“Who?”
“Death came.”
“Yett!”
“Da.”
I laugh and start chanting.
“You're all going to die.”
I was like a record stuck on one track I kept saying those five little words.
“Shut that fucking mouth before I gag you.”
“He's going to kill you all.”
I half expected him to make good on his threats, but the silence, I received was a relief. Maybe he was already here hunting, killing destroying.
The door opened and I tried to shrink into the mattress underneath me. The big snarling man was back. His pace was fast as he approached me.
“I told you to shut up.”
I open my mouth to tell him to fuck off, but his fist slammed into my face my lip split under the force. Tears of pain stung my eyes as blood dribbled down my chin.
“You shut up now?”
“He's going to kill you.”
The second punch had blood filling my mouth. I honestly don’t know how long ive been here or where here is. Turning my head, I spit the blood onto the mattress.
“You know not of what you speak little girl.”
Did he really call me a little girl?
“I know exactly what I’m saying. Do you know who’s coming?”
The look on his face confirmed his ignorance. Lark was going to tear through here like a fallen angel.
“Yett just shut it or I will need to keep hurting you.”
“Death is coming for you.”
His eyes widen slightly as the words sink in.
“You took me and he will come for me.”
He told me I was his and I was completely his.
“Yett!”
“Oh yes, he's going to descend on you all like a hound from hell.”
I watch as he swallows hard. Without another word he leaves me lying here bleeding. I wanted to scream, I wanted to hit him back.
I fight the need to close my eyes once more. The pain almost too much to bare. It was a losing battle, they closed on their own and the darkness came to bring me home.
It whispered of my place among it. Lark was the king of the shadows of the darkness and I was its queen.
