CHAPTER 11

Ashlyn

“We need to talk.” I manage to get out around Josh’s open mouthed kisses.

“No, we don’t.”

“Come on, we haven’t talked about anything since we got back from Vegas. Please.”

With a heavy sigh, Josh pulls himself off of me and sits back down on the couch. We’ve spent lots of time on this couch and in my bed. Hell, pretty much anywhere. I feel like a teenager with how much we’ve been making out. I’m still on a sex ban so this is all we have. Tonight, I’m hoping to have a serious conversation about all the things that came to light in Vegas.

He dives in for another kiss and it pains me to push him away. “Why don’t you want to talk about it? How did we hang out as much as we did and I still had no clue you were a fighter? Anytime Zander talked about it…nothing. You always go to the gym, but not once did you say you were training. I don’t get it, please explain it all to me.”

Josh sighs heavily. “I got into fighting when I turned 18. I had always worked out and trained with Zander at that point, but I didn’t start taking it seriously until he got put into a few fights. Nothing major, but enough to start generating a buzz around his name. I thought I was cut out for it and wanted to give it a try. A few trainers talked me into trying it out saying I showed promise.”

“So, you trained and then what? Got your big shot too?”

“I got my first big fight when I was 21. Up until then it was little fights here and there. It helped that Zander was working his way up the MMA ladder, so to speak. That’s the main reason they let me in and signed me as a fighter. I owe Zander a lot.”

“I’ve never seen you fight but I can guarantee that he didn’t fight for you. There aren’t tag team partners in MMA.”

He smiles and looks me in the eye. “No tag teams. But he was the reason I got a foot in the door. So, for two years I had steady fights and started working my way up the ranks. I’m in a different class than Z. He’s the Light Heavyweight Champion and I fight as a Middleweight.”

He looks around getting nervous. When he looks down at his hands and rubs them together I start to get nervous too. What the hell happened?

“The night I fought Matty was the biggest fight of my career. I had been making a name for myself and people finally knew who I was. Getting in the ring with the former Middleweight Champion was a huge deal. That night I was in the zone and it should have been a cakewalk. Matty’s a great fighter, just not as good as me. I was cocky and let my guard down for a second and he caught me in a kimura. Giving up isn’t in my nature so I wouldn’t tap… until he ripped my arm apart.”

“What the hell’s a kimura?” The extent of my MMA knowledge is the sexy men I used to stalk.

He reluctantly reaches his hand in his jeans pocket and pulls out his phone. I’m not expecting it when he pulls up YouTube and plays the end of his fight. I cringe. Holy hell that looks like it hurt.

“You want to know the worst part? We were only two minutes into the fight. I tapped out a couple minutes into the biggest fight of my life. It was embarrassing and I couldn’t live it down. That’s why it was so easy for me to move up here. I couldn’t walk down the street back home in Texas without someone making a stupid little remark.”

“Josh, it was one fight, people lose fights all the time. I know it was probably horrible, but how come you haven’t scheduled a fight since?”

He stands up and starts pacing the room. “My arm was really fucked up after the fight. Really fucked up. I had surgery, then went through months of PT. The doctor already told me I’m as good as new but…something always stopped me. Believe me, I’ve wanted to dominate Kingsley in the ring to redeem myself. I just wasn’t ready yet… I am now.”

I can tell by the tone of his voice he’s serious. “So how long will it take you to get back in shape? The fight’s in what, four months? Is that even enough time?”

“A little less, but I’m good to go. I never stopped training. Physically, I’m in great shape and I’m going to push myself to be the best.”

I grab his hand before he can walk to the other side of the room and pull him to sit next to me.  Jumping in his lap I place my head on his chest. We sit there in silence for a few moments before he starts rubbing my back. I let out a yawn and laugh. If I’m not hungry I’m tired.

“Are you nervous?” I whisper.

“Hell no.”

His answer makes me smile. I get up off his lap and pull him by his hand. “Dance with me.”

“I don’t think so.”

I walk over and turn on my music. Paris by The Chainsmoker’s comes on as I shimmy my way over to a laughing Josh.

“If there were ever a moment that needed to be danced out, it’s now.” I grab his arms and try to move him but he won’t budge.

“Don’t tell me you’re too manly to dance. This may change things Mr. Cage.” I laugh.

Josh steps up to me leaving a breath between us. He wraps an arm around my hips and pulls me close. As his hips begin moving to the beat, my pussy clenches at the seductiveness of the moment. This was a bad idea.

“Oh, I’m the dancing type. Just when I have the right woman with me.”

He leans down and places his mouth against mine. His tongue skims the curve of my bottom lip and I open up, eagerly anticipating. When his tongue slips inside I groan. I have to do something.

I pull back and sink to my knees. I’m eye level with Josh’s impressive bulge that’s clearly visible through his jeans. I pop the top button and slowly lower his zipper as I look up into his eyes and lick my lips. As I reach in and free his cock he closes his eyes, pure ecstasy on his face.

“Ash, you don’t need to do this…the baby.”

“This isn’t about me or the baby, this is all you. Let me make you feel good babe.”

I pull his pants down to his knees and start to stroke his cock up and down. Nice even strokes. I lean forward and lick the length of him and circle the tip.

“Ash…” he groans.

I haven’t heard him say my name like that in far too long. My only mission right now is to possess him and make him lose control. Leaning down I take him in my mouth. Josh tangles his fingers in my hair and pulls slightly. Fuck, the stinging pain urges me on.

As my mouth is working his dick I move my hands down to fondle his balls. I use just the right amount of pressure then start to work my mouth a little faster.

“Ash…faster.”

I speed up driving him closer and closer to the edge. My fingers continue massaging between his legs and I feel empowered to go further. On a downward move I take him to the back of my throat and swallow. As I look up at him we make eye contact. Seeing him like this is everything. The fact that I can bring this man to his knees is everything.

“I’m so close.” Josh growls.

He holds my head in place and starts fucking my mouth. It’s hard, but I manage to keep up with his thrusts and I make sure to hollow out my cheeks and add pressure with my tongue. I know he’s close when his thrusts become erratic and hurried. He goes to pull out but I sink my fingers into both sides of his ass and hold him in my mouth as hot jets of cum slide down my throat.

His hips start to slow down before pulling himself out of my mouth. I wipe my mouth and look up at him. Josh’s eyes are closed and he’s breathing heavy.

When I go to stand up I feel pressure on my elbow as he helps me. This is why I love this man. Well, among other things.

“That was…wow Ash.”

I wink at him then head for my bedroom with him close behind me. Soon. Soon I’ll be able to have him in the way that I crave.

Josh starts laughing. “I want you with me always Ash. You’re the only one that matters. I wouldn’t fight unless I knew you could be there. Do you think it’s going to be too much on you?”

“We’ll deal with it as it comes. I don’t know what’s coming at us… Wait, I was just going to say something cheesy and that’s not happening. You know I’ll be there unless I’m told otherwise.”

I place my hand on my belly. I’m not scared shitless anymore. For the first time in months, I’m ready for whatever life throws at us. Of course, I’m nervous about Josh’s fight. I need to find out more information about his MMA career and the fight that apparently changed his whole outlook. One step at a time.
