Undeniable (Damaged Elite Book 1) by K. Renee (25)

Hunger pains are the devil.

The grumbling and pain in my stomach are the only reason I step foot out of Jagger's comfy bed. I could lie in it all week and never get tired of it. Well, I take that back. I'm not sure I could lie in bed that long without being occupied. I grin to myself as I get out of bed and go in search of something to cover myself.

Jagger must have stripped me down last night when he got me into bed. I still don’t remember much before waking up here. He said I was pretty out of it.

Since Ireland is still here, that means my brother is still here. After our last few encounters, I don't want to hear him call me a whore again.

I don’t find any of my clothes, but I do find Jagger’s button-up shirt. Pulling it on over my tank top, I button all the buttons before sliding my hands down my thighs to make sure I’m covered enough to go out into the living room. All eyes swing to me. I swallow and lock my eyes with Jagger. His scans my body leisurely before he crooks a finger at me.

I make my way toward him, not looking at the others. If I do, I know my cheeks are going to turn red as hell. I hate being embarrassed by them.

When Jagger wraps his arm around me, I glance over at my brother to judge his reaction. He doesn't move from his spot, looking away after a few seconds. "You feeling okay?” Jagger asks, bringing my attention back to him.

“Yeah, just starving.”

He grabs my hand and stands, leading me toward the kitchen. "I don't have a whole lot here, but I'll find you something until we can order some food later." He kisses the top of my head.

Ridge doesn’t say a word, which isn’t like him. He is the type to say what is on his mind, no matter who he hurts in the process.

“Is he just going to stay silent?” I whisper.

Jagger grins at me, then shrugs. "I wouldn't worry about it, little girl. Let's just feed you before you get all bitchy like you typically do." I narrow my eyes. He grins at me like the asshole he normally is.

He grabs peanut butter from the cabinet before opening the fridge, coming back with my favorite jelly, making me smile. Even before we started to see each other, I noticed he had the same stuff I like at his place.

I watch as he makes four sandwiches before grabbing water out of the fridge, then leads me back toward the bedroom. "Whatever you two don't eat, I will," he says. I grin at him as he sets the plate and water on the nightstand before pulling me to his body. His hands go under his shirt and he squeezes my ass cheeks before kissing me.

"You guys are so damn cute, it makes me sick," Ireland says from behind me. I giggle and press my forehead against his chest. "When are you having Bresger babies?”

I groan. I hate when she does that.

“Bresger? Are you shitting me?" he asks, his lip curled in disgust.

"Yeah. All the super adorable couples have a cool name. That is yours." She grins, making Jagger shake his head.

"No. I can get with the babies part, but not that shitty nickname." He squeezes my ass once more before he winks at me and walks away. I'm stunned into silence, not even really noticing that he's shut the door, leaving Ireland and me in the room together.

Ohmygah!” She squeals so damn loud, I’m sure my eardrum just popped. “You are so getting knocked up by Jagger motherfucking Bishop!”

I slap my hand against my forehead and instantly regret it, pain shooting through me. "I'm not getting knocked up. If my brother hears you yelling that out, there with be another fight." I groan, taking a seat on the bed. Ireland wraps her arms around me and kisses my cheek.

"Oh, please. I know you two fuck like rabbits already. It's going to happen."

I move and press my face into the pillows and scream. No way. I don't want kids right now. Half the time, I don't know how to take care of myself. I would probably be the worst mother ever. Shit, why am I even thinking about this? I am not getting pregnant anytime soon. We have plenty of time.

I take a few deep breaths and pull out of her grip. I grab one of the waters and unscrew the cap, taking a sip from the bottle before handing the other one to Ireland. I reach over to grab the plate of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and set it between us. We each take one and start to eat in silence. Neither of us says a word, but I know it's for different reasons.

I still have thoughts of babies with Jagger. I have no idea what she is thinking about, but judging by the look on her face, it has to do with last night. We didn't really talk about it, but I know it's bugging her. I still don't know what happened or why, so I don't say a word. Jagger didn't tell me much, but when everyone leaves, I'm going to get the whole story out of him. I know he probably learned more since they've all been here.

We both eat a sandwich before we lay back down against the pillows and turn to our sides facing each other, just like we’ve done so many times.

"Ridge isn't the same guy he was before." Her voice is quiet, and I know it hurts her to admit that. She loves him so damn much, and I hate that he's hurting her, too.

"I know," I whisper.

"I've never seen him act the way he did last night. I mean, I was completely out of it, but he beat the shit out of the guy who had me alone in a room. I still don't know how it happened. One minute, I was dancing with you, then you were gone and I was in that damn room feeling like I was going to puke at any moment." She blows out a breath before looking down at her hands.

I reach forward and brush her hair out of her eyes. “I’m sorry.” I don’t know what else to say. I still don’t even know how I got drugged.

“It wasn’t your fault. I was the one who begged you to come out with me. Maybe if we would have just stayed home, this shit wouldn’t have happened. On the other hand, I got to see a different side to Ridge.”

I frown. She shouldn’t know that side of him. She should only know the side of him who cares about her, who would do anything to protect us.

"They would have just found us somewhere else, Ireland. You did nothing wrong."

When a tear slides down her cheek, I scoot closer, wrapping my arms around her. We stay like this for hours, neither of us moving away from the other. The buzzing from our phones doesn’t even get either of us out of Jagger's bed.

When the door cracks open, I see my brother peek his head into the room, probably making sure we are decent before he opens the door and walks in. He climbs into the bed behind Ireland and wraps his arms around her, kissing the side of her neck. I just watch the two of them. I've never really thought about them ever being together, but if that's what they want, I won’t stand in the way.

I want them to be happy.

As I hear the front door shut, his footsteps come down the hall. My body starts to buzz just knowing that he's on the other side of that door. It's amazing that I can feel him even before I can see him. I never expected it to be like this. Honestly, I never want this feeling to go away.

As soon as the door opens, he makes his way toward my side of the bed, looking over at Ireland and Ridge, both with their eyes closed.

"It feels like a damn orgy in here. I'm almost afraid to get into my bed." He bites down on his lip ring a few times. "You need anything?" I shake my head, reaching up to grab his hand. I pull him closer so he has no choice but to put his hand behind me on the bed.

"Lie with me, please," I whisper. He looks over my shoulder again before sighing and forcing me to scoot toward Ireland and my brother.

"They’re lucky my bed is big enough for the four of us or I'd kick their asses out," he huffs.

I can't help but laugh at that. He acts like he hasn't shared his bed with more than two people before. I remember the guys having sleepovers. Half the time, they would all end up in the same damn bed, practically spooning each other.

“You guys fuck the same girl at one time. Sleeping in the same bed with each other is child’s play.” I smirk.

"As long as he keeps his dick on his side," Jagger grunts out. I frown. I don’t want to think about my brother’s dick.

“You know I can hear you, right?” Ridge mutters from my side of the bed. Jagger has this thing where he doesn’t let me sleep near the door. Something about it being safer, but it makes no sense to me. I couldn’t care less what side I sleep on, as long as the bed is comfy.

"I don’t give a fuck. You’re the one in my bed."

I shut my eyes and curl up in Jagger's arms. He tightens his hold on me and blows out a deep breath.

Things between us might be a little strained at the moment, but it doesn’t stop us from being a family.
