Though Gunnar had wanted to move Liam into his house immediately, both Liam and his mother were able to persuade him to take a slightly slower pace, so it was almost two months before Liam had his boxes packed, the movers scheduled, and everything ready to go.

Though Liam hadn't even begun to show, and his own mother had worked on the farm until she was almost due, Gunnar refused to so much as let Liam pick up a box. Liam would reach for the flat box holding the silverware, and Gunnar would grab it out of his hands and tell him to sit down and have something cold to drink.

After the third attempt, Liam just rolled his eyes and grabbed a bag of dishtowels to walk down the stairs.

"Dad’s just worried," Olivia whispered when Gunnar had gone downstairs to give an instruction to the movers.

"I know," Liam said. Liam wouldn't even have bothered with movers since most of the furniture had come with the apartment and he was mainly carrying the extra animal pens, his clothing, and a few other keepsakes as well as the television he had bought with his first paycheck.

When all of Liam's things were moved out, he gave the apartment a final once over, and a part of him felt sad. Not sad he was moving in with Gunnar, which he had never imagined being so happy about, but sad he was leaving this part of his life behind. He was happy to be starting a family, and a new life with the man he loved, but with every change, you lost something.

Liam heard Gunnar's heavy footfalls on the staircase and didn't bother turning even when Gunnar slipped his hands around Liam's waist. He rested his palms on Liam's belly.

"It's going to be a couple of months before I start showing," Liam said. At least the morning sickness had passed.

"I know. I just like touching you."

Liam smiled and leaned back against his lover's chest. "We had some good times here, didn't we?"

Gunnar pressed a kiss to Liam's temple. "Yes. I know this is rushed, and we hadn't planned for a baby. Are you okay with it, with everything?"

"I love you more than anything."

"I love you too."

"Olivia's riding with your mother, right?"

"Yes."

"And she has the keys to your place?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"I just thought we could give this apartment a final goodbye.” Liam turned around to face his lover. They stood chest to chest, and Liam grinned as he watched Gunnar's brown eyes darkened with lust. "It would be irresponsible."

"I think the movers can handle it. We already integrated the pets, so it's really just a final step."

"Let's be irresponsible, for a little bit."

Liam grinned. They kissed, hard.

"We don't have any lube," Gunnar said.

Liam reached into the pocket of his jeans and held out the bottle. "I thought, just in case."

"Every time I think I couldn't fall in love with you anymore…" Gunnar slipped his hands under Liam's t-shirt. His strong, wide hands skimmed Liam skin, and Liam's cock swelled in his underwear.

From the bottom of the steps, Olivia shouted, "Dad! Dr. Chandler! Are you coming?"

Liam tried to pull away, but Gunnar held him tight and shouted, "Olivia, go ride with your grandmother! We have to do a couple of things here, and we will be over right after. A final inspection of the property!"

"Okay. But you should've done that before the movers left."

"You're right. Next time, we'll do better," Gunnar said.

They waited, frozen, holding each other until Olivia's footfalls faded and the door clattered shut behind her.

Gunnar said, "Now where were we? I think we should start with double checking the living room, and then, we'll see where we are from there."

"I've never inspected a kitchen in this way," Liam ventured.

"Then, we'll start in the kitchen."
