Chapter 3

Felicia

After arriving at the office, the first thing I do is sift through all of the August sales data. It’s clear that the bulk of our profits came from just five products. It’s probably not a coincidence that each of them is one of my favorites. Thousands of women have ordered a Felix after reading about my experience introducing it to Rex. I should maybe try to be a bit less biased when I’m writing the marketing pieces. After all, not everyone derives pleasure from the same experiences. It’s just harder for me to sell something that I don’t find truly amazing.

“Do we have anything going on tomorrow night?” Rex asks, sticking his head into my office.

“There’s nothing on my calendar. Why?”

“Brix is going to be in town with his new girlfriend, and he wants us to go to Vancouver with him,” he says nonchalantly. Whenever he’s intentionally casual, I know it’s something that I’m not going to like.

“So, what’s in Vancouver?” I ask, sitting back in my chair and waiting for the bomb to drop.

“I referred a guy from there to him because I thought he could use some Tantra Chairs for his new club,” Rex says, maintaining his casual pose. “The guy bought two dozen, so I made over two grand on the referral.”

“Two dozen? Does this guy own a brothel or something?” I ask, not being able to fathom needing that many.

“No, he’s starting a club called The Garden of Eden. Brix wants us to check it out with him and his new girlfriend.” He approaches my desk and slips into the chair on the opposite side. “It’s not like we have to participate or anything. I would just like to see what he’s doing up there.”

“I don’t know if I’m comfortable with that,” I reply, giving him a conditioned response. “I’m definitely going to keep my clothes on, and so are you!”

“I’m fine with that. I have no need to do it in public,” he assures me, even though the growing bulge in his pants is evidence that his dick is getting hard. I’m sure the fact that it’s way outside my comfort zone only makes it more intriguing. He’ll probably try to soften me up with champagne and strawberries, but even then, I can’t imagine doing anything at a club.

“Have you noticed that all of our best sellers are my favorite toys? The chair, the Demonizer, the two RH Signature dildos, and Felix?”

“Yeah, that’s totally not a coincidence.” He chuckles. “But it’s fine because three of the four have the best margins of our entire offering, so just keep doing what you’re doing. I’m a firm believer in the eighty-twenty rule. You’ll make eighty percent of your profits from twenty percent of your product line.”

“Okay, I just wanted to make sure my bias wasn’t hurting our sales.” I glance through the remaining products, many of which have languishing sales. “This thing is a piece of crap,” I point out. “I don’t think this should even be on our site.”

“I hadn’t tested a lot of these things when I added them. Make a red mark next to any that you think should be taken out,” he replies, not seeming attached to anything but our bestsellers. “By the way, I’m glad you’re onboard for tomorrow night,” he adds, rapping his knuckles on my desk before rising and heading back out into the hallway. “I think it’ll be fun.” He adjusts himself to minimize the tent in the front of his pants.

The Garden of Eden. That should be interesting. I type it into Google, but nothing pops up. I can only imagine, with a name like that and a couple of dozen Tantra Chairs, what will be going on there. Brix is a porn star, and most likely, his girlfriend is as well, so those two will fit right in. I wonder how I’m supposed to dress? A feeling of anxiety begins to grow within me. I hope there aren’t a bunch of creepy people there. Maybe it’s not even open yet. After all, Rex said he was just starting it. I decide to go with that thought so I can finish my work. Whatever happens, I’ll be with Rex, so there isn’t much to worry about.

Four o’clock the following afternoon

“We’ve been traveling together for the past two months doing live demonstrations in sex clubs around the world,” Brix tells us after introducing us to Daphne. She’s a tall blonde with striking blue eyes who could easily pass as my sister. “We’ve been making about two grand a night doing it. We sell a ton of chairs and stream the live events through my website for all the paid members. It’s a win-win.”

“Wow, you really have this whole thing figured out,” I reply, once again flabbergasted by how he turns sex into money. “You use the chairs in your shows, sell chairs to the clubs, and charge your fans to watch the shows. That’s pretty ingenious.”

“Surprisingly, lots of people have been buying the chairs from our website too,” Daphne adds, rubbing her hand along the inside of Brix’s thigh.

“They’ve become one of our most profitable items too,” Rex says, sitting back in the limo with that distant look in his eye. I can immediately tell he’s thinking about something business related. “Maybe we should stream some of your old shows on our Bettergasms site. Give people a better idea how the pros use those chairs.”

“Because we’re not going to be doing any demonstrations,” I interject. “I love using it, but I can’t imagine seeing myself on the website.”

“Having sex on camera is a total rush,” Daphne counters, sitting up in her seat. “But there is nothing like doing a live show in front of a bunch of people and knowing that it’s also streaming out to thousands of people online. I’ve had my most intense orgasms during live shows,” she admits in a hushed voice.

I catch the limo driver’s eye while he’s looking back through the rearview mirror. He’s got an obvious smirk on his face. “I imagine it would be kind of exciting to have sex in front of other people if you’re an exhibitionist by nature. I’ve always hated being in front of people, even with my clothes on.” I roll my eyes at the driver and turn toward the window, taking in the view as we drive by Elliott Bay. “Have you guys ever gone out whale watching?”

“My grandpa used to take me when I was a kid,” Rex says, joining me and looking out the window. “I used to love going out with him on his sailboat.”

“Well, I hope you like the powerboat I rented just as much,” Brix says with a big smile.

“Powerboat?” Rex asks with wide eyes. Brix seems like he’s a little crazy, so the idea of going out in a powerboat with him doesn’t seem like a rational thing to do. “Today?”

“Yeah, there’s a cigarette boat waiting for us at Shilshole Bay Marina. A buddy of mine rents it out for twelve hundred a day, but we do a lot of business together so he’s letting me have it for a couple of days. There’s a place to dock it just north of the place we’re going, so this will be a blast.”

“Have you ever driven a power boat?” Rex asks, not seeming comfortable with the idea.

“I drove it with him earlier this summer,” Brix says with a wave of his hand. “It’s like any other boat… except for the twelve hundred horsepower.” He laughs and slaps Daphne on the thigh. “That’s why I told you guys to just dress for the beach party tonight. That way, we don’t have to worry if you get a little wet.”

“I’m going to have to behave tonight. The last thing I want is a two-hour boat ride back with a hangover.” My stomach turns at the thought of it. Lord help me, first, we’re going to some sort of sex club, and now, we’re going via cigarette boat. I was wondering why Brix showed up dressed like Don Johnson from the Miami Vice days. I thought maybe he just had bad taste in clothes.

Rex

About halfway to Vancouver, Felicia finally seems comfortable with the rhythmic bouncing of the power boat. I have to admit that even my stomach got a little queasy once we were out in the open waters. It’s been a long time since I’ve hit waves like these at full speed, and of course, Brix loves the fact that we get airborne each time we hit a big one. I grip Felicia’s hand and try to get her to relax into the big overstuffed seat.

“Are you feeling better?” I ask as the wind whips through her hair.

“I’ll make it. As long as he stops jumping waves,” she replies loudly enough for Brix to hear over the whine of the supercharged engines.

“Sorry, babe. If I slow down, it starts to porpoise, and that’s really annoying,” he says, keeping his eyes glued to the water ahead.

“I’ll ask him if I can drive on the way back,” I assure her. “I’ll teach him how to use the trim to get a smoother ride. For now, I think I should let him have some fun.”

“As long as you think it’s safe,” she replies warily.

“We’ll be fine. He’s got so much downward pressure on the bow that there’s no way this thing is going to do anything but track. But that’s why the ride is a little rough.” I look over at his trim gauges. “I’m sure his buddy told him to run with the trim all the way down to keep him from flipping the thing. Rosario Strait is just ahead, so the water will be smoother again.”

I slip my hand beneath her cover-up and shoot for the gap between her thighs, running my fingers along the center of her bikini bottom. “Trying to take my mind off things?”

“I thought it seemed like a good idea,” I whisper as Daphne glances back from the passenger seat. I always thought Daphne from Scooby Doo was gorgeous. I think that’s the only other time I’ve ever heard that name. Oh, and the English woman from Frasier.

“You’re a bad boy,” Felicia mutters as I slip my fingers beneath her bottom and slowly begin to tease her. “I don’t really think this is appropriate.”

“Don’t worry, you’re among friends,” Daphne says, looking back again. Obviously, she has better hearing than I thought. I can’t hear much of anything over the roar of the boat. I shift my hand just a bit to gain a more advantageous angle, allowing me to penetrate a little deeper. She slouches in the seat and simultaneously eases her legs open, allowing me room to maneuver. Daphne flashes a broad smile before getting up from her seat and sitting down on the other side of her. “I’m sorry, but I can’t just sit idly by when someone is getting a little. My man is preoccupied at the moment.”

“Dammit,” Brix spouts, looking back at the three of us. “Now I feel like a goddamn designated driver.”

I kiss Felicia hard on the lips while Daphne runs her fingers up the length of her arm, lingering momentarily before brushing against her right nipple. The material immediately reveals her excitement as her nipple hardens against Daphne’s touch. “If you two think you’re warming me up for the sex club, I’m definitely going to disappoint you,” she says, looking back and forth between the two of us.

“Shh,” Daphne replies, pressing a finger to her lips before dragging it down her chin and neck and back to her breasts. “You have gorgeous tits,” she adds, cupping one of them before teasing her other nipple. A conflicted look crosses Felicia’s face as she looks back and forth between us. I know she’s never been with a woman before, so I’m sure Daphne’s aggressiveness is making her a little uncomfortable. But she did admit to being curious about what it would be like to kiss another woman. Something that came up one day when we heard that old Katy Perry song.

At the time, I admitted that two girls kissing really turns me on too. I’m actually hoping that Daphne will go for it. My dick stiffens just at the thought. Women have those delectable curves, soft skin, and heavenly scents that I find irresistible. If I were a woman, I’m pretty sure I’d have to be a lesbian. In fact, back in college, I used to joke that I was a lesbian trapped in a man’s body. Something I started saying after taking a gender identity survey in Psych 202.

“I can tell by the look on his face that he’s hoping you’ll kiss me,” Felicia tells Daphne with a sigh. “I’m not so sure we should give him the satisfaction though.”

Daphne smiles as her gorgeous full lips move to within millimeters of Felicia’s. “I think that’s something that should wait until after dark,” she says, coming as close as possible before backing away.

“All right, kids, playtime is over,” Brix informs us, looking back and shaking his head as if he’s offended. “The marina is dead ahead. I can’t believe the three of you would mess around without me.”

“Oh, don’t worry,” Daphne says, reaching between his legs from behind and rubbing his crotch. “After you ditch the white leisure suit and loafers, we’ll let you join in.”

“Hey, I’ve always wanted to reenact the opening scene from Miami Vice,” he says with a scowl, slowing to enter the marina.

“And now you have,” she replies, popping to her feet to give him a peck on the cheek. “It’s kinda cute on you.”

“Okay, guys, you’d better stash the drugs,” I tease as we approach the entry point and a customs officer steps out of his booth.

“That’s probably not something you joke about when we’re driving a boat like this,” Brix grumbles as he cuts the engines and allows the boat to drift to the dock. “You’ll have to excuse my attire, sir. I was a huge fan of Crockett and Tubs when I was a little kid.”

“I already figured that,” the officer says with a chuckle, using a tie-down to secure the bow of the boat. “How many keys can this baby hold?”

“There’s no drugs. We’re from Seattle,” Felicia says, finding herself the focus of the officer’s glare.

“Yeah, everyone knows there aren’t any drug dealers in Seattle,” Brix spouts, pulling off his suit jacket and throwing it under the hull of the boat. “Those two little suitcases are all we brought with us. We’re just here for the grand opening of a new club.”

“Which club?” he asks, making a note on his clipboard.

“Have you heard of The Garden of Eden?” Brix asks hesitantly.

“Ahh, so you guys know Alex Mendosa?”

“Yeah, we just sold him thirty thousand dollars’ worth of furniture for the place,” Brix replies, gesturing toward me.

“Furniture? What kind would of furniture would that be?” He lets out a hearty belly laugh.

“It’s called a Tantra Chair,” I clarify.

“It looks like real furniture, but it’s very functional,” Felicia adds with a smile.

“I’ll bet it is.” He grins, slapping the back of the clipboard against his open hand. “I’ll just need to take a quick look around and I’ll get you on your way. I’m sure you guys are going to have a good time with Alex. He and I are second cousins. He’s pretty much the black sheep… if you know what I mean.”

“Yeah, so are we,” I reply, knowing that Felicia is probably the only one of our group who doesn’t qualify for the title. Which is exactly why she immediately swats me on the arm. “Except for her,” I add, nodding her way. “She’s a good girl.”

“But we’re gonna try to change that tonight,” Daphne teases, giving her a wink.

It’s fun to see Felicia getting a bit flustered. It actually reminds me of the first week or two that I knew her. It’s clear that Brix and Daphne are incredibly comfortable with their sexuality, so even though Felicia has come a long way, she’s not in the same league as those two. Actually, neither of us is. It will be interesting to see how risqué Brix and Daphne get at the club tonight. It should be quite an experience.
