Chapter 4

Felicia

My stomach is doing flip flops as the four of us are plucked from the line that has formed at the entrance of the building and led in through a side door. The woman who comes out to greet us treats Brix as if he’s a full-fledged movie star. She fawns over him and giggles like a school girl, guiding both Rex and him away from us. With his dark hair, striking features, and chiseled body, he could’ve easily made it in Hollywood. But he seems to be doing pretty damn good in the porn world for the moment.

“Women always flirt with him right in front of me,” Daphne tells me with a smirk. “They assume that we just work together or that he messes around on the side. It drives me nuts.”

“Well, a lot of women are looking for a bad boy who knows what he’s doing. Women have a tendency to throw themselves at Rex too,” I reply, looking over at him. “I have to admit that he has rocked my world since the first night we spent together.”

“Yeah, Brix too. I’ve never met a guy who has stamina like him,” she says with a sigh. “He’s definitely an exhibitionist though. He’d much rather fuck in public than his own bedroom. He kind of has an issue with true intimacy.” Her frustration is clearly evident.

“Rex had the same issues, but things will work out if you two are right for each other,” I assure her. “Rex is still distant at times, but he’s getting better.”

“I wouldn’t even know his real name if I hadn’t snooped through his wallet,” she says, raising her eyebrows and cringing. “Irwin Turner. I never would’ve guessed that one.”

“I figured his name wasn’t really Brix,” I reply, having found it a bit strange.

“His high school buddies started calling him that after he lifted weights for a couple of years.”

“Built like a brick shit house, huh?”

“Yeah, he liked it, so I don’t think he gives anyone his real name unless he has to.” She leans back and looks over at him, trying to catch his eye. “He just loves it when women make a big deal out of him.”

“Oh, so does someone else I know,” a man with a rich baritone voice says behind us.

“Richard! What are you doing here?” She spins on her heel with a shocked look.

“I heard through the grapevine that you were going to be performing tonight.” He lowers his head and looks straight into her eyes. “I thought I would come and see what my little angel is up to.” This man is obviously wealthy and more than old enough to be her father. Daphne is visibly shaken, while he’s as cool as a cucumber. “Daphne Jennings, huh? Does your mother know you switched back to your father’s last name?”

“No. Please don’t mention anything to her,” she says with a pleading look. “Honestly, I was just hoping you would all lose track of me after everything became so weird.”

“You know, I only have your best interest in mind,” he says, slipping his arm around her. “I’ve always had nothing but good intentions.”

“Yeah, you have. How’s Mom doing, anyway?” she asks, pulling back from his advance.

“I haven’t talked to her lately,” he says, his expression turning darker. “After you disappeared, nothing was the same.” He turns his glare toward me.

“I’m going to go check on Rex,” I blurt out, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable. Judging by the look of shock on Daphne’s face, this guy isn’t someone she was expecting or wants to see. It seems that the best option is to bring it to Brix’s attention, and hopefully, he can deal with it. There are enough people around here that I’m not worried about her immediate safety.

“You can’t stay,” I hear her telling him as I scan the room for our men.

“Hey, I just flew three thousand miles to see you,” he replies, seeming to enjoy the fact that she’s becoming flustered. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to do anything to embarrass you,” he adds. I glance back toward them, and he’s holding her by the shoulders, trying to look into her eyes. She’s having none of it. I begin to search the room more frantically, not seeing them.

“Where are Rex and Brix?” I ask the woman who had taken them from us.

“They’re in with Alex, probably having a pre-show cocktail,” she says with an annoyed look. “You can’t go in there.”

“Can you tell Rex that I need to speak with him, please? Now!” I press, feeling increasingly uncomfortable about this whole thing.

“Fine!” she spouts, throwing me a nasty look and stomping over to the office door in her five-inch heels. “Some chick is out here demanding to talk to Rex,” she announces, glaring back at me.

“What’s up, hun?” Rex asks, popping up from the couch.

“There’s a guy named Richard talking to Daphne, and she seems pretty freaked out about it,” I tell him loudly enough for Brix to overhear it.

“Oh, shit,” Brix says with a grimace. “She’s been worried that he would catch up with us one day. I’ll go take care of it.” He pounds his drink and sets the empty glass on Alex’s desk.

“I need you guys to perform at eight,” Alex reminds him, looking at his watch. “I’ll grab Bubba and we’ll take care of the guy. You collect Daphne and get ready for the show.”

Rex and I stand back and watch the scene unfold. Richard raises his hands in front of him and offers no resistance. Brix and Daphne head back to the changing room while Alex, Richard, and Bubba all pass by us on their way back to Alex’s office. “The guy looks pretty normal,” Rex whispers.

“Yeah, but something isn’t right. She was really uncomfortable around him,” I whisper back as the door closes. “I think I need a pre-show cocktail, since you already had one.”

“Anything you want,” he replies, holding out his elbow to escort me to the bar.

There’s a steady influx of people as eight o’clock approaches, and soon, the entire club is filled to capacity. There are two dozen Tantra Chairs strategically placed throughout the room and two that are elevated on a small stage. I assume that’s where Brix and Daphne will do their demonstration. “I can’t imagine getting up on a stage and performing in front of all these people. With my luck, it would be my first brush with limp dick.” I tip back my double-shot of Crown and slam it just at the thought of doing something so ballsy.

“Yeah, I’ve had knots in my stomach all night, and I don’t even have to do anything,” she replies, tipping back her Sapphire martini. “I think we need another round before the show starts.” She giggles and squirms in her chair. “I’m sorry, but Sexapalooza was way out there for me. This is totally over the top.”

“I know. It’s been fun watching you squirm,” I admit, flagging down our server. “Although I was kind of disappointed that you and Daphne didn’t make out earlier.”

“Yeah, I could tell. I definitely need a second martini if I’m going to hang out with you guys.” She glances around the room. “I’m surprised there’s such a wide range of people here.”

“That’s pretty normal,” I reply after letting the server know we want another round of the same. “People of all ages, shapes, and sizes are into sex. I found that out firsthand as a surrogate. My mind was definitely broadened during those years.”

“I still don’t know how you could do that,” she replies with a solemn look. “I mean, I get that you had to separate sex from your emotions, but I don’t think I could do it.”

“It was very awkward and strange at first. I talked with my first client for two hours before we did anything,” I confess. “She was about ten years older than me, and she wasn’t my type at all. She had a couple of bad experiences as a teenager and it had completely destroyed her self-confidence. After a few sessions, she told me that she was ready to start dating again, and three years later, she was happily married. I completely changed that woman’s life, and I did the same for many others.”

“Were any of your clients married?” she asks curiously.

“Yes. But I always met with both the husband and wife together the first time and explained my services. About half of the husbands would let their wives follow through.” My mind flashes back to some tension-filled meetings. “Some of them got very defensive about their perceived inadequacies, even though I would explain that a lack of sexual knowledge is normal in our society. No one teaches these things.”

“You’re definitely a good teacher,” Felicia purrs, leaning into me. “I can’t believe what I was missing out on before I met you.”

“I’m just glad you came into my life when you did. I had absolutely no intention of dating, especially with all the shit that was going down with psycho ex-clients.” I shake my head and give her a one-armed hug. “You saved me just as much as I saved you.”

Just as the server returns with our cocktails, Alex emerges from his office and takes the stage. “Welcome, everyone, to the grand opening of The Garden of Eden,” he announces to a roar of applause. “I know many of you have been admiring these beautiful loungers that are situated through out the club, and now you’re going to get a demonstration on how to use them. It’s first come, first serve, so if you get the urge, you’d better go ahead and grab one.” He chuckles, looking over our way and winking at Felicia. She immediately latches onto her martini glass and take another long sip.

We both look around the room as the music takes on a much more seductive tone and the lights go dim, accentuating the stage. A minute later, Daphne emerges to thunderous applause with Brix following closely behind. They’re both dressed in blue satin robes, and once onstage, Brix immediately takes her in his arms and kisses her passionately. I feel the tension rising within me as he undoes her robe and slips it from her shoulders. I glance over at Felicia, who is now wide-eyed in anticipation. “She looks an awful lot like me,” she observes, shaking her head.

“Yeah, I noticed that right away,” I concur. “I think that’s why the thought of you two making out turned me on so much.” I chuckle as her expression turns to a cute little scowl. “It’s like being with twins, every guy’s fantasy,” I add, trying to explain.

“That’s just gross,” she scoffs, not getting it. “Who would want to share a guy with her twin sister? I can’t imagine being naked with my own sibling.”

“I guess I haven’t given it much in-depth thought.” I laugh and turn back toward the stage just in time to see Daphne lie back over the top of the chair and lift her legs into the air. Brix takes a thigh in each hand and lowers his tongue to explore her in front of the excited crowd. Her long blonde hair cascades down the chair as she allows herself to be taken by him. A young couple is the first to stand up and walk toward one of the other chairs. I glance over at Felicia, who is actively avoiding eye contact at the moment.

Members of the crowd become increasingly verbal as Brix takes a seat and guides Daphne onto his lap. The young couple, now completely undressed, follows their lead, assuming the same position. My eyes move back and forth between the two couples who both seem extremely turned on by risqué activity. Felicia finishes her second martini, keeping her eyes firmly fixed on the stage. I smile at the fact that she doesn’t want to look at me, as if I would take it as a sign that she was ready to be led to the adjacent chair.

An older couple rises from their table, and the woman undoes the man’s Hawaii shirt, revealing a rather in-shape chest and belly for an older gentleman. The other couple sitting at the table quickly rises to join them. A more upbeat song begins to play, so Brix turns Daphne around and takes her from behind, thrusting into her with obvious passion. Even in the dim light, I can see that Felicia’s neck is flushed, a sure sign that she’s getting aroused. Her fingers grip my thigh as she clears her throat. “Kind of sexy, isn’t it?” I ask, leaning into her.

“It’s crazy,” she replies, looking at me for the first time since the show began. “I’ll be right back.” She gives me a sexy smile before leaving her chair and heading toward the restroom. She has nothing to fear in this crowd. She and Daphne are the two obvious standouts. She glances back before disappearing behind a divider. I have mixed feelings about doing something in a club setting like this, but more and more couples are joining in, so if Felicia wants to, I’ll roll with it. We’re far enough from home that I’m unlikely to run into anyone I know. The thought of having sex with her in a club begins to intrigue me as I watch the others joining in. I order a third round of cocktails, knowing that a little extra courage won’t hurt.

Felicia returns from the restroom with a sexy grin and a flirty look in her eyes. As she takes her seat, I immediately notice that there’s no longer a bikini bottom beneath her sheer white cover-up. My hand moves up her thigh as I try to gauge whether she’s ready for some fun. I’m interrupted by a petite blonde pushing past our table with what appears to be a bodybuilder who is more than twice her size. She nestles into the sex chair right next to our table and pulls him onto it with her. “Shit. I was just thinking of grabbing that one.” I reach over, taking Felicia’s hand, and stand to look for the next closest opening. “I think we waited too long,” I sigh.

“Your drinks, sir,” our server says, setting them down behind us along with an updated tab.

“It’s probably a sign that we need more liquor.” I chuckle, grabbing my glass and taking a long sip. Felicia, in full agreement, grabs hers and drinks it down like water. “Holy shit, honey. Those are pretty potent to be slamming!”

“Hey, do you want to have some fun or not?” she says with a slight slur, the alcohol already kicking in.

“Yes. I do.” I throw back my glass, finishing mine too.
