Chapter 1

Rex

Three Months Later

I recline on the Tantra Chair, waiting for Felicia to come out of the bedroom. She’s planning to suntan on the deck since it’s so nice out, but I have other ideas in mind. My dick pulsates with each heartbeat in anticipation of her entrance. Our sex life has become ever more adventurous since this chair arrived, along with a copy of the Kamasutra. The surprising thing is that it’s actually more comfortable than my recliner.

“I was wondering why it was so quiet out here,” she says, coming out from the bedroom in a string bikini.

“I ran across something else that might be fun to try,” I reply with a wink. “I can’t stop reading that book.”

“No complaints here.” She smiles, releasing her bikini top. “My twenty minutes of sunshine can wait.”

I reach over, pulling the string on her bikini bottom, allowing it to fall to the floor next to her top. “I want you to face toward the back,” I tell her, turning around so she can straddle me. “I love watching your curves as you ride me.” I run my hands along her hips before sliding them up the length of her back. I reach around and cup her breasts, gently squeezing her nipples between my fingers as I guide her onto my pulsating cock.

“No foreplay this morning?” she murmurs, looking back at me.

“This is foreplay,” I reply, not allowing my cock to penetrate more than an inch or two. “I’m just going to tease you for awhile.”

“Mmm, I like it,” she moans, adjusting her hips in an attempt to access more of me. “Ooh, it’s not going to take long the way you’re hitting me.” I slide back a few inches to avoid going any deeper. I can see her arms already beginning to tremble, so there’s no doubt that she will soon be on her way to another blissful climax. “Oh, my God,” she exclaims, trying to increase the pace. I reposition my hands to cradle her ass as her legs begin to quiver in addition to her arms. “Harder, please.” She pants, wanting me to move past this stage.

“You wanted foreplay, remember?” I restrain her for several more strokes before relenting and burying myself deep inside her. She gasps and clutches the edges of the chair as an orgasmic wave pushes through her. “Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah,” is all she can verbalize as I give her several slow, deep strokes, pausing each time I reach maximum penetration. “I love how it feels to be inside you.” The fact that she’s already in the throes of ecstasy makes me crave her even more. My dick hardens with each thrust, sending additional waves of pleasure coursing through both of our bodies. The more I learn about tantric sex, the longer I want to extend our lovemaking sessions.

I pause momentarily, thinking that I’m hearing footsteps outside the main door. No one knows about this place, so it’s probably just UPS or something. The doorbell rings. “Rexton Philip? I know you’re here. I saw your car in the garage.” Only one person calls me by my full name.

“Go back to the bedroom and get dressed,” I whisper, looking around for my clothes. “Just a minute!” I yell to Mom, getting up to pull on a pair of sweats and my t-shirt. Felicia closes the door behind her, so I run my fingers through my hair and open the door to greet my mother. “I was about to hop in the shower after just finishing my workout,” I tell her, hoping to explain away my flushed, sweaty appearance.

“I like your new haircut. It makes you look like an adult,” she says, reaching out to fix a spot I missed. “Oh, is that a therapy chair?” she asks, immediately walking over to the scene of our latest sexual encounter.

“You could say that,” I reply with a grin. “You know I’ve always needed my therapy.”

“I really like this one,” she says, running her fingers along the upper curve of the chair. I cringe at the thought of her running across any incriminating evidence. “How much was it?”

“I got a nice discount, so it was a thousand bucks,” I reply, walking back toward the window in an effort to draw her away from it. “It’s a beautiful day out. How did you find this place?”

“Jessica gave me directions,” she says, still checking out the fabric and stitching of my sex chair. “My last therapy chair was thirty-five hundred. Where did you get this one?”

“I don’t remember the name of the website,” I reply, wanting to avoid an extended sex discussion with my mother. “I have the guy’s business card somewhere. I can probably get you the same discount if I buy you one through him.”

“That would be great. This color would be fabulous in my office,” she says, still examining the seams. “Is this real leather?”

“They call it synthesized leather, so I assume it’s not real. Have you had breakfast?” I move toward the kitchen.

“I’m fine. I think that’s the same thing my therapy chair is made of. This one looks more comfortable though. Do you mind if I try it out?”

“Okay, stop! It’s a sex chair, Mom,” I finally blurt out, not wanting her to sit on anything with her black dress pants. “In fact, Felicia and I were using it when you interrupted us.”

“I know. I was just messing with you,” she says with a sly grin. “One of my clients goes on and on about his Tantra Chair in almost every session. It’s given him a new lease on life and his sex life has never been hotter. He’s sixty-nine, by the way.”

“Seriously? He’s sixty-nine?” I laugh, slicing a bagel and throwing it in the toaster. “So, you’ve been talking to Jessica?”

“Yes, we’ve talked a few times,” she says, her tone immediately taking on a serious note. “She’s carrying my first grandchild, so when she reached out, I thought I should connect with her. Since you’ve been giving her the cold shoulder, it seemed like the right thing to do.”

“She impregnates herself using my discarded condoms and you wonder why I’ve been giving her the cold shoulder?” I roll my eyes. “You know I wasn’t planning on having kids.”

“Yeah. Neither is your sister,” she huffs. “That’s why I figure this is probably my only shot at a grandchild.”

“I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?” Felicia asks, having silently returned from the bedroom.

“Felicia! Hi!” Mom gushes, taking a couple of quick strides to greet her. “I just love those rosy cheeks of yours.” She reaches out and gives her a quick hug. “We were just talking about my future grandchild.”

“Yeah, I heard that,” she says, shooting me a sideways glance. “Once it’s confirmed to be Rex’s child, I’m sure he’ll do the right thing.”

“Well, after the way he’s treated her, it probably won’t be that simple. Taking seventeen thousand dollars from her in exchange for sex.” Mom shakes her head and looks away.

“I’m right here, Mom.” I roll my eyes and begin to regret answering the door. “So, you’ve been listening to her side of the story and believing everything she tells you? You do realize she’s been trying to extort money from me ever since she managed to get pregnant.”

“She didn’t have an easy childhood. Her mother basically tried to trick a famous Hollywood director into marrying her,” she reiterates, telling me what I already knew. “He left the country, completely abandoning them, so she never even got a chance to meet him.”

“And then she tries to do the same thing, because it worked out so well for her mother,” I scoff, not cutting her any slack.

“She did what she knew. The woman has no self-confidence.” Mom picks up a vase and looks at it as if she’s inspecting for dust. “She’s intelligent and beautiful, but daddy issues are so hard to get past. In the end, though, she got a trust fund because she is legally his daughter.”

“Is she a client of yours or something?” I ask, beginning to wonder how deep their relationship has grown.

“No, that would be a conflict of interest, especially with the pending court case,” she counters, looking at me as if I’ve asked a stupid question. “Unless, of course, you’ve decided to drop it.”

“I’m keeping my options open for now.” I drop a pod in the Nespresso to make a cup of coffee. “Things will get real after the baby arrives.”

“The stress of not knowing what you’re going to do isn’t good for her or the baby,” she says, narrowing her eyes. “Keep that in mind.”

“The baby has been on my mind ever since I found out,” I reply sharply. “I’m going to do what I can to make sure it gets the best possible shot in life.”

“It’s… a boy,” she says with a softer expression. “You’re going to have a son, and I would love the opportunity to get to know him.”

“Like I said, I’m keeping my options open. I just need a little time to work through things.” I take a long sip from the mug. “I haven’t even had my morning coffee yet.”

“I know,” Mom says, her hands fluttering in front of her. “I have a new client at eleven o’clock and I just wanted to talk to you before then. It’s a referral from Jessica, actually. Have you ever heard of Kathy Summers?”

“Seriously? And you wonder why I give Jessica the cold shoulder.” I pretend to beat the back of my head against the cupboard door. “Kathy is a woman who has been hell-bent on becoming a client of mine, despite my repeatedly telling her that I’m no longer in the surrogate business.”

“It’s true,” Felicia pipes up. “She sends him nasty pictures all the time and is up to ten grand for a single night with him. I had the pleasure of meeting her at the trade show and she’s totally aggressive.”

“Hmm, Jessica said she was a little obsessive,” Mom says, looking at her watch. “Well, I’d better get back to the city. I just wanted to see where the hell you two have been hiding out. I’m actually looking forward to meeting Kathy. People like her intrigue me.”

“I can give you a short list of crazies if you want to meet more of them,” I tell her, leading her back to the front door. “There were at least a couple of dozen whom I’ve run across over the years.”

“No. I’m good with two for now,” she says, reaching out and giving me an awkward hug. “I’ll keep you posted on what I find out from our meetings.” She reaches over and gives Felicia an equally awkward hug. Watching her technique on someone else makes me chuckle. It’s like she’s trying to give her a hug without actually touching her. Displaying affection definitely doesn’t come easy for her.

“Yeah, it’s probably okay to have you on the inside, as long as she trusts you,” I tell her, knowing that any information she can give me is a good thing. “And if you can deprogram Kathy, I’d appreciate it.”

“That’s usually not possible, but I at least want to figure out what made her so terribly obsessive. I’m just glad to know she wasn’t actually a client of yours.”

“Yeah, thank God she didn’t contact me until after I had already quit.” I shake my head, not wanting to even think about having both her and Jessica to deal with.

“You two have a good day,” she says with a smirk. “Let me know if you can get me a good deal on one of those sex chairs.” She gives us a quick wink before turning and heading down the stairs.

“And here you thought it would be safe having it out here,” Felicia whispers with a distraught look on her face. “I knew we should’ve had it in the bedroom.”

“Who cares? We’re both adults. She just couldn’t resist teasing us about it.” I slip my arms around her and pull her close. “Mom has dealt with more than her share of sexual deviants. Nothing about our sex life would shock her in the slightest.”

“Okay, I guess I’m the only one who has to get comfortable with it,” she replies, reaching over and pulling the string on my sweatpants. “Maybe if you pick up where we left off, it will clear my mind.”
