Daisy (Archer's Creek Book 2) by Gemma Weir (27)

Fucking hell.

Angel’s riding my dick, her tits bouncing and she’s screaming as she comes like a fucking train. I can’t help feeling a bit smug, but that quickly disappears when her tight as hell pussy clamps down on my dick as she orgasms again.

My balls hurt. I’ve needed to come since yesterday, but as much as I like her hands on my cock, I wanted to be buried balls deep in her. I’ve never felt so lucky in my life and I don’t ever want this to end. I’ve never craved a woman like I do Angel. Hell, I’m still fucking her and I already want her again.

I can feel my own release building in my gut, but I’m not ready for this to be over yet. She’s gonna need a few hours to recover and I want to keep her wet and screaming all day. Closing my eyes for a second, I hold her hips and work her up and down my length, teasing myself with short, shallow thrusts that will hopefully make this last a bit longer.

Her fingers wrap around my wrists and I open my eyes to find hers, lust-filled and sated, staring back at me. Her hair is tousled, and her lips are pink and swollen. All thoughts of making this last fly out the window, my balls pull tight and I pull her down hard onto me. Two more thrusts and I explode. Hot spurts of cum fill the condom and I wish more than anything that I could feel her skin to skin.

A groan bubbles from the back of my throat, as more cum bursts from me. Slowing her movements, I work myself down, emptying my balls and letting the trembling in my arms settle to an invisible vibration beneath my skin.

Our movements slow to a stop and I push up to a sitting position, pulling her legs around my waist and wrapping her in my arms. “I love you so fucking much,” I growl against her hair.

“I love you too,” she whispers in reply.

I don’t know how long I hold her in my arms. I don’t want to let her go. I don’t want this to end. I’ve had a lot of sex, but it’s never been as good as this. I’ve fucked women with moves like a porn star and I’d take Angel’s perfect inexperience every fucking time.

Reluctantly I lift her off me and she groans as my still hard cock slides from her wet pussy. Quickly disposing of the condom, I pull her back into my arms and lean back against the pillows, her naked body stretched out on top of me.

“What do you want to do today?” I ask.

“Stay here with you.”

I laugh. “Okay, baby, I like that idea.”

So that’s what we do, we shower together and then get back into bed. I throw on sweats and get us food but other than that we spend the entire day in our bubble. Just me and her, young, free and in love.

When the bright daylight turns to dusk I slide back into her and this time we take it slow. I worship her body and bask in the feeling of her. Unhurriedly I make love to her and for the first time in my life I see what the difference is. When she orgasms, I swallow her cries and when I come a few minutes later she tells me she loves me.

I wake up the next morning filled with a sense of impending doom. Today’s the fifth day. Today’s the day that Angel’s dad has to pay up what he owes to Carduccio. This is the day he was supposed to hand her over to be married off or pimped out to Carduccio’s son, or whoever the fuck else the illustrious senator decided to give her to.

In theory, after today it’s all over. Angel should be safe. As far as we know Carduccio no longer sees Angel’s value as equal to her father’s debt, so the mayor’s going to have to settle what he owes in cold, hard cash.

Tomorrow Angel can walk away and not fear her father using her as collateral. She could walk away from me. Running away and starting over somewhere new was always her plan. The only reason she’s still here is because we convinced her that this was the safest place for her until this was all over.

I don’t know if I can let her go. She’s told me she loves me, and I love her, but is that enough to keep her in a place so close to people who abused her and tried to sell her? If she leaves, can I turn my back on the club and the people I see as my family to go with her?

Watching her sleep in my arms, I try to imagine what my life would be like without her. I can’t. Even after such a short time she feels intrinsically linked to what happiness feels like. I’ve never considered myself a caveman when it comes to women, but then I’ve never had anyone like Angel in my life. She’s mine and I just don’t think I can let her go.

She starts to stir, and I watch as she stretches out her arms and legs like a sleepy kitten. She seems so young and I feel like even more of a bastard for wanting to keep her. She deserves a fresh start, a chance to find out who she is without the shadow of the last few years hanging over her, in a town that her father doesn’t run. But the possessive, selfish part of me isn’t prepared to set her free, even if it might be what’s best for her.

“Hey,” she says her voice full of sleep.

“Good morning, beautiful.”

A knock on the door interrupts us and I climb out of the bed, dropping a quick kiss on Angel’s head as I grab some sweats, pull them on and open the door.

“Hey,” Smoke says.

“What’s up?” I ask.

“Prez wants to speak to you and Dove,” Smoke says with a wry smile.

I nod. “Okay, tell him we’ll be out soon. Dove’s only just woken up.”

He taps the door frame with his knuckles, nods and leaves. Closing the door behind him I turn to find Angel sitting up in bed, the sheet pulled up to cover her breasts. “Sorry, baby. We can’t hide out today. Prez wants to talk to us.”

She groans and I chuckle, amused at her defiant attitude. I fucking love that she’s starting to lose the frightened rabbit look from her eyes. I’d like to think that I’ve got something to do with her feeling safe enough to show some of her personality, but truth be told her strength and determination is all her. All I’ve done is give her somewhere safe to stay, where her dad can’t beat the shit out of her.

Pulling her from the bed, I carry her to the bathroom and she watches as I turn the shower on. I pull her with me under the warm spray and we wash quickly. After I’ve wrapped her in a towel, she follows me out to the bedroom. I get dressed while she brushes out her wet hair and braids it back into two fancy braids, then I watch as she opens the closet and decides on an outfit.

The towel is wrapped tightly round her while she lifts clothes from hangers and pulls underwear from the drawers. I half expect her to run into the bathroom to get changed, but instead she drops the towel and I get a fucking perfect view of her naked ass. She slides on another one of the silky G-strings and I groan and fight the urge to go bite her round, smooth ass cheeks.

A tiny white summer dress with black dots on falls down her back, obscuring my view of her ass, then she bends over to pull on black boots. Straightening, she slides her arms into a fitted black leather jacket and then spins to face me. Her nipples are pushing against the fabric of the dress and I hiss under my breath.

“Baby, you need to put a fucking bra on, your nipples are showing.”

“I can’t. I only brought one bra with me and it broke the day before yesterday. Grits only brought me these stringy panties that are sticking up my butt,” She says self-consciously looking down at her chest.

I step closer to her and run my hands underneath her dress until I’m cupping her ass. “I fucking love these panties. I’ll take you to go get some bras tomorrow or you can go with Grits if you’d rather not get fucked in a changing room.”

“What?” she gasps.

I chuckle. “Angel, if I have to watch you try on underwear, I’m gonna end up fucking you. I just saw you pull on a pair of panties and I’m ready to bend you over the bed and take you right now.”

Her eyes widen in shock, but it quickly turns to lust. She likes the idea of me fucking her like that and so do I. God the image of her ass in the air while I fuck her from behind, has my cock pushing against my jeans and my hands itching to push her down and flip up that tiny dress of hers.

“Later,” I say, taking her hand and pulling her toward the door before I change my mind.

Walking over to the breakfast spread I make us a plate to share, then with the plate in one hand and Angel’s hand held tightly in the other, I lead us the short distance to Anders office. Angel knocks on the door and Anders shouts for us to enter. Releasing her hand, I hold the door open for her. She brushes against my body as she passes me, and I take the chance to glance at her ass in that dress again.

We both slide into the seats in front of Prez’s desk that are starting to feel like our seats and I hand Angel the plate. “Eat,” I say tipping my chin at the muffins and biscuits.

Blade sits to our left and I nod at him in greeting “Brother,” then I turn to Anders, “Prez.”

He nods at me and then his gaze moves to Angel. His expression instantly gentles, and he smiles at her. “Good morning, my Little Dove, how you doing?”

Angel smiles brightly. “Good morning, Anders. I’m good thank you. How are you?”

“Well, I’m fine, thank you, sweetheart,” Anders coos at her.

I watch the interaction between my club president and my girl and I fight back the smile that threatens to overtake my face. Anders is a scary fucking bastard. He’s hard and uncompromising and before Angel came into my life I’m not ashamed to admit that I had a healthy fear of him. But seeing him melt at my sweet girl’s words and smiles has kind of ruined his hard ass persona.

“Good morning, Blade,” Angel turns to Blade and smiles at him.

“Morning, Dove. Life as an old lady seems to be suiting you. You look beautiful today, honey,” Blade says, his eyes taking in her tiny white dress and bare legs.

I growl in warning and Blade laughs. “I’m just paying the lady a compliment, brother,” he says, his voice laced with amusement.

Prez settles himself behind his desk and we all fall silent, waiting for him to break whatever news he called us in here to tell us. “We’ve had word from Carduccio’s people that Dove is no longer an ‘asset’ that they’re interested in.”

Dove’s sigh of relief is audible, and I reach over and squeeze her knee reassuringly.

Prez continues speaking. “Dove’s daddy’s debt is due today in cold hard cash, so by this time tomorrow this should all be over. Unless Mayor Jefferies chooses not to pay up, but either way Carduccio has no further interest in Dove. As far as they’re concerned Dove belongs to the Sinners and any value she might have had previously is no longer valid.”

“What will happen if my father doesn’t pay?” Angel asks.

Blade speaks up and we all turn to look at him. “Carduccio normally sends his goons in to collect. But a hundred grand isn’t chump change. My guess would be that Carduccio will take the house.”

“Our house?” Angel cries.

Blade shrugs. “Does your father have anything else that’s worth a hundred K?”

“I don’t know. I don’t think so,” she says, her hands twisted together in her lap.

“We can’t, and we won’t step in to help him, little one,” Anders tells her, his voice soft but unyielding.

Angel sits straighter in her chair. “I know. I would never expect you to. He’s not worthy of anyone’s help. But my mama, well she doesn’t deserve any of this.”

“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Anders says, his face solemn.

She nods, pulls in a deep breath and then smiles. “Don’t be sorry. Maybe if my father loses the house, my mama will come to her senses and leave him. That’s all I want for her. To realize that she doesn’t need to stay with him.”

Reaching over, I take her hand in mine and pull it to my lips. As much as I want to there’s nothing I can say to make her feel better. I can’t force her mom to leave her asshole of a father and I don’t want to give her false hope by talking about it.

The room falls silent and I wait for Prez to tell us we can go. Instead he smiles at Angel. “Dove, sweetheart, why don’t you go find Grits? She’s clambering at the bit to see you. Take your breakfast with you and go finish it, you’re too skinny.”

She nods and stands. I jump from my chair and drop a quick kiss on her lips. Handing her the plate I pull open the door to the office and say quietly. “I’ll come find you, okay?”

I watch her sashay into the bar and keep my eyes on her until I see Grits pulling her into a hug. Closing the door, I turn back around and steel myself for whatever Prez didn’t want to say in front of Angel.

“What’s going on?” I ask, settling myself back into my chair.

“Nothing yet. I had Puck take a look at Jefferies finances and like Dove said he’s cash poor. He’s been living it up, trying to play with the big boys and get himself elected as Governor, but he ran out of money and that’s how he ended up getting mixed up with Carduccio. The house is mortgaged up to the hilt, and he’s got no assets to sell or barter with,” Prez says.

“So, is Angel still on the table? I thought you said Carduccio had lost interest,” I ask.

“According to our sources, Carduccio has no interest in Dove. But that doesn’t mean that her father hasn’t been throwing around her photo to anyone who might have an interest in the girl trade.”

My breathing starts to labor. Anger builds in my chest and my fingers clench into fists. “That fucking bastard has a death wish. What the hell is wrong with him? She’s his daughter, his kin.”

“Calm down,” Anders orders. “No-one’s interested in a teenager whose face has been splashed over every TV network in the state. He’s fucked, and he knows it, but that makes him stupid and reckless.”

“This idiot is starting to piss me off. Dove’s a sweet girl, although I don’t know how the fuck she’s ended up that way with that asshat for a father. We need to get rid of him,” Blade says, his voice low and menacing.

I swing my head to Blade and smile. Since Angel turned up he’s been surprisingly quiet and I was starting to think he was pissed that her arrival had dragged us into her dad’s mess.

Anders glares at Blade. “We’re not murderers. That might have been the way they handled things back in the desert, but we don’t run things like that here.”

“I can make an exception. I’ll even throw my Nevada cut on that day if that’ll put your mind at ease, Prez,” Blade says condescendingly.

“You came here to get away from all that,” Prez snaps.

Blade sits up straighter in his seat. “Yeah, well that was until an eighteen-year-old girl ended up on our doorstep covered in bruises and running from her daddy. Some people don’t deserve to walk God’s good earth and men who try to sell their daughters are at the top of that list.”

Prez sighs, drops his head and rubs at the skin between his eyebrows. “I know.”

My head flits between the prez and vice prez like I’m watching a tennis match. They’re talking about killing Angel’s dad. I’ll admit I’ve wished him dead a few times in the last four days, but to actually do it, to take a life, that’s some serious shit. The Sinners aren’t walking the straight and narrow in terms of the law but growing weed and a bit of distribution is a hell of a long way from cold-blooded murder.

At this moment I feel like a fish out of water. I already knew that other Sinners chapters were into heavier shit than we are. Hell, Prez only told me a few days ago about the whorehouses his old chapter ran, but Blade, my V.P., talking about coming out of retirement to kill Jefferies is still a fucking shocker.

I don’t want to look like a fucking pansy, so I keep my mouth shut and watch as Anders and Blade work through their silent standoff.

“It’ll be a last resort,” Anders finally says.

Blade nods. “Fair enough.”

My breathing gets shallow and my heart races. I wait for the punchline, for them to tell me they’re joking. but they don’t. Instead an intensity descends over the room as they lock eyes and nod.

“What the fuck is going on?” I rasp out. “Did you just agree to kill him?”

Blade turns hard eyes on me. “She’s your woman, Daisy. Do you want to spend the next however many years thinking that he’s trying to pimp her out to cover his debts? Do you want to always wonder if he’s planning to try to take her back? He sees her as property, and when she ran she cost him a hundred grand. Men like that don’t move on from that shit. Is it fair to her to be cooped up in the compound because she’ll never be one hundred percent safe? She’s eighteen and she’s been a virtual prisoner for the last five years. She’s already coming out of her shell; she’s smiling and speaking and yeah she still flinches, but that haunted, dead look is starting to fade from her eyes. Are you prepared to lock her up until he dies of old age just to keep her safe?”

Staring at him, I let his words sink in. I don’t want her to live like that, she deserves to be happy. “No,” I say firmly.

Blade looks proudly at me. “Exactly. I did this kind of shit for years. I walked away from that life because my soul had gotten so black I couldn’t do it anymore. But Dove is a bright light and I’ll happily do this for her, for you.”

I hold out my hand and Blade takes it. We shake and in that moment, I know I’ll owe him a debt for the rest of my life. “Thank you,” I say, my voice thick.

“You got yourself a good woman, brother,” Blade offers quietly.

“This is a last resort,” Prez says loudly, and we all nod, silently wondering what else could happen to resolve this peacefully.

After the revelations and agreements are done with, I make my way back to Angel and lose myself in her soft curves and her tight pussy. We don’t talk about her father. I think we’ve somehow come to a silent agreement that here in our bubble he doesn’t exist, so we don’t acknowledge him.

That night we venture into the bar and sit with my brothers, drinking and chatting like we’re a normal couple and this is a normal night. We crawl into bed well after midnight and I pull her into my arms, holding her body close against mine. “I love you, baby,” I whisper into her neck.
