What the fuck am I doing? Here I am, rubbing lotion all over my daughter's best friend while she's out getting pizza. What would Jessica say if she came home right now?

I'm torn between listening to my mind and listening to my body. They're each telling me something different. My mind is being rational – as it usually is – reminding me that Amy is my daughter's best friend. Not only that, but she's only half my age.

My body, though – my body is telling me something quite different. My eyes can't stop looking at Amy's gorgeous sun-kissed skin, her sexy legs and magnificent ass. My god, look at that ass. It takes every ounce of restrain in my being to not grab and squeeze it with both hands right now. Speaking of my hands, running them all over her smooth back and legs, feeling her soft skin against mine, it's all driving me wild. My cock is already half erect, which I'm hoping the cold water will take care of. The last thing I want is for Jessica to come home and see her dad touching her friend with half a pitched tent in his swim trunks.

I squirt some more lotion into my hands and rub them together long enough to warm it. Positioning myself so I can reach all the way down to Amy's feet, I press both lotion-filled hands into the top of her legs, just underneath her bikini bottom. Slowly, I run them down the backs of her legs, spreading the lotion evenly all the way down.

“Mmm,” Amy moans.

Fuck, this girl's killing me. If only Amy knew the effect she has on me. Between that high-pitched moan and the silky smoothness of her legs, my dick is no longer half erect – now it's ready for action. I have to get in the pool without Amy noticing.

“There you go,” I say. “All set. I'm gonna go for a dip now.”

“Thank you, Scott,” she replies. “That felt a-maze-zing!”

No, Amy: thank you. You feel fucking amazing.

“You're very welcome.”

I slowly stand up, holding my towel over my crotch to hide the massive erection I have. Fortunately, I think Amy's eyes are closed. It's hard to tell because she's wearing sunglasses, but they look closed. I stand up and turn toward the pool, tossing my towel on the ground. I'm relieved, knowing I haven't been caught with a large piece of wood in my shorts. I walk over to the pool and prepare to jump in.

“And, Mr Ha... I mean Scott,” Amy says, picking her head up and looking over at me. “Thank you for getting dinner and especially for remembering my cheese bread sticks. You've always taken such good care of me. You're like a father figure to me. So, yeah, thank you for everything. That's all.”

Amy puts her head back down before I get a chance to reply. Did she the tent I'm pitching? With her sunglasses on, I couldn't tell where she was looking. I hope not, but there's nothing I can do about it now if she did.

“You welcome, Amy,” I reply. “You're always welcome.”

I take a couple running steps and jump into the pool. The water's warm but refreshing. I sink all the way down until I feel the bottom with my feet and push myself up toward the surface. As my head splashes out of the water, I take a deep breath and rub the water out of my eyes.

Looking at Amy laying there, her words remind me of my place in her life. Father figure. That's what she called me: a father figure. Even though I know that anything happening between me and her is nothing but an absurd fantasy, it's still fun to fantasize. I like to think that the only thing stopping me from fucking her is that she's my daughter's best friend. The truth is, what's stopping me from fucking her is the fact that she's not interested in me. I know some girls like older guys, but Amy said I'm like a father figure. I'm sure what that means is that she's not attracted to me – not like that, anyway – at all. Doesn't it?

I swim laps, back and forth, for a couple minutes until I'm out of breath. Swimming has always been one of my favorite ways to maintain my cardiovascular health. As a firefighter, I need to always be in the best shape possible. A good swim is a great way to stay in shape and it helps me to clear my mind. Not only did the swimming help to clear my mind, it also helped me get rid of the raging erection I was sporting.

Once my heart rate slows, I start swimming laps again until I'm absolutely exhausted – and then I swim a few more. Now that my arms and legs are barely functional, I use what little strength I have left to lift myself out of the pool. I sit on the cement with my legs still in the water while I catch my breath.

“Your endurance is amazing, Scott,” Amy says. “Most guys my age can't even swim like that.”

“Thanks,” I say. “When I was in the Marine Corps, they taught us that, when you think you're at your limit, when you think you can't keep going, you're wrong. It's all in the mind. They called it the forty percent rule. When you think you're at your limit, you're actually only at forty percent of what you're capable of. When I was swimming, my mind told me to stop after about twenty laps. I kept going, though, until I literally couldn't swim another inch. I counted fifty-two laps that time.”

“Wow,” Amy says, lifting her sunglasses, revealing her gorgeous eyes. “You're so inspiring, Scott. Seriously. And so... so manly. I mean, Marine Corps. Firefighter. It doesn't get any manlier than that! And you're a single father on top of it all. Actually, now that Jessica's all grown up and will be leaving for college in a month, what are you gonna do? You gonna start dating? Maybe find yourself a nice woman to spend some time with?”

“Oh, I don't know. Believe it or not, I actually get hit on all the time, but none of the women that I've met really interest me.”

“Oh, I believe it! What type of woman does interest you?”

The type that's sitting a few feet away from me. The type I've watched blossom into the breathtakingly beautiful young woman that she is today. The type that's totally forbidden, unfortunately.

“Honestly?”

“Of course!”

“I like helping people. I like teaching. I want a woman who's intelligent, but inexperienced. Someone I can explore the world with. I want a woman who's innocent, but not naive. Someone I can teach and mold. Someone that looks up to me. A woman that looks at me like I'm her superhero. I don't know. That probably sounds stupid.”

I feel like an idiot. I'm just rambling on and on about what kind of woman I want and it sounds ridiculous. For some reason, Amy seems really interested in what I'm saying. She's taken her glasses off and I can follow her eyes. She looks me up and down as I speak, with a look of awe on her face.

“That doesn't sound stupid at all, Scott. You want a woman who hasn't been corrupted by this cold, cruel world of ours. You want someone that you can teach and protect. There's nothing stupid about that at all. Is there anyone in your life that fits that description? Anyone you have your eye on?”

Yeah. You.

“No. Not really. I mean, there is someone that I have in mind, but she's off limits.”

“She's married? Boyfriend?”

“No. No, it's nothing like that.”

“Then what's stopping you from going after her? She'd have to be crazy to not be into you.”

I don't know why, but playing this little game with Amy is fun. In my mind, I'm talking about her. In her mind, she probably thinks I'm talking about some forty-year-old woman I know from work or something.

The truth is, she's the only woman in my life that I'm attracted to. Everything about her drives me wild. She's so innocent, but not stupid. In fact, Amy's wise beyond her years. Every once in a while, she comes out and says something that blows my mind. And her body... her face... head to toe, the girl's a fucking knock out. I would love to take her under my wing and teach her everything I know. I could make that girl feel things she never knew were possible. I'd have Amy screaming my name at the top of her lungs in that sexy voice of hers. This girl turns me on in every conceivable way.

I don't know why I torture myself like this. I know that I can't have her. Maybe that's why I want her so badly. The whole forbidden fruit thing.

“I don't think she'd be into me. Even if she was, it wouldn't matter. There are other reasons that her and I could never be together.”

Amy gets up and walks over to where I'm sitting. She sits down next to me, dangling her legs in the pool. Fuck, she's sexy.

“Well, that's too bad. I hope I'm not prying. I'm just curious, is all. I've known you almost my entire life, yet I don't really know too much about you.”

“There's not much to know, Amy. I'm a pretty simple guy, I think. Now, what about you? I know Jessica broke up with her boyfriend shortly after graduation. Smart girl. With her going off to college and him going, well, nowhere, it was the right thing to do. Long distance relationships rarely work. Do you have a boyfriend? I bet the boys go crazy over you.”

And men. And probably a lot of women, too.

“Nope. No boyfriend. None of the guys in high school really appealed to me. Too immature, I guess. Maybe I'll like college boys better, but I doubt it.”

“That doesn't really surprise me. I was just thinking about how mature you seem for your age.”

Amy smiles and says, “Awww, thank you, Scott. That means the world to me, coming from you. Maybe that's why I just can't seem to find a guy my own age that I'm attracted to. Maybe I need to find an older man, someone that isn't just interested in getting drunk and acting stupid.”

An older man, huh? How much older?

“Well, you'll find what you're looking for, Amy. I promise. You're an amazing young woman that most guys would kill to spend five minutes with.”

“Thank you, Scott. You're always there for me. You know what I need?”

“What?”

“I need to find a guy like you,” Amy says and puts her hand on my knee. “A good-looking older guy who doesn't play games. I doubt I could ever find a nice, handsome older guy that would want to be a with an immature virgin girl like me, though. What do you think? Do you think a guy like you would ever wanna be with a girl like me?”

Virgin? No fucking way. I just assumed that Amy's had sex before. I mean, fuck – look at her! The girl oozes sexuality from every pore in her body. Now I want to fuck her more than ever. My eyes glance down at my leg and see her perfectly-manicured hand sitting on top of it. Her perfectly-manicured virgin hand. All I can picture is having it wrapped around my cock. I don't know what comes over me but, in a moment of weakness, I can't help myself. I'm gonna tell her what I really think about her.

“If Jessica ever found out what I'm about to tell you, she'd kill me, so please don't repeat it.”

“Of course, Scott! You can trust me.”

“The truth is, I find you to be absolutely fucking...”

I'm interrupted by the sound of the gate to the backyard opening.

“Pizzas here!” my daughter yells.
