Forbidden (The Soul Mates Book 4) by Victoria Johns (36)

Carly Sevens

“Baby! It’s over. I’ve finished. I’m home!” I raced through after slamming the front door with my college education firmly behind me. It was all down to exam marking now and firmly in the lap of the Gods. If I was honest, though, I wasn’t too worried. I was smart. I’d put the time and effort in and worked my ass off to make sure that the next phase of my life would be successful. I also had bigger things looming on the horizon. Those two things were also getting bigger. Baggy sweatshirts and lycra yoga pants were only hiding so much. I’d made the switch in clothes after sitting one painful exam in jeans and feeling like the blood supply to my lower half had been cut off. I couldn’t believe how fast they were growing. “Where are you? I feel like we should be burning books and dancing naked in a circle, chanting in celebration.”

Still no answer, as I kicked off my shoes and hung up my jacket.

When I finally landed in the living room, my man was stood stark bollock naked with a congratulations banner pinned on the wall above him, holding a tray of chocolate donuts and a very cheeky grin. “I like the dance naked suggestions, but I’ve got other naked plans.”

I was already peeling off my clothes as he finished. When I finally got rid of them, I groaned, rubbing my growing belly.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, my clothes aren’t keen on this body change. Even the elasticated ones.”

When I looked back at Jack, he was staring transfixed at my belly. He did this a lot, like I was a miracle and the first person he’d even seen bear a child.

“You’re growing, baby.” He smiled proudly.

“I’m growing two babies.”

“I meant you. I know you’re growing two babies, but you’re changing. You have this adorable pouch forming.” Jack moved and so did the donuts, and the smell wasn’t pleasant. “Your tits are magnificent. I love the things you let me do to them.” He weighed them in turn in his one free hand, waving the sicky chocolate smell in front of me. “And your nipples are bigger and they harden up much more quickly. And the color is darker. They make me want to ravish them every time I see them.”

His description made me shudder with desire. What was happening to me was something so normal and natural, but he made the changes in my body sound so erotic.

“I can see the veins along the side of them through your snow white skin. They’re getting ready to feed my babies. But for now, I’ll feed off of them. I’ll eat them.”

“Jack…” I swallowed. My hormones were on fire, permanently.

“But first, would you like to feed off me? I do believe I have your favorite dish. Chocolate donuts and my rock hard cock.”

The plate of donuts was now firmly put under my nose as he waggled his eyebrows. The smell was definitely not good. So much so that I backed away.”

“No! Not donuts, too. Damn these babies are going to turn me into Pineapple Pete. Now I know why they ended up fucking around with asparagus. It was all trial and error.”

“Sorry, baby.” I laughed. His cute, sulky face was just to too much. “Wanna make out instead?”

“Hell yeah!” Jack dumped the donuts and followed me as I swayed my hips and ass to the bedroom.

What I found in there shocked me. “Uh… what’s going on?” There were boxes everywhere.

“Surprise!”

That it was. I didn’t understand; all our stuff was boxed away.

“We’re going home, baby. Tonight. Your exams are done; my job is done. We go by your frat fuck house and pick up the rest of your gear and then leave.”

“Can’t we wait a few days?” Or maybe a few years, possibly a decade. I was terrified. Going home meant starting our life outside the bubble world that worked for us. It meant sharing the news that we were very much two people together and that my parents didn’t approve of us. It also meant telling the world the joyous news that those two people were about to become four. I had hopes that my dad would mellow, but so far nothing, and skipping through the door pregnant was unlikely to convince him to come to terms with our stuff. “How about I follow on in a few days with my things.”

“Carly,” Jack said. “My family don’t go road tripping without me. I don’t care who knows we’re together. Everyone is just going to have to get the fuck over it.”

My man started to kiss me and I was losing the fight in my argument. I knew he was going to sex my agreement out of me, “Where are we going to stay. Your parents won’t be happy with our news.”

“We’re staying at my brother’s cabin, and don’t be so sure. My parent’s will be fine.”

“With Jonas?” That was scary stuff. He was scary stuff. Jack was getting busy now. I didn’t have long left to object and turn this around. “Do I have a choice?”

“No, my pretty girl. Where I am, my family is. Get used to that.”

And as predicted, he sexed me into submission with, let’s face it, very little effort needed.

Damn hormones.

* * *

Jack had arranged the movers to take what we couldn’t fit in our car. Essentially, we had two addresses to pack up, and he insisted on using most of the car space for my gear from the shared house. I would have liked to convince myself that they were shocked when I turned up with him in toe, but they weren’t. The girls had been discussing my disappearance and secret love affair for some time, and Sascha had done some detective work. It turned out none of them had ratted us out because they thought it wouldn’t last, although a couple of them kept quiet in the hopes that they would get to have a go at some ‘Mr. Griggs lovin’.’ Sascha knew this was different for us. She was the one person I could talk to in the house and knew that we had grown up in the same town and had a friendship long before college.

Sascha was helping me move my boxes, and like he couldn’t wait to spread the news, he insisted on taking my load. “A woman in your condition shouldn’t be carrying anything.” It would seem that those few words were easily translatable in any language and to say that Sascha was shocked was an understatement.

I’d been keeping in touch with Xavier via text and I’d only really seen him at group study sessions. He knew I’d met someone, and because Jack was not keen on letting me spend time alone with someone who had been that close to my naked body, I came clean and told him what was going on. Xavier was surprised by who my mystery man was and it took some time to convince him that this wasn’t some cliché college romance. Secretly, he was impressed. His life was on a very defined path and he admitted he was jealous of the chance to just go off piste and do something a little crazy and forbidden. I knew when I left college I would try to keep in touch with him. If we maintained contact then I was sure we would remain friends for life. If we didn’t then I hadn’t lost anything by knowing him.

This was it.

I was really about to pack up my bubble world and go home.

I’d arrived a young girl with dreams of securing an epic career and I was leaving a woman in love, preparing to become a mother who was cast aside from her family in shame.

I figured Jack was letting me have some thinking time at the beginning of the journey, but it didn’t take long for him to break the silence. He hated it when I went into my own head. I know he still thought I was trying to convince myself to back out of it all. “You know whatever happens, I won’t let them upset you or cause you any stress. You and these babies are the center of my world and I plan for us to enjoy this pregnancy. Just like new parents should.”

“I know that.”

“So… uh… want to get married on the way?”

My head spun in his direction and his gaze didn’t falter. I knew when I looked at him he was completely serious.

I also knew that was one thing he wouldn’t have to sex out of me.

I’d marry him in a heartbeat.
