Always You: The Fate of Love Book 1 by Michele Notaro (12)

Chapter Eleven

Aaron

I’d barely crossed the door’s threshold when I was crushed into a hug. “Oh my god!” a woman who I assumed was Layla squealed at me. “It’s good to finally meet you.”

“Layla,” Finn chastised. “Let the man breathe, for fuck’s sake.”

“Oh, relax,” she muttered, but still released me. Then she stuck out her hand to shake. “I’m Layla.”

When I went to shake her hand, I noticed that I was still holding onto Finn’s hand. Or more like crushing his hand in a death grip. I sent Finn an apologetic smile as I released him, then shook Layla’s hand. “I’m Aaron. It’s good to meet you.”

She eyed me for a moment, then started speaking a million miles a minute at me. “You’re even sexier than I thought you’d be. I’ve seen some pictures of you from when you were a kid. Soooo… what are your intentions toward Finn? Are you planning on dating him? Do you even want to date? Are you ready for a serious relationship? A monogamous one? You’re not married, are you? Do you have kids? How many? What’s the longest relationship you’ve had since Finn? Do you have any pets? You’re not planning on breaking his heart again, are you? I’ll kick your ass.”

I blinked at her for a split second, then started answering her, “My intentions are to make Finn happy. Yes, I’m planning on dating him, I think we’re technically on a date right now. So yes to the next one. Another yes, I want a serious relationship, and monogamous. No, I’m not married. No kids, so zero. Two years. No pets. And absolutely not, I don’t plan on breaking his heart ever again. So hopefully you won’t have to kick my ass.” I grinned at her shocked face.

“How did you…?”

“I grew up with this one.” I pointed at Finn with my thumb. “If I ever wanted to keep up with him, I had to learn to keep track. He’s always talked at top speed.”

Finn started chuckling. “I shouldn’t have been surprised by that.”

I grinned at him, and he smiled back. For a moment, I got lost in his blue eyes.

But the moment was ruined when Layla cleared her throat and said, “Griff and I wanna have you both over for dinner next weekend. Is Sunday evening okay?”

Finn stared at me with wide eyes, like he was afraid that I would decline. So I answered Layla without looking away from him. “Sunday sounds great.” Finn breathed out a sigh of relief, so I reached out and grabbed his hand again. I still couldn’t believe that he was here. That I could hold his hand and just be near him. He was as gorgeous as ever, both on the outside and the inside.

I had no idea how long we stood like that, holding hands and staring into each other’s eyes. But Layla must’ve gotten fed up because she suddenly thrust a huge bag into Finn’s chest, saying, “Here. Take it and go have fun. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”

Finn snapped out of it and thanked her, then we made our goodbyes—Layla crushed me in another hug—and went on our way to the bank. Nothing really happened while we were waiting in line, nothing except for the fact that I was in heaven with Finn leaning against me, still holding my hand. Just that little bit of contact was making my body come alive. It felt right. Real. Like he was supposed to be there, by my side.

And I couldn’t believe he was.

I couldn’t believe that I finally had another chance with him. With my Finn.

By the time we got to my apartment, I was dying to just have him in my arms. Holding his hand was wonderful, I loved every second of it. But I still wanted more. I wanted to touch him. I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to feel him. I wanted to be felt by him. I wanted to feel his body underneath mine.

So when I shut the door, I practically attacked him. I pushed him against the door, a little harder than I’d meant to, and before he even caught his breath, I pressed my lips against his. I waited until he responded back, and as soon as I felt his tongue pushing my mouth open, I pressed my whole body against his. I’d always loved that he was smaller than me, that I could cover his entire body with my own. He fit against me like he was the puzzle piece that’d been missing for years, but I’d finally found. He completed the puzzle. My puzzle.

He fisted my shirt in his hands, pulling me against him. I had one hand on his hip, the other in his hair. Our kissing was frantic and desperate, like we were pouring every moment of hurt over the years into each other, trying to heal. Trying to become whole again.

I placed a small kiss on his eyebrow ring, then started kissing along his neck, whispering against his skin, “God, I missed you. I missed you so damn much.” I lightly bit down on his neck and hummed. I pulled the collar of his shirt down so I could taste more of his skin. I noticed the top of some kind of tattoo there, though I couldn’t tell what it was. Leaves, maybe? I didn’t care, I just wanted to get my mouth on him. “Mmm. Jesus, you taste good.” I made my way back up his neck and bit down on his earlobe, making him shiver. He’d always liked that. But then he suddenly pushed me away and I was afraid I’d done something wrong.

He looked me in the eye, panting. “Take me to your bedroom… I need you.”

I reached down and grabbed behind his thighs, pulling him up into my arms.

He yelped as he wrapped his arms and legs around me. “What’re you doing?” He didn’t even wait for a reply before he started kissing me again. He was devouring my mouth, his tongue exploring my mouth with a new vigor. I could feel his desperation pouring off him as he gripped my hair and tightened his legs around me. It felt fucking phenomenal. It felt like he needed me as much as I needed him.

I ran my hands over his back as I carried him into my bedroom. We never broke our kiss the whole way there. When I walked into the bedroom, I flicked on the light and sat down on the edge of the bed so he could sit in my lap without letting our mouths separate. I grabbed his ass and he ground his hips against me, causing us both to moan loudly. I found the hem of Finn’s shirt and shoved my hands underneath to feel his skin.

Somehow, our kissing deepened even further and our hands were everywhere as Finn kept grinding against me. I could feel his hard cock rubbing mine through our jeans, and I wanted nothing more than to get him naked. Immediately.

I started lifting Finn’s shirt, but he pulled back and grabbed my wrists. I looked at him in confusion. I thought we were on the same page. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

He was panting. Breathing so hard that his cock pushed against mine a little with each breath. He searched my eyes, then panted out, “The lights.”

I still didn’t understand. I’d seen him naked more times than I could count. Why the hell was he worried about the lights?

Before I could even say anything, he jumped off my lap, shut the door, hit the lights, then climbed back on top of me and took off his shirt. He grabbed my shirt and yanked it over my head before I could even blink. Then his mouth was on mine again and he was grinding against me.

I had blackout curtains, so it was pretty dark in there, but it wasn’t like I couldn’t see him. It was hard to see details, but I’d just have to deal for now. As much as I wanted to push him back so I could look him over, he was obviously uncomfortable with the idea, so I decided that I’d just have to inspect him close-up later. I was too eager to feel his skin against mine, anyway.

I pulled him flat against me so our chests were touching, and I shivered at the feel of his skin rubbing on mine.

Naked. I need you naked.

I was so lust-crazed that I couldn’t even speak.

I wrapped my arms around him, then rolled us so he was flat on his back and I was hovering over him. Then I started licking my way down his neck and his chest. I stopped there and nibbled on his nipples while I fumbled with his jeans. I was shaking with lust, adrenaline, and something I didn’t want to name yet. Fuck, I’d missed him so fucking much.

Finally. Fucking. Finally. I got his zipper down and yanked off his pants. I groaned when I saw his leaking cock. I wanted to taste it. Suck him down and swallow him whole.

But that didn’t happen. Finn sat up and grabbed my neck, pulling me to him until we were kissing again. He started fumbling with my jeans, and I could tell that he was trembling a little, too. He said against my lips, “Aaron…” He pushed my jeans down and grabbed my cock, pumping it in his fist. “Aaron… I need you. I need to feel you inside of me… Please…”

I shivered at the prospect. I hadn’t expected to fill him, at least, not yet. I’d figured we’d build back up to that, but shit. If he wanted me to fuck him, I was gonna fuck him.

No, I was gonna make love to him.

“Please, Aaron,” his soft voice begged.

I moaned a little as I reached for a condom and lube in my nightstand. I threw the items on the bed beside him, then pushed him back so I could cover him with my body again. He started rubbing his hands all over my skin, grabbing my ass, pulling my hair. He was everywhere, yet it still wasn’t enough. So I poured some lube on my fingers and searched for his hole.

As soon as I slid my finger into him, he moaned and sighed in pleasure, making me smile against his delicious lips.
