Art of Seduction (A Stern Family Saga Book 1) by Monique Orgeron (14)

Gabriel

Vin calls me to let me know Fallon met up with a friend and she drank entirely too much. He said after he takes her friend home, he would take Fallon back to Mother’s.

“What friend, Vin? Who the hell did she get drunk with?”

He tells me to rest assured; it was just a girlfriend, not a man. Now I find myself calming down. Then he tells me he did scare a couple of guys away from going up to them. He said they were getting loud, and a little vulgar. That was enough to set me off again. How dare she put herself in that kind of situation? If Vin wouldn’t have been there, she could have been attacked by some asshole just looking for easy prey. I calm myself down again because she’s safe, and she’s drunk. This I gotta see.

I make it home to Mom’s before they do; good, I can’t wait to see Fallon come in drunk. This is going to be fun. Part of me wants to scold her, but another part of me wants to tease her. I get to see her without her walls. It’s going to be interesting.

About thirty minutes later, I hear them coming up the stairs to the side door from the garage. I sit in a chair with my foot across my knee, lean back, and try to look like I’m ready to jump her shit. Part of me is not sure if that’s not exactly what I’m about to do.

The door opens, and she stumbles in singing, telling Vin to lighten up and sing with her. Her voice is so off key, it’s hilarious, but I still try to maintain a pissed off look, waiting for her to see me. The lights come on – and BOOM! She sees me.

Her head sinks. I almost feel bad; instead, I am partly sad. She looks ashamed. I don’t want her to look like that with me, but she has to know she can’t put herself in danger. So, I decided to go with a scolding.

“Fallon, are you drunk?”

Still with her head down, she drags out, “Maybe!” She then lets out a laugh. “Yes, Gabriel, I’m drunk, and you can suck it!”

“Suck it? Did you just tell me to suck it?”

“Yep.”

I gesture to Vin to leave. I give her a look, one that should scare her, but instead she starts laughing harder.

“Oh, Gabriel, your face. Stop! I can’t breathe!”

What the hell? Is she making fun of me?

“Are you making fun of me, Fallon?” I harshly ask.

“Yep, you’re so cute. I can’t help it.” Then she starts to talk in a low voice to try a sound like a man. “Fallon, are you drunk?” Laughing more, she goes on, “Fallon, are you making fun of me?”

Okay, that’s enough! I grab her, throw her over my shoulder, and swat her ass hard. That shuts her up at least for a minute. As I start to head up the stairs, she starts hitting my back, telling me to put her down.

She shouts, “Gabriel, put me down! You can’t do this! How dare you? You are not my father. I can do whatever I want. PUT ME DOWN!”

She continues to scream. As I pass down the hall, my mother pops her head out of her room. She gives me a look and smiles.

“Gabriel.”

I look at her as I pass. “Mother.”

Fallon yells, “Catherine, help me!”

My mom goes back to her room and closes the door.

I swat her ass again and tell her, “That’s for asking my mother for help.”

She shuts up after that one. I make it to her room, then slam the door. I swat her ass again just for the hell of it and ask her, “Are you going to behave now? I’ll put you down if you quit acting like a child.”

She agrees. I slowly slide her down my body. Once her feet hit the floor, she goes after me. Hitting and kicking, she then pushes at me, all to no avail. Now it’s my turn to laugh at her.

“You know, Gabriel, you’re an ass!”

“Really?” I can’t help chuckling.

“Yes, an ass, like a jackass, an asshole, whatever kind of an ass. You’re it.”

“And you’re drunk.”

“Well, we already know that, but I wanted you to know you’re an ass.”

“Well, I have been called worse,” I tell her.

She starts to laugh again.

“What’s so funny?”

“I just pictured you as an actual jackass, you know, ‘Hee Haw.’” She actually makes the sound of a donkey. “Hee Haw.” She then stops dry.

“What’s wrong, Fallon?”

“I think I’m going to be sick.”

“Sick?”

“Yeah, sick now!” She starts to panic.

She runs for the bathroom, then throws herself to the ground, hugging the toilet as I stand beside her. I turn to grab her hair up in my fist as she begins to vomit.

Once her stomach is empty, she leans back towards me and asks, “Why are you here, Gabriel?”

“Why are you drunk?”

She stands and goes to the lavatory. She throws her hair up in a messy bun. She starts to brush her teeth and wobbles a little. I go to her, to steady her so she can finish.

Once she’s done, I lead her to the bedroom. I stand her on the side of the bed. I turn her without a word and start to lower her zipper on her dress. It slides down her body, and I hold her hand so she can step out of her dress. She turns back around, and she is gorgeous standing there in her lace lingerie. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more stunning woman. I lean down to lower the comforter and sheets. I lay her down, then cover her. I take off the lights and climb into the bed with her. She turns to face me.

“You can leave, Gabriel.”

“I’m not going anywhere. You might get sick again.”

“I’ll be fine.”

“Still, I’m staying.”

She’s quiet for a few minutes, then says, “I know you want me, Gabriel, but you won’t let yourself have me. You better decide soon, because I am going to find someone who will want me without question.”

“What does that mean? Are you threatening me?”

“No, Gabriel, but I am going to date. I’m not waiting for you to decide.”

“Date?”

“Yes, I have a date, and I’m keeping it.” She starts to doze off and speaks very low, “You could have had me, all of me, but I have a date now, and he might have me.”

She starts to breathe heavy, and I know she fell asleep. I turn and lay flat on my back and consider what she just said. All of her.

I must have fallen asleep, because it’s morning. I find myself holding her tight to my body. Her back is to my chest, and we fit perfectly together. I also find myself under the sheets with her; her skin is so soft and warm. My arm is wrapped around her waist, and one of my legs is lying between her legs. It feels so good; no wonder I slept so well. I stay like this until I can’t take it anymore. She’s right, I do want her, but I can’t let myself have her.

I slowly slide my arm from around her and gently get out of bed, not waking her. I adjust my erection and grab my shoes to leave the room. I go into my new room, then shower and change. I decide to go to the kitchen to eat breakfast, and I see Mom and Liam are already there. I kiss my mother on the cheek, then I slap Liam's back.  He tries to slap me back, but I sidestep his slap.

Right away, Mom starts asking questions. “Gabriel, what was that all about last night with Fallon?”

With amusement in my tone, I say, “Seems like our little Fallon got herself drunk last night.”

“Gabriel, you didn’t.” She acts shocked, like I might have taken advantage of the situation.

“Of course, I didn’t. Who do you think I am? I just helped her upstairs, where she got sick. I decided to stay with her in case she got sick again.”

“Thank you,” comes from the entry. It’s Fallon.

We all look up to see her. “You’re welcome.”

She might be hungover, but she’s still quite a sight.

Liam jumps up and walks to her, puts his arm around her, and says, “Aww, my little grasshopper. Were you bad last night? Did Gabriel have to punish you?”

“Yes...maybe...okay, I was bad, but no, Gabriel didn’t have to punish me. He was very helpful.”

“But I did have to whip her a little.”

Liam laughs and says, “I wish I were here to see that, but I guess I can whip you now.”

She turns to Liam and sees he’s not joking and starts running around the table, with Liam on her tail. Liam grabs her and swings her in the air.

“Don’t worry, Fallon, I was just joking, I wouldn’t hurt a hair on your head.” Liam kisses her on top of her head before releasing her.

I look at my mother and see her smiling. Fallon brings out the warmth in her. Fallon’s so comfortable around us all, like she’s been here forever.

“Oh, my head.” Fallon grabs her head and makes a nasty face.

My mother tells her, “Sit, Fallon. I will have Jeffrey bring you something that’s foolproof for a hangover.” Mom then gets my attention. “Gabriel, I will be at the casino tonight. I expect you to join Zander, Liam, and myself for dinner. Fallon will be attending, too.”

“I don’t know, Mom, I have a lot to do tonight.”

“Gabriel, I expect you to be there. There is no reason for you not to be.”

“Fine, Mother. I’ll see you all tonight.”

Fallon

Gabriel leaves without a word to me. Catherine looks over, looking very satisfied.

Jeffery brings my concoction for hangovers, while Catherine starts assessing me. “I know you are hurting right now, but you should be fine by tonight. Drink all of that, it should help.”

Liam assures me, “It works, but you need to sleep that hangover off, trust me.”

He stands, kisses me and Catherine on our heads, then tells us he will see us tonight.

After I eat a little, I follow Liam’s advice and go back to bed. I feel like crap. Once I lay my head on the pillow, I smell Gabriel. His smell is all over my pillow and sheets. It brings memories of last night. The way he moved over in his sleep. The way he held me. I never felt safer in my life.  That’s a feeling I want every single night.
