Bad Santa (Santa Land Book 1) by Kacey Hamford (3)

Eve

December 5th

Marcus - Are you meeting us at the restaurant or did you want picking up?

Eve - I’ll meet you there x

We were headed to the local Italian restaurant to celebrate mum and dad being married for thirty five years. They had a love that I always wanted, they never seemed to fight, they made the effort to spend as much time together as possible over the years, even when they were both working and trying to raise two children. They both put one hundred and ten percent into their relationship and I loved that.

I grabbed my large handbag and stuffed my Santa dress inside as well as my hat and mask. I was wearing a black dress tonight so I could wear my red heels. My hair was left down in its natural waves, my make-up was grey and smoky and my lips were a bright red.

I glanced out of my living room window when I heard a car horn. My taxi was waiting outside so I grabbed my red winter coat and hurried down the stairs and outside. At least it wasn’t raining today but it was freezing cold. I really hoped that it would snow this Christmas.

Happy anniversary, Mum and Dad.” I cheered after my brother delivered a great speech about how much we love and respect both of them. It was only the four of us at the meal and I loved that we could still spend quality time together as a family.

“Eve, how’s the writing going?” Mum asked as Marcus and dad started talking about Marcus’s job. He was the manager of the local gym.

“Yeah, really good. I’m writing a Christmas novel at the moment. It’s nearly finished, I’m hoping to have it published within the next ten days or so.”

“That’s really great, honey. Any new man on the scene?” She always asked me this every time we met up.

“No, Mum. No new man.” I exhaled, looking at the time on my phone. If Cupid was at the club tonight he would be getting ready to start his strip show.

“I’m just longing to be a grandmother.” She squeezed my hand that was on top of the table.

“Mum, Marcus is two years older than me. Shouldn’t you be talking to him about giving you grandkids first?”

“Oh, honey. You know what your brother is like. Scared of commitment, just like most men.” Just like most men? Were so many of them like that? Was Cupid like that? Was I wasting my time on him?

“Well, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. Sorry, Mum.”

“Maggie, I have a surprise for you.” Dad said as he leant over and kissed her on the cheek. “We’re staying at the Driscoll hotel tonight.”

“Oh, Pete. Thank you.” She turned her head and kissed him on the lips.

When my dad proposed to mum they had very little money, they lived in a tiny, one bedroom flat, got married in a registry office and had their honeymoon at the local hotel - The Driscoll. What mum didn’t know was that on their fortieth wedding anniversary my dad has already planned for them to renew their vows and give my mum the wedding day she should have had.

I watched as my dad helped mum with her coat, she was wearing a dark green dress that fell to the floor, her blonde hair was tied up in a fancy knot behind her head and her thin rimmed glasses balanced on her nose, making her blue eyes look even brighter. Dad was dressed in a charcoal suit, his blond hair was styled with a side parting and the love that shone from his eyes gave me hope that one day I’d find someone as genuine as my dad. He gave me hope that men out there like him did exist.

Marcus and I both climbed to our feet, we hugged our parents goodbye and followed out behind them.

“Wanna go for a drink?” Marcus asked as we stood on the pavement and waved goodbye to mum and dad as they climbed in a taxi.

“And watch you on the hunt for a bed for the night. No, thank you.” I waved my arm in the air as a taxi was driving by. He stopped in front of me. I gave my brother a quick kiss on the cheek before hopping inside. I gave the taxi driver the address for the club, there was a bar next door to it that I could slip in and get changed into my outfit.

“Thank you.” I said to the welsh man as I handed over some money. He nodded his appreciation and I jumped out of the taxi and headed into the sports bar to get changed.

Cupid

I had been dancing on stage for the last twenty minutes and I couldn’t help but look for Candy even though she said she wouldn’t be here tonight. It was that time of the night that I had to pick a lady from the crowd. I scanned over everyone and pointed to the dark skinned woman with short black hair. She had curves to her body, smooth looking skin and bright white teeth. But she didn’t do anything to my body. I didn’t want anyone but Candy. I was a pussy whipped idiot and Candy wasn’t even my girl.

I was pissed off when I came back from the bathroom last night to find the bedroom empty. I was going to tell her that I wouldn’t come here either, but she clearly didn’t care one way or another about me. All she was clearly interested in was my cock and how it made her feel. Over the last year I had so many offers to be with different women but I turned them down as my mind was focused on Candy and making her mine. Now somehow I just had to convince her that she was in fact mine and only mine.

As I placed Star on the seat in front of me a chill crept up my spine. As I walked around her grinding and thrusting in the air I scanned the crowds and that’s when I saw her, she was sitting at the bar. Her hat and mask were in place but I knew it was her without needing to check for her tattoo. Her body called out for me. I finished off my routine and helped Star back to her seat. All through the performance Star had been begging me to take her to the backroom and I kept shaking my head at her. There was no one apart from Candy going to the backroom with me. Once Star was seated I kissed her on the cheek before marching through the crowds towards Candy. She straightened up as she saw me coming. As soon as I was within reaching distance I grabbed the back of her head and slammed my lips onto hers, making sure she couldn’t get away from me. Her hands fisted my red suit as I ground my hips into hers.

“Tomorrow night, me and you in the Santa room. No dancing, no performing. Just us, together for hours.” She nodded her head in agreement. I stepped back and her face fell. “Goodnight, Candy.” I kissed her on the forehead before squeezing her hand in mine and walking out of the door.
