Thank you for reading this book. As an indie author, reviews are very important to me. I hope you consider leaving one if you enjoyed it.

This book has been an epic journey for me. Book five was going to end the overreaching story arc I’d started in Demon’s Destiny. In that sense, it had a lot to live up to. A lot of questions needed answering. I wanted a unique ending for my characters and to tie up the loose ends.

Whilst I was writing Cursed Heart, the concept for Death’s Angel popped up in my head. This damn angel would not get out of my head. He was demanding, insistent and I only had one question.

‘What is your name?’

I did a little research and the name Azrael came up. Perfect, I thought. Then I checked and found that he was known as the angel of death. And from there, the story unfolded before my eyes. Here I was trying to get Cursed Heart written and Azrael demanded my attention unlike any other character I’ve had before. I had to give in. I ended up writing about one fourth of the book because he wouldn’t let up until I got him down on the page.

Whilst I did go back and finish up Cursed Heart, Azrael still played on my mind. Him and Alice were these two people who were so lost in the world. They needed each other in a way I hadn’t even imagined.

I’ll readily admit, when I wrote Demon’s Destiny, I had absolutely no idea how I was going to bring the Darkness to life. So, it came as a surprise to me when I discovered that Alice was going to be its vessel. And not only that, but Azrael was destined to kill her. This whole book took me on an unexpected journey, from the introduction of Lucifer, Alice and Azrael’s love for each other and ultimately, writing God. I knew at some point he would have to arrive on the scene. He is such an important aspect of Azrael and Lucifer’s exile. It was incredibly daunting to write him, but the God in this world is complex and his motivations are never clear. I enjoyed that sense of ambiguity.

Bringing these characters to life has been an absolute joy. Especially since I was able to bring all five of my couples into this book. Getting them all together on the page was terrifying and difficult, but it was always my intention for this to be the last book. I wanted to tie up their storylines in a fitting way and I really hope I achieved that.

(As you know, there is another book and I cannot wait to share Lucifer’s story with you all too!)

Death’s Angel really has been a labour of love and I’m so, so happy it’s finally in the world.

There are a few very important people I wish to thank for being there when I was writing this book.

I’d like to give a huge shout out to Thunder Team Alpha Force. Sean, Katie, Gil, Paul, Kenny, Corry, Jordan and Marnye, you guys are incredible. My Twitter Gang! I met them not long after I released Demon’s Destiny and they have been there for me through the ups and downs of this publishing journey. I couldn’t do without them. They make me laugh every single day. And their support has got me through some dark times.

I know I dedicated this book to her, but I again must thank the ever wonderful, Sabrina. She has been the greatest friend I could’ve ever hoped for. She was with me every step of the way when I wrote this book. She knew all about the trials I went through dealing with the demanding angel and even gave me inspiration. All I can say is… cloud sex. She’ll know what that means! I love you, Sab!

Big thank you to my mum for reading Death’s Angel before anyone else. Her description of Azrael and Alice’s relationship will stay with me forever.

‘A tale of two lost introverts. Doing extraordinary things.’

And last, but not least, I will always thank my ever wonderful and supportive husband, Steve. Without him, I wouldn’t be on this journey. My heart is yours forever.
