Decadent: The Reunion (The Decadent Series Book 5) by Elaine White (18)

Chapter 5

Two Days Later: Friday

Levi smiled as Mack grabbed the video game controller and threw it away. He knew what was coming, but he wasn't going to complain.

As soon as Mack kissed him, Levi grabbed his t-shirt and pulled him closer. They'd been together for just two days and, apart from the initial misunderstandings, everything was going great; it helped that they were doing a lot of making out.

Levi caught the back of his boyfriend's head, as Mack lowered him to the sofa. He was happy to go; they'd ventured under clothes right from the start and he loved how responsive Mack was to having his cock in his hand. It was like he'd never felt anything better.

He couldn't even remember what he'd said to inspire this make out session, so that he could remember to say it again. Instead of worrying about it too much, he used his free hand to undo his boyfriend's jeans. Just as he had them open and free for his hand to squirrel inside, Mack caught his hand and pinned it to the sofa, while nudging his thighs apart with his knee. Levi moaned in approval, grasping at his hair, while his mind whirled with possibilities; just what was Mack up to?

Something squeaked over by the front door.

Levi pushed Mack away and they both froze, staring at each other in wonder.

Ever since Tam had hired college students to work on the farm, who all had an interest in the business or environmental aspects of the day-to-day work, Casen had been popping by more often. Especially if he was travelling to and from the museum. He had a key, so he could hang out or take a nap if needed; the farm wasn't exactly around the corner, after all. Sometimes Casen came into town with Tam at the crack of dawn just to spend time with his husband.

Mack moved to his feet, fixed his clothes and walked over to the door, peeking through the peep hole. “Shit!” he whispered, closing the door and heading back to the sofa. He picked up the controllers and shoved one into his hand, as Levi reluctantly sat up. “They're back. They're making out in the hallway, as if they haven't done enough of that,” he complained, though it made Levi smile.

As soon as Mack sat down next to him, he lay his head on his shoulder and told the truth; “We haven't. And that's about all we've done,” he reminded him.

Mack laughed and kissed his cheek, just as the door opened. He didn't seem to care that they'd almost been caught. Then again, being caught making out and trying to get off was completely different to being caught kissing his cheek.

Levi used his controller to pause the game, since he noticed Mack hadn't. Both their cars had crashed, but he didn't really care. He watched the doorway as Casen danced inside the room, with a happy sigh.

“Hey, kiddo,” Mack called out.

Casen looked up and waved silently, before making his way towards the armchair. He fell onto it and sat there, staring at the ceiling. He held his hands to his stomach, ignoring them in his innocent daze.

“Where's Tam?” Levi wondered, curious as to why they weren't together.

“He got caught by some friends. He's agreed to talk to them about the farm. He'll come back as soon as he's done,” he answered in a dream.

Casen was so lost to his thoughts that Levi couldn't help but smile; he was definitely a man in love. He decided to let him have his daydream.

He turned to kiss Mack quickly, since his twin wasn't paying attention anyway. “I can leave you two alone or stick around. Your choice,” he offered, since he wanted Mack to know that he was there to support him when he told Casen about their relationship.

Mack nodded and held his hand. “Stay,” he asked, pressing a few buttons on the controller to switch the game off. He put the TV off and settled back against the cushions.

Levi sat with him, smiling when Mack lay his head on his shoulder.

It took a few minutes for Casen to drag himself to his feet and head for the spare bedroom, which was unofficially his and Tam's whenever they needed it. “I'm going for a shower,” he offered, over his shoulder. “Ours went on the fritz this morning.”

“Okay, kiddo,” Mack answered for them, while looking down at their clasped hands. He brushed their fingertips together, watching them make contact.

Casen never even noticed them, as he disappeared into the spare room.

“Do you think he's daydreaming or he just doesn't care?” Mack asked, once the bathroom door was shut.

“He'll care. He wants you to be happy. I think he's just so caught up in Tam that he can't see anything else. He knows you've been flirting with me, so maybe that's all he thinks this is,” Levi explained his theory, reaching up with his right hand to brush his fingertips over Mack's cheek.

“Are you sure?” Mack checked, sounding scared as he reached up to hold Levi's hand to his cheek. Other than their fight, it was the first time he'd heard Mack sounding so vulnerable.

“Yes.” Levi was decided about that. He turned Mack to face him and kissed him. He parted his lips and tried to give him a distraction from his thoughts.

Mack seemed happy to be distracted, kissing back slowly and letting his hand creep under his t-shirt to press against his bare skin. When they broke away, Levi leaned against his forehead for a moment, letting him take some time to breathe and relax.

Mack let out a deep sigh and led his hand up, beneath Levi's t-shirt, to press it to his chest.

Levi could feel his heart beating against Mack's hand and the exchange of heat between their skin. He could only hope it was as comforting for Mack as it was for him.
