Chapter 29

Sarah

His eyes widened as I entered the room. I could see the fear I could almost smell it.

“Remember what I promised you?”

“No, you can’t.”

“Oh, I can, and I will.”

Running my fingers over the screw drivers and scalpels. They danced along them, caressing each one. I was going to become acquainted with each one.

Grabbing the scalpel, I turn back to Emilio.

“I’ve been dreaming of this.”

Pressing the surgical tool to his face just above his right eye I pull it down slowly. Blood leaked and poured onto his shoulder. His screams a melody I’ve been wishing for.

Once the blade reached his chin I pressed it into his whiskered covered dimple.

“Please Sarah let me go you don’t want this to end like this.”

“But I do. Not yet of course I want it to end a long time from now.”

Setting the side of the blade under his chin I push until he was looking directly at me.

“Can’t you see it? This is how it was always going to end sweetheart.”

I all but spit the words. Setting the scalpel back onto the table I grab a knife. Crouching down I look at his thigh. Taking the tip of the blade, I press down until the cloth of his pants ripped open exposing skin.

“I’m going to teach you to like it.”

His eyes watered as he realized his words were coming back to haunt him. Putting more pressure onto the blade I watch in fascination as it sunk through the skin.

The tip hit bone and his scream was beautiful.

“I love the sounds you're making.”

As I stood I used the knife to hold my weight causing it to fold slightly. I tugged on it trying to pull it free, but it was stuck in there.

“Oh well guess I need a new toy.”

Grabbing another scalpel, I go to work on his arms and then his other leg. The skin spilt easily under the sharp surgical blade.

“How are you doing sweetheart.”

I keep my tone sarcastic as I grab the pliers. I’ve heard of Lark doing this. Grabbing the skin right where it split on his left foot I pull.

I thought it would be easy to remove the skin, but it really, wasn’t it took a lot of jerking, pulling and twisting before the skin broke free of the tissue underneath.

His voice left him sometime after I reached his arm. The salt burned his opened wounds. He tried to find peace in sleep, but I wouldn’t let him.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how much longer I had before Jaxson found me. I wanted to kill him. I wanted to watch the life leave his eyes.

I needed this so the nightmares would go away. Standing I grab his once white shirt now soaked in blood and smudged with dirt.

The buttons popped off, exposing his hairy chest. I wanted his belly. I wanted to cut through his abdomen like I was giving a cesarean.

Looking at the offending skin I realize that needed to be last. Turning I grab the screw driver.

“Please, no more.”

The words were choked, and I smiled.

“How many begged for no more? How many begged for mercy? I will show you the same mercy you so kindly bestowed upon them.”

He wasn’t leaving this room in once piece. I was going to take more and more until I was satisfied.

“How many women?”

His silence had me looking him in the eyes.

“How many did you take? How many did you do the things you promised to do to me?”

I wanted to know. It was like an itch under the skin one I couldn’t reach.

“If I tell you, will you finish this?”

“Of course.”

I will end it, but not until I finish what I wanted so desperately to do.

“Hundreds.”

My stomach churned. I thought the blood and everything I was doing would have me puking, but no it was his words. Just one in particular.

I was speechless. Grabbing the screw driver, I look Emilio in the eyes and smile. I wanted him to know this was for them. This was for all of us.

Slamming the Philips screw driver into the area I knew his dick was I felt it tear through the fabric and I’m positive through something special.

His scream was full of pain, but it was barely a whisper.

“Did that hurt?”

He continued to scream in pain and I felt nothing but satisfaction. Grabbing the scalpel, I press it against his right hip. Leaning down a little I watch as the blade sinks deep and blood wells.

Dragging the blade towards his other hip I watch as the blood flow became a river of red.

“I wanted more time. There were some many things I wanted to do to you. But if I don’t finish now Jaxson will stop me.”

I watched as the skin and tissue separated, and his insides started to show. I knew the skin would rip and stretch as he was hanging up right not laying down.

The door opening had me turning and my eyes widening. Jaxson stood there staring at me. I looked around the room, blood coated most of the floor.

Then I look at myself and I was red. My hair my cloths, everything was covered in Emilio.

“Darlin?”

I could hear the fear and concern in his voice. He was always worried about me, but it wasn’t his place to worry or care he was getting married and I wasn’t the lucky woman.

“Come here.”

My feet shuffled, and I didn’t bother looking back as Emilio struggled to breath. I could hear the shallow, slow breaths. They were few and far between.

“Let’s get you cleaned up.”

I could only nod. I felt relief that it was over, and I felt exhausted at the same time. Jaxson pulled me close and I resisted the urge to snuggle deep.

Last night was our last together. That was my goodbye. I gave him all I had to give.

“We need to talk darlin.”

I didn’t want to talk I wanted to get cleaned up and get some rest. The door to this room never seemed so far away.

“Sarah.”

Pulling away I look at him. Couldn’t this wait? I know what we did last night was wrong, but I really wanted to get clean and enjoy my victory.

Turning I look over his shoulder longingly. This conversation could wait until the end of time. I didn’t want to hear how he belonged to another.

“I love you.”

And just like that, he added salt to my wounds.

“Look at me.”

I couldn’t, even though I knew it was over and never would be the fact he was going to tell me that exact thing was like being torn in two.

His fingers gripped my chin, forcing my face in his direction. Closing my eyes was the only control I had over the situation. He could make me face him, but he couldn’t make me look at him.

“Fine darlin.”

He released me, and I fought the urge to look. It was a trick to get me to open my eyes.

“Look at me Sarah please.”

Slowly I opened my eyes and tears filled them. He was on his knee. The floor covered in blood. Blood I spilled, and he was holding a ring.

“Marry me darlin.”

I wanted to ask about Alisa, but I couldn’t bring myself to care for her feelings. I was selfish, and this was the happily ever after I always wanted.

“Yes!”

Slowly I sunk into his arms the cooling blood soaking further into our clothes.

“You are fucking perfect.”

Most women got engaged in a flower garden or at a fancy dinner and I have to say poor them. I got engaged in the center of my revenge, the very soul freeing center for so many of his victims.

“I love you.”

I whisper the words against his lips as he kisses me and set my world to rights.
