Letting Go (Robson Brothers Book 2) by A.T. Brennan (6)

Chapter Six

JAY

––––––––

Even as I was walking Paige home I was torn. A part of me had wanted to ask her to stay, not so we could mess around again, but because I wanted to spend the night with her.

I’d slept with girls before, but that was usually out of convenience and not desire. If it was really late, I was drunk, or crazy far from my apartment I’d sleep over and then leave in the morning. It was relatively early, I was barely buzzed, and Paige lived less than twenty minutes away if we took our time.

I wanted to know what it would be like to sleep next to her. To hold her all night. I wanted to wake up with her, cook her breakfast and not rush to separate.

I’d been worried about her not being able to separate things but it looked like I was the one getting confused. After learning about her relative inexperience a part of me had wondered if she’d be able to be physical without confusing things and thinking there was more going on. She didn’t seem to be having any trouble, while I was thinking about breakfast and cuddling.

I didn’t know what it was about her but I’d meant what I’d said. I wanted her to be different from the other girls I’d had. I didn’t just want to fuck her, I wanted to know her.

We didn’t talk much as we walked toward her place, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. I’d never been one for talking just to fill the silence, and it would seem she wasn’t either.

“What are you doing tomorrow?” I asked when we reached her building.

“Nothing so far.” She smiled up at me. “I have homework I need to do during the day but that’s all I have planned.”

“Do you want to do something?”

“Sure. I’d like that.” She flushed and bit her lip. “Any idea what you want to do?”

“How about I work on that and I’ll fill you in tomorrow?”

“Will I have a say in it?” she asked, raising her eyebrow at me

“Nope.” I grinned. “You said it yourself, you try to control everything around you. Tomorrow you’re going to let me have control.”

She bit her lip as she looked at me. After a moment she gave me a brilliant smile. “Deal.”

“Good. I’ll text you tomorrow.”

“I’ll talk to you then.”

I bent my head and gave her a sweet kiss. When I pulled away I could almost still feel her lips on mine and couldn’t stop myself from tracing my fingers over her cheek.

She sighed at the contact, tipping her head slightly so she pressed against my fingers and that simple move made me grin.

“Tomorrow.” I dropped my hand and stepped away from her. If I didn’t I wasn’t sure I’d be able to leave.

I watched as she made her way into her building, and when she was through the security door I stuck my hands in my pockets and turned to head back to my place.

I’d thought being friends with benefits would be simple, but it would seem that nothing involving Paige would ever be simple.

PAIGE

“And?” Jules asked the minute I opened the door to the apartment.

“You’re home?”

“Yeah. I wasn’t feeling the club.”

“Any reason?” I came to sit with her on the couch. Jules wasn’t exactly a bar star, but she liked to party and she didn’t come home early very often.

“I’m kind of not feeling the whole scene right now. It’s the same thing every time. You go out, drink, dance, flirt and then either find someone or go home alone. The next time it’s the same—lather, rinse, repeat.”

“Do you think you want something more?”

“Yeah.” She sighed. “I thought not settling down or being with one person would be better for me, that I’d be able to move on...”

“But it’s not working the way you hoped it would?”

“No.”

“Why don’t you take a break for a while? If you meet someone then test it out, see if you’re ready to date again. If not then enjoy the time alone. You have friends, you have me.” I grinned. “You don’t need a guy to be happy.”

“I know.” She draped her arm over my shoulder and hugged me close. “Some days I think I’ve got it all figured out and then it’s like I don’t know what the hell is going on in my own head.”

“I know. I get that.”

“How did your night go?”

“It was...interesting.”

“Oh really?” She gave me a gentle shake. “Don’t leave me hanging.”

“Jay and I played a drinking game where we told each other truths about ourselves.”

“And let me guess, it went dirty in about five seconds?”

“Oh yeah.” I laughed. “I told him some pretty embarrassing truths.”

“And were his shocking?”

“A few were, but not for the reason you’d think.”

“Oh?”

I didn’t feel right telling her Jay’s truths. I didn’t know if they were secrets, but even if they weren’t it wasn’t my place to repeat them.

“Then we went to his place.”

“Tell me everything.”

“We kissed, he went down on me and then I watched him jerk off.”

Jules let go of me as her mouth fell open in shock. “Wow.” She shook her head. “That’s hot.”

“Yeah, it was.”

“How was he?”

“My toes actually curled. I didn’t know that was a real thing.”

“Nice. Good job, Paige.”

“What do you mean?”

“Most guys aren’t into the foreplay. You told me yourself your ex was the same as pretty much every guy I’ve ever taken for a test drive. A little touching, maybe some fumbling and then they either want you to suck them off or let them shove it in.”

“He wasn’t like that at all. He didn’t even want anything. I had to ask him to masturbate for me.”

“You’ve got one of the good ones then.”

“He is pretty great.”

“Why didn’t you have sex? Did you want to take it slow?”

“He did.”

He wanted to take things slow?”

“Yeah. He said he didn’t want to rush into sex with me because that was his pattern. He wanted me to be different.”

“Wow. And you guys are still just friends who fuck?”

“What else would we be?”

“Oh I don’t know, a couple?”

“No. We’re not together like that.”

“Are you sure? It sounds like you’re at least dating.”

“No.” I shook my head. “It’s not like that at all.”

“If you say so.”

“Do you need me to stay up with you?”

“Nah. It’s fine.” She nodded to the TV. “I think I’ll watch a little Magic Mike so I can dream of Channing Tatum.”

I laughed and gave her a hug goodnight. The way Jules watched that movie, fast forwarding through all the non-dancing parts, she’d be in bed in half an hour.

JAY

––––––––

Jay: tell me a secret

Paige: I’m excited to see you again

Jay: I said tell me a secret, not to guess mine

Paige: Lol. Okay then. I’m afraid of butterflies.

Jay: that is beyond adorable

Paige: now you tell me a secret

Jay: I dreamed about you last night

Paige: did you now. Were we studying for finals or something ;)

Jay: lol not exactly.

Paige: don’t leave me hanging. What did we do in the dream?

Jay: you sucked my dick and then I fucked you so hard you forgot your own name

Paige: mmmm. I like the sound of that dream

Jay: it was a great dream

Paige: did you do anything about it when you woke up?

Jay: I took care of things

Paige: were you thinking about me?

Jay: I haven’t stopped thinking about you

Paige: well, now that I have that mental image. Are we still getting together?

Jay: you bet your ass we are. Two hours enough time?

Paige: more than enough

Jay: great. Then put on something sexy and I’ll pick you up in two hours

Paige: can’t wait. Maybe I’ll spend a little time thinking about you too....

Jay: you’re killing me

Paige: I’ll see you in two hours ;)

I stared at my phone and tried not to think of Paige spread out on her bed with her fingers deep in her pussy as she moaned in ecstasy. Unfortunately, the more I tried not to think about it the clearer the image became. It was kind of like that saying, when someone tells you not to think about zebras and then all you can think about is zebras...only I was thinking of my fuck buddy coming so hard she was screaming.

Shaking my head I tossed my phone aside and went back to the textbook in front of me. As much as I wanted to picture her touching herself and maybe do a little touching of my own, I really had to study. There would be plenty of time to picture her later, and hopefully hear her scream for me in person.

* * * * *

“Wow.”

“What? Is this okay?” Paige looked down at her outfit with a slightly concerned look on her face.

When she’d opened her door my jaw had literally dropped. She looked great in leggings and a shirt, had looked really hot in the slightly loose and flirty dress she’d worn yesterday, but today she was beyond smoking hot.

She was wearing a shimmery silver dress where the top was loose and almost conservative with its short sleeves and high scooped neckline, but at her hips the dress turned into a gathered miniskirt that ended about two inches south of her panties. She’d put on a pair of black cage heels, a chunky black beaded bracelet and was carrying a black purse. She’d added loose curls to her soft blonde hair so it framed her face, and her makeup was both smoky and subtle.

“It’s almost too perfect.” I could feel my cock hardening and was grateful my black pants were a little tight in the groin area so I didn’t pitch a tent. I’d figured I’d be popping boners all night so I’d dressed appropriately.

She flushed happily and glanced over her shoulder.

“Don’t you two make a pretty pair.”

“Hi, Jules,” I greeted when I looked behind her and found her roommate standing by the couch grinning knowingly at me.

“Hey, Jay. So what are you crazy kids up to tonight?”

“It’s a secret.” I grinned.

“Well, you two have fun. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, and please do everything I would.” She winked at Paige and gave me sly grin.

“Later, Jules.” Paige laughed and looked back at me. “Ready?”

“Let’s do this.”

“You look really good.” She looked me up and down. “You’re the only person I know who looks amazing in all black.”

“Most people comment that it looks like I got dressed in the dark, or I look like I’m the lead singer of a goth metal band.”

She giggled and shook her head. “Maybe if you were wearing black eyeliner and polish I’d buy the musical frontman idea, but I know how much of a nerd you are.”

I laughed and reached out for her hand almost without thinking.

She smiled as she held my hand in hers, and I couldn’t help noticing how soft her skin was.

“So, where are we going?”

“I told you you’ll find out when we get there.”

“You’re killing me.”

“Now you know how I felt all day.”

She laughed and looked around as we left her building. “Are we walking or cabbing?”

“Neither.”

“Bus?”

“Nope.”

“Teleporting?”

“Driving.” I laughed at her blank expression and nodded to the car Jax and I shared. “You know that thing people do when they take their car somewhere.”

“You have a car?”

“Jax and I share one. It’s nothing fancy but our parents gave it to us so we could come home for holidays. Matt and Logan split one too.”

“Wow. My parents barely let me get my license. The only time I’ve ever driven was during my driver’s test.”

“That’s weird. Did they like being your chauffeur?”

“They preferred that I didn’t go anywhere.” She shrugged.

“Where’s home?” I asked, realizing I’d never asked.

“Roswell.”

I burst out laughing and she rolled her eyes.

“I promise you there’s nothing you can say that I haven’t already heard a thousand times.”

“Sorry, but for some reason it never occurred to me that people can be from Roswell. It always seemed like the place you go to, not come from.”

“Okay, that’s a new one. What about you?”

“Olympia, it’s about two hours away.”

“I haven’t left Seattle since I started here. Big town?”

“Big enough.” I shrugged. “It has everything you need and then some.”

We stopped in front of my car and I unlocked and opened the door for her.

“Can I ask you something?” she asked when I was settled in the driver’s seat.

“Sure.”

“You and Jax, where did you get your...”

“Complexions?”

“How did you know I was going to ask that?”

“A lot of people do. Matt and Logan are clearly Caucasian, and so are our parents. Jax and I obviously aren’t.”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it. I honestly don’t care I was just—”

“It’s okay.” I smiled as I pulled out of the parking spot. “It doesn’t bother me and I know you don’t care. Our dad was Colombian and our mom was Puerto Rican. Our birth names are Jason Gael Martinez and Jaxon Enrique Martinez.”

“And you go by Robson now?”

“We tacked it onto our names. Martinez is now a shared middle name and our last names are Robson.” I glanced over at her. “You have a middle name?”

“Cornelia.” She laughed at my expression. “It’s a family name.”

“It’s...unique.”

“That’s one word for it.” She looked around as I drove. “Where are we going?”

“I told you, you’ll find out when we get there.” I grinned.

“Fine.” She huffed, looking absolutely adorable as she did.

“We’ll be there in ten minutes, then the torture will be over.”

“Okay. I can wait ten more minutes.”

We fell into casual conversation for the rest of the drive, and I was a little ashamed to say I spent far too much time looking down at Paige’s legs as I drove. Thankfully it was an easy drive, but I’d have to be more attentive to the task at hand on our way back.

“I’m confused.” Paige looked around as she stepped out of the car. “Where are we?”

“Parked.” I laughed and came around to her side of the car. “We have to walk a few blocks. You good to do it in heels?”

“I can run in these things if I need to.” She grinned and reached for my hand.

“Impressive as that is, I’m not planning on doing any sprints tonight so you shouldn’t need to demonstrate.”

A few minutes later our destination came into view and I glanced at Paige to see if this was either a great idea or the dumbest one I’d ever had.

“A burlesque club?” She glanced at me, her face blank.

“Yeah.” Okay, now I was leaning toward this being a stupid, stupid idea.

“Awesome.” She grinned, her entire face lighting up. “I love burlesque! I’ve always wanted to take a class.”

“Why haven’t you?”

“I have the rhythm of a baby elephant and the coordination of a newborn deer.”

I laughed at the mental image of her stomping and stumbling around and shook my head. “Well, you certainly didn’t seem to have any trouble when we danced.”

“Maybe not, but you were leading.” She grinned. “So that was your skills rubbing off on me.”

“The way you were moving it almost wasn’t just my skills.”

She blushed at my words, her eyes sparkling with both desire and humor.

“Come on, let’s go watch some dancing, have a few drinks and see how brave you get.” I winked and led her into the club.

“If you’re hinting at me dancing, forget it. There’s no freaking way in hell I’m dancing in public without you there to lead me.”

“What about in private?” I asked wickedly as I paid our entrance fee and steered her over to one of the rounded booths against the wall so we could sit next to each other.

“Depends how many drinks I have, and how nicely you ask,” she said with a coquettish grin as she slid into the booth.

I sat beside her and pulled her up against my body, giving her a deep, but still brief kiss.

“Pretty please?”

“Ask me again when we’re alone and I’m pretty sure you’ll like the answer.”

I groaned softly and put my hand on her silky knee as we turned our attention to the stage. The show should be starting in about five minutes.

“Can I get you guys a drink?” A waitress in a black minidress asked as she came up to our table.

“Whatever you have on draft.” I glanced at Paige. “Go ahead, order whatever you want,” I urged when she hesitated.

“White wine?”

“House wine, or would you like to see the vintages?”

“House is fine.” She blushed.

“Coming right up.”

“You ready to watch some dancing?”

“Bring it on.” Paige grinned and put her hand over mine. “Just try to keep the drooling to a minimum.”

“It won’t be them I’m drooling over.” I leaned over and put my lips next to her ear. “I’ve had this since you opened your door.”

I reached over and gently took her wrist so I could guide her hand over to my groin. “This is what you do to me.” I brushed her hand over my cock so she could feel how I was already semi-hard, and then pressed her hand down so she could feel me getting harder until I was sporting a full on erection.

The thought of Paige stroking me off in the middle of the club, her actions covered by the tablecloth, suddenly flashed in my mind and I let go of her hand. As amazing as that would be, it wasn’t happening. Semi-public foreplay was a favorite of mine, but I wasn’t going to ask Paige to do something so risqué. I didn’t want her to feel used or pressured. I wanted her to feel special. Begging for a handy at the club wasn’t special.

Instead I leaned back and tried to focus on the stage. There was plenty of time to think about Paige later.

* * * * *

“What did you think?” I asked when the curtain was closed and we’d stopped clapping.

“It was amazing. The way they can dance in those heels...how they move their bodies. It’s sensual without being dirty...kind of like those dancers who do pole tricks.”

I almost spit out the last sip of my drink. I’d managed to nurse my beer for the hour-long show while Paige had enjoyed a refill since she wasn’t driving.

“Say what?”

“You know, the dancers at strip clubs who use the pole for more than just grinding on.”

“You’ve seen a lot of strippers?”

“Not in real life.” She laughed. “But I imagine they must exist outside of the movies.”

“I imagine they would.”

“You’ve never been to a strip club?”

“I have, just not one with the kind of dancers you’re talking about.”

“So it was more the bump and grind kind?”

“And the floorshow kind.”

“Sexy.” She winked.

“It had it’s moments.”

“I have to go to the bathroom, can you see where it is?”

“Um,” I looked around and saw a sign against the far wall, “Over there, I think. How about I go pay our tab and you meet me at the bar after?”

“Sounds good.” She reached up and gave me a quick kiss. “You’ll have to let me out.”

“Right.” I chuckled and slid out of the booth so she could get out. Before she could go I gave her one last kiss and then watched her walk away, my eyes on her ass until she disappeared around a corner.

Grinning like an idiot I made my way over to the bar to pay off our drinks.

“As I live and breathe, if it isn’t Jay Robson.”

I turned at the sound of my name and immediately recognized the woman the voice belonged to.

The last time I’d seen her was on my seventeenth birthday. She’d been beautiful then and was even more gorgeous now. Her wheat blonde hair was long and fell in a straight sheet down her back. Her blue eyes were sweeping up and down my body as her full, pouty lips pursed provocatively. The midnight blue dress she was wearing left nothing to the imagination, and her sky-high heels made her petite frame look incredible.

“Jessie?” I had to shake my head. “I...”

“It’s been a long time.” She looked me up and down again before taking a step closer to me. “A very long time.”

“It has...” My brain wasn’t working at the moment and I couldn’t seem to finish a sentence.

“Did you want to settle?” the bartender asked, breaking my daze.

“Yes, please.” I shook my head and took the bill. I managed to glance at the total and handed over enough to cover the drinks and a decent tip.

“How have you been?”

“Good.” I was able to focus again and my mouth was once again connected to my brain. “How have you been?”

“Can’t complain. I’ve missed you.”

“Jay?”

Oh shit. Of course Paige would come up at that moment.

“Paige.” I turned to her. She looked a little stunned, and it was at that moment I realized Jessie and Paige looked a lot alike. “Um...”

“Who’s your date?” Jessie asked, giving Paige a look that was somewhere between distaste and competition.

“This is Paige.” I didn’t bother to correct her, and even with all the craziness that was going on in that moment, it felt kind of good to call Paige my date. “And this is Jessie. We went to highschool together.”

“Oh, Jay.” Jessie giggled and tossed her hair. “You make it sound like we had study hall together. Jay and I dated.”

“Dated?”

“For a year.” Jessie glanced at me and gave me another one of those secret grins that had to be making Paige think things she shouldn’t be.

“Wow.” Paige looked at me and bit her lip.

“Back in highschool,” I repeated lamely.

Her face was unreadable. I had no idea what she was thinking but something told me it wasn’t anything good.

“Interesting.” Paige looked at me, completely ignoring Jessie. “Do you want to get out of here?”

“Um, yeah.” I glanced at Jessie. “It was nice to see you again, but we have to go.”

Paige didn’t even wait for Jessie to say anything, she just slipped her hand in mine and tugged me toward the door.

I couldn’t tell if she was mad. She wasn’t saying anything and she was walking with a purpose. I didn’t want to chance saying something stupid so I kept my mouth shut.

We made it back to my car in record time, and after climbing in I looked at her.

“Paige?”

“Just drive.”

Damn it. She was mad.

I didn’t really blame her. I’d never told her I’d had a girlfriend in the past, I’d just let her believe I’d always kept things casual with girls. We weren’t dating and hadn’t exactly been out on a date, but it still had to be a bit weird for her. It had been hella weird for me.

“Pull over up there.”

“Paige?”

“Up there, that alley.” She pointed ahead of us.

I bit my lip and put on my turn signal.

“Drive a bit down,” she instructed when I started to slow the car.

I drove a little farther down the alley and stopped the car. “Paige?”

Silently she undid her seatbelt and opened the car door.

“Paige, wait—” I undid my seatbelt and shoved my door open as she came around the car.

Still not saying a word she leaned into the car and kissed me, deep. This wasn’t a sweet or gentle kiss, this was a kiss of passion and heat. Her hands fisted in my hair, tugging on the strands as she sucked my lip ring into her mouth and gently bit it, making me groan as pleasure erupted in my body.

“What the—”

“Pull your cock out.”

“What?” I was having a hard time following whatever the fuck was going on.

“Pull your cock out. I’m going to suck you off.”

Her eyes were determined, and when she licked her bottom lip I snapped out of my daze. I had no idea what the fuck was happening, but I wasn’t about to argue with her.

She crouched in front of me as I spread my knees so she could get closer. I pulled open my pants and reached into my boxer briefs as she stared up at me with hungry eyes. My dick was already rock hard, and as soon as I pulled it out she leaned toward me.

“Fuuuuuck,” I groaned as she gripped me by the base of my shaft and wrapped her lips around the head of my cock. “Fuck, Paige.”

Her cheeks hollowed as she sucked me so deep I was pushing down her throat before she went to town on me.

Her head bobbed over my crotch as she ran her mouth up and down my cock, her tongue playing with every ridge and vein on my shaft. She sucked with varying intensities, teasing me as she stroked her hand up and down so it followed the path of her mouth. My hand threaded in her hair as I fought not to cry out. I didn’t try to influence her rhythm, I just needed to feel more of her.

“Babe, slow down. Fuck!”

Paige ignored me and kept her rhythm strong and steady. Holy shit she was incredible, and I felt my orgasm starting way too soon.

I didn’t know what the hell was going on, but the fact that Paige was blowing me in my car while we were stopped in an alley, and it had been her idea, registered as weird in the one part of my brain that was still thinking logically.

“Fuck, Paige.” She was too good, I couldn’t hold out any longer. My thighs cramped as my balls tightened, and I was about to explode. “I’m coming.”

She didn’t pull away, even as I tried to pull away from her. She just gripped me by the base of my shaft and kept her mouth sealed over me.

“Fuck!”

The pleasure inside me exploded in a single moment of pure pleasure, and I stared down at her as I coated the back of her throat with my release.

“Holy fuck.” I shook my head when she finally released my cock, licking her lips as she did. “What the...”

She grinned at me and stood up.

I watched as she came back around to her side of the car and slid back into her seat. Realizing my dick was still out I shook my head and tucked myself back in my pants. When I was decent and sitting in the car properly I turned to her.

“I know that was really...out there.” She blushed.

“A little. What triggered it? Not that I didn’t enjoy every second of it, by the way.”

“It’s dumb.” She shook her head.

“How about we talk about it as we drive back?”

“Yeah. We probably should.”

“So, any particular reason you decided to do that right then?” I asked after I’d gotten back onto the main road.”

“I was jealous.” She blushed and looked away.

“What?”

“Of your ex. I saw you talking to her and I was jealous, especially since she and I look so much alike. I thought she was just a chick at the bar you were chatting up, but then I found out you dated her and...”

“And you got angry jealous?”

“A little. I figured you’d never bothered to settle because you liked to keep it casual, then I found out you had a girlfriend in highschool and I got pissed.”

“So your reaction to being angry at me was to suck me off in an alley?”

“I wasn’t angry at you. I was angry at me for being jealous.” She glanced at me. “And I was angry at her for being so beautiful, more beautiful than me by a long shot. All that jealousy made me want to...”

“Mark your territory?” I glanced at her.

She blushed and looked down at her hands. “Yeah. I’m sorry. That was stupid and petty of me, and like I said, I have no claim on you. We’re just fuck buddies—”

“Paige, babe.” I reached out and put my hand over hers, stopping her from fidgeting. “You don’t need to mark me. I don’t want anyone else other than you right now. I might be a player and a dick, but I don’t mess around with more than one person at the same time. I’ve never been that guy.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be sorry. I have to admit, as unexpected as that was, it was probably the hottest thing that’s ever happened to me.” I grinned as she blushed again. “You can do that any time you want, and you don’t need to be pissed first.” I winked and she laughed.

“Deal.”

“And next time we don’t leave until I return the favor, at the very least.”

“What?”

“Ever done it in a car before?” I grinned at her.

“No.”

“Ever wanted to?”

“Oh yeah.” She nodded and looked into the backseat. “Have you?”

“Yes.” I wasn’t going to lie to her, she knew I had more experience than her so lying wouldn’t do anything. Besides, I wanted her to know the real me, flaws and mistakes and all. “A few times.”

“Then you’ll know what to do.” She grinned and licked her lips again, and that move almost sent me into a full blown fantasy. I didn’t know what it was about Paige, but no woman had ever had this kind of effect on me before.

I laughed, trying to force myself to concentrate on driving. “Is Jules going to be home tonight?”

“She said she was having a ‘her’ night.”

“What does that mean?”

“Junk food and sappy romance movies. She’ll be camped out on the couch all night.”

“Want to come to my place? I have a favor to return.”

“Yeah. Let’s go to your place.”
